BixRemap

Awesome! If only there was a way to completely uninstall bixby, I have no desire for a virtual assistant. I have a company iPhone in addition to my personal S8 (I despise ios) and I keep Siri disabled at all times cause I find her to be little more than an annoyance.

Excellent start,. I'm having issues with the service it requires stopping and I have to restart it a lot. Because of this its not reliable and isn't much use at the moment, but when it works is great!

Great app! But does the app always have to be running in the notification tray? It's kind of an annoyance. But like it says, it's an app in testing so I understand. But let's get it to be a full blown app!

Does what it says on the tin..there is a slight 1 second delay when bixby opens and then google opens over the top. But it's a good fix (and only one)for remapping the Bixby button to google.

Wish there was a way to dump Bixby altogether, at least until it does something. This app provides a decent workaround to the problem Samsung created.

Simple and does what is meant to. Bixby is damn annoying when you accidentally hit that button.

Does not help problem, service has to be turned on to remap button... so instead if pressing bixby button and certain app opens, you first have to open this app, then start the service, then press the Bixby button. So it does not remap the button, its an app that has to be running to change what happens when the bixby button is pressed...

First it launches bixby, then it launches the desired app. When trying to press the back button it goes back to bixby and then opens the desired app again.

Works as described! If the dev can get rid of the persistent notification and spruce up the UI a bit, I'll be a happy guy.

Application works like it should. As he mentions it does bring up Bixby first but it is quickly replaced by the application that,was chosen. I hope he develops it further do it does not open Bixby first but just the chosen application.

Either this doesn't work in Canada or I'm doing something wrong. No response to the Bixby button at all.

Great App Bixby well kinda sucks...Now I can assign the button to a more useful app....i hope Samsung does something with Bixby or it will certainly be worst feature of S8....

The app doesn't work. I pushed the button and nothing happened.

This is great, I had to switch to Google now launcher (which is still great, but outdated) just for quick access to Google Now.

As quickly as I liked it I found the service that you need to start for the app to work keeps stopping thus the remap never working when you want it too.

Still opens bixby for a 0.5-1.5 seconds each time you press the button. Does not let you remap it to anything other than existing apps/services.

Fixes a huge problem on the S8. thank you!

Works great, but please add an option to remove the persistent notification. There's no need for that

Works only once after I remap it to open the camera. After that, it doesn't respond.

Worked as of April 24th. And it lets you remap the button to any app.

Still works after firmware update. Would love to have back button available too. Excelent app.

This app is amazing. I only wish it would start up automatically when the phone is restarted.

Make it an option to display notification icon please.

Works great! One suggestioin for enhancement. Right now it launches bixby and then launches app of your choice. Any chance you couild cinfig sure it to close bixby after your selected app launches? Currently, when you hit back button from your launches app, it goes back to bixby and relaunches your selected app. Sort of a loop. It's a minor annoyance. But love the app!

Works for me on my S8+, you can map any app. It does bring up Bixby but puts it to the back right away. Great job.
