Password Depot - Password Safe

Reliable & straightforward to use. Accessing password files locally or in cloud storage of your choice is easy. The UI isn't intuitive at all but you get used to it. I've been a paid up user of AceBit PC apps since 2006, their products are solid & support is excellent.

Once you get it working this app IS GREAT !!! I have password depot on my home computer been using it since 2014. I can never see myself going through the rest of my life without the pc and android version of password Depot. And its cause it was given away for free on giveawayoftheday that i have found such a dependable program.

Tricky but i got it working. First off i installed a local copy of v9 and it wouldn't load saying it was not for my device but after updating to v10 on Google Play it did launch ok. I have it previously running on a Moto E 2015 Lollipop / Marshmallow but never really bothered using it. I wanted to try it on an Acer A1-830 (on 4.4.2) which is what i am talking about here. It DOES work on it and it DOES have an INTEL CPU etc. I exported a pswx file from windows 7 then realized it wasn't going to let me import on Android (i went through this on the Moto E way back too) So i changed the extention with RootExplorer (i had the pswx file on my sdcard) Then i managed to navigate to it in the menu and tried to load it and it crashed tried again and got it open but kept getting error messages saying it can't save a file in the same directory. So i cleared the stored data for the APK then reloaded it and opened the "Shared Directory" location then i copied the pswd file using RootExplorer to that location it wanted.. bingo no more nagginga and it seems to be working normal now. There is room for improvement obviously but hey..can't complain about free right ?

Having a problem importing the pswx file on to your mobile? I just received an email from Acebit stating a document error exists for Microsoft One Drive instead of the folder location being /files/password depot/ it should be /files/documents/password depot/. Just move the autogenerated password depot folder to document folder (create one if needed) and put your pswx file there. Thanks Acebit support for working with me on this issue. Great job 5 stars.

Installed on Galaxy A and will not import PSWX file as I have no idea where it is looking for file and no obvious way to browse. Created several test files on One Drive and program cannot find any of them. I found them in two locations. Sad as I use PWD every day on my PCs UPDDATE After an exchange of emails with support I was instructed to goto settings and allow PWD to access the Documents folder. Once done, the program works fine and is very easy to use. Thanks again to the support team

Crashes constantly. Basically just sucks. Use anything else.

I can't open the file anymore, it always crashes, all my passwords are not available anymore for me.

Please make it work on INTEL processors as well!

Files do not transfer or update. Need to uninstall and re-load to sync ****.pswx files.

Simple unobtrusive app to keep your info confidential. I use the desktop version, too. Might not be as powerful as other software, but it doesn't run in the background and is perfect for a quick copy-paste of your passwords or user names, or a peek at your login info. Didn't use to crash under Lollipop or KitKat, but the last update erased my password files and backup.

Love it.

I've been using this one because when I switched from blackberry to android, this was the most comparable app to the BB app I had. It could be a little more user friendly. Even after the update it still freezes when I open it. I get a black screen. I have to keep opening and closing it until it finally opens.

I have used PD for as long as I remember... at least 15 years. I have used the old app for about seven years. I finally checked for a new program after wondering why it never updated... OK I should have looked ages ago.... the new app is locally and works wonderfully. Finally I prefer my app to the PC!

It used to work fine with my Android 4.0.3 device, but now that just updated it, I get this message saying that the "Application does not support this device." :(

Updare 12/22/14: now working fine on Android 5 -> five stars Great app, use it since years on multiple devices. Now I have updated my tablet to Android 5 and the app doesn't start anymore. Fix it and you get the fifth star...

Using a Galaxy tab 3 with latest android, the play store says this app is not compatible with my device - any news when an update will be released

I have been using this on my PC since version 4. Does the job. Integration with this app is a little clunky. Would be good if it was allowed to auto export to Dropbox/cloud on exit so that it was up to date by default.

Inability to use .psw files very annoying. Back and forth from the app to retrieve both username and then password separately also very annoying. Last but not least, password used remains on clipboard despite having option set to delete, so totally unsecure as well.

After using it on my desktop for many years, I am glad to see it available for Android.

This app does what exactly it should do!

So far so good. Works great. Going crazy forgetting passwords and bank info. Now I have all the info securely saved that can be accessed from the tip of my fingers. So many features in this app, all offered for free of cost ! Unbelievable. After trying this app, I have decided to buy the desktop version as well. Good job Acebit. I would surely suggest this app to my friends too.

Reliable password manager used to secure all my data sync across all the devices. Keeps things simple. Can access all my data saved either from my laptop or phone.

One problem I can't bring up a keyboard to enter parts of my password. I have the PC version which is brilliant, sadly, this falls slightlybshort

The UI is so refreshing, Password depot is the best of the lot.

Android version is very liberating. One of the important apps I have on my device. Feels nice to have mobile access to my password files.
