Kizomba Harmony, a dance company directed by Monica Kay and Billy Myles and based in Houston, TX, is proud and beyond excited to announce the release of our Kizomba To Go™ app, the FIRST Kizomba downloadable mobile app for Android in the world! This app is for EVERYONE and will explain technique to get you dancing with strong fundamentals.
We believe that the most efficient way to level up in Kizomba is to take advantage of three opportunities: group lessons, private instruction, and practice. And although we don't believe there is a substitute for face-to-face quality instruction, we understand that time, resources, and location don't always allow us to take advantage of every opportunity. The Kizomba To Go™ app is designed to supplement all three learning opportunities by being a handy, accessible, portable, and AFFORDABLE instructional reference and practice tool.
In our app, you will be able to access video instruction that breaks down into the finest detail the finer points of fundamental Kizomba technique that will allow you to either start your Kizomba journey on the right foot, or keep you on track if you've already begun. We chose to offer instruction in the app format because we wanted to offer the most accessible, affordable option possible to students of Kizomba. So, you can stream the lessons wherever there is an internet connection, or you can download them to your phone and watch them WHENEVER and WHEREVER you would like, even WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION!
We specialize in teaching rock-solid technique in a clear, easy to understand manner. Our students, both in our weekly classes and in workshops we teach across the country and beyond, appreciate our ability to break down concepts and explain in detail the finer points of technique. But it's not like you can keep your instructors in your pocket to carry around with you right? Well, now you can!
Kizomba isn't about how many moves you can do, it's about how you MOVE. The Kizomba To Go™ app is designed not simply to teach you dance steps, but to teach you how to DANCE.
Kizomba To Go™ Level 1 offers 10 videos covering fundamental techniques of leading and following.
Kizomba To Go™ Level 2 offers 12 videos covering more advanced closed position techniques.
Kizomba To Go™ Level 3 offers 13 videos covering open position techniques, including saidas!
The Follow Series offers 6 videos covering techniques to take your follow skills to the next level!

Saving money and time with these lessons. Workshops alone are between $15-$60 per hour. Then lessons bought via USB cost $20. Nice quality and easy to follow. Love reading the blog. Keep up the good work!

What I love about Monica Kay and Billy is they bring the mechanics to kizomba. They break down movements, and that is really important. I believe you can never get enough of the basics, and this app helps out a lot, especially since I am trying to learn the lead. They are clear, well spoken, and easy to follow. I have had the honor of taking a real class from them in Dallas, and folks they really are a ball of positive energy. Great app!

I bought first lesson which cost too much compared to other dance apps...it had nothing more than an overview. ..so I waited months for more lessons like saida and real content only to find they are trying to charge per module. ..are u kidding? You're teaching kizomba Texas style. ..not even authentic Angolan and you expect people to fork out more money? No thanks...just ripping people off....bye bye

I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and the emphasis on teaching the basic moves/techniques (as opposed to learning patterns); this allows dancers to interpret kizomba music however they want. The videos are well produced and the instruction is excellent!

$3.99 gets you the very basic basics of kizomba. had a teacher? been to a festival? or have one of the 10 kizomba DVDs out there? you won't get much from it. Further, you can't purchase level 3 classes until you purchase level 2, so you may have to waste even more money before you get something possibly useful (hard to say since a detailed list of level 2 and 3 contents is hidden). Instruction is clear, but app is just a video clip collection, nothing else special, unlike Salsa Anywhere- a much better *app*

I purchased the app, and the once inside you have to purchase the other levels too... That is bad business, immediately demanded a refund as I am NOT a beginner kizomba dancer.

I can sometime go weeks and months without dancing kiz. I love this app because it helps me remember the basics and to just to relax. Practice then go have some fun. I can't wait for the future lessons to help me move to the next level.

I highly recommend this app if you're trying to learn Kizomba. My Kizomba dancing has improved significantly by studying and practicing the lessons.
