GeoText is a simple application that will retrieves your GPS location and convert it into an Address and conveniently place it into SMS text.

Practical use:
Kids relaying their location to their parents for pickup when they are at an unfamiliar place.

Getting a tow truck when there are no visible landmarks or street signs in view.

The app doesn't give the GPS receiver enough time to sync with the satellites (as another reviewer has already said), and you shouldn't be trying to send an SMS through the app when there's absolutely no need to. Use Android's Intents system and let me choose the app to share the information with. I can then select SMS from the list and pick the number I want to send myself. It'd reduce the complexity of the application.

The GPS puts me on another street about a mile from my actual location if I use the GPS receiver because it doesn't give it time to sync with the satellites before reading it, and if I try to select a recipient for the text from the address book, it just forces the first number in the entry instead of allowing me to select a number for that contact. As a result, if I try to send location to my wife, it wants to send to our fax number and the only way I can send to her cell is to manually type out her number
