Geo Text for Android
I just installed it, but the description looks awesome! ! I'll update & let you know how well it worked under real world stress environments.
The app doesn't give the GPS receiver enough time to sync with the satellites (as another reviewer has already said), and you shouldn't be trying to send an SMS through the app when there's absolutely no need to. Use Android's Intents system and let me choose the app to share the information with. I can then select SMS from the list and pick the number I want to send myself. It'd reduce the complexity of the application.
The GPS puts me on another street about a mile from my actual location if I use the GPS receiver because it doesn't give it time to sync with the satellites before reading it, and if I try to select a recipient for the text from the address book, it just forces the first number in the entry instead of allowing me to select a number for that contact. As a result, if I try to send location to my wife, it wants to send to our fax number and the only way I can send to her cell is to manually type out her number
Works fine. U have to hit the acquire position button
More excellent if can explain by street
Sitting at home, gps and wifi on, adress not found, full signal
Wat a great app
What can I do to make this go away?
I use this app all the time now and highly recommend it. Works great!
