G-MWater for Android
G-MW Managing Director Gavin Hanlon said as well as providing up-to-date information on how much water is in G-MW's storages, the app allows customers to conduct water transactions on their smart phone or other mobile device, such as ordering water and confirming irrigation times.
"The new app will give customers access to vital business information no matter where they are or the time of day," Mr Hanlon said.
"We want to make sure our customers can access the information they need, right when they need it. Whether they are sitting at their computer or outside checking an outlet in the top paddock, if they want to place an irrigation order or check how much water is available, they will be able to do it on the spot," said Mr Hanlon.
Customers can also easily contact their local G-MW customer service centre and make online payments.
"Thousands of local community members and tourists visit our storages every year. With people carrying mobile phones when they travel, they can now easily find out how much water is in the storage, save storages to a favourites list and find out when levels are likely to be favourable for boating or fishing," Mr Hanlon said.
"We're trying to make it as easy as possible for customers and recreational users of water storages to find the information they need. Many people already subscribe to our online newsletters and this mobile app is just one more way of keeping in touch, and if people find it useful we will be looking at adding more features in the future," explained Mr Hanlon.
