LaTeX Editor for Android
Please LaTeX developers big kudos to you. I've been using this app in my tecno h7 Android version 4.2.2 and it's been perfect. I have just got camon c7 Android version 6.0 and the app doesn't work. Please help I really depend alot on LaTeXAndroid
On android 5.1.1 "error only position independent executables (pie) are supported". No output produced. I hope this will be fixed soon. Thanks
Editor looks good, but it will not compile. Keeps complaining about the pdftex not being installed. Spent half a day to no avail. No help available, and no configuration assistance. Definitely worth the price ... Nothing.
I'm using Nexus 9, the application crashes before even it starts. Please fix it or give some suggestions.
Absolutely great piece of software! It even runs on my BlackBerry! The only problem I encountered is that package mathtools doesn't automatically install, usepackage{mhchem} fails because of missing mhgreek, usepackage[english]{babel} complains about missing english.ldf, and natbib doesn't do anything. Otherwise everything works perfectly fine, even very large and complex documents. Copy&paste works too. I do have to run the typesetter twice to get the table of content right, but this is within specs.
Typesetter says "error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported". Would be great if it worked - love the offline aspect.
I am very interested in this app, but at the moment it does not work. It immediately quits once it's started. Please, fix it.
I couldn't write in Hindi language.e.g. उच्च वोल्टता की प्रयोगशाला में निर्माणाधीन एक like sentences.And got errors...
Complains about needing a PIE executable.
Not able to open on Redmi 3s prime. Please help! Had previously used on Redmi 2 and was working fine.
Worked great on an old HTC sensation 4g, but I am now getting PIE (position independent executable or some such) error on LG g4. Also, the editor is displaying only the first part or some files.
Would love to use this, please fix and I'll re-review
It does not start, crashes immediately.
This app crash very often in my redmi 3s.
good local editor and tex compiler. mostly works, but i wanted to typeset a resume using moderncv and this app failed to load some necessary fonts, so i'll pay $7 and go with TeX Writer, which works all around.
I installed this app on my blackberry classic and it works flawlessly and integrates with keyboard well. Previously, I could only be able to use a virtual Linux and install Texlive on my other Android phone/tablet. The only problem is the tex kernel interprets the tex file in a way a little bit different from latex2e. E.g. newline/indent behaves strangely, hence I suggest those care about this use some naive Tex command such as noident to fix this. Any way, great app!

Can u please let me know where to place a .cls file to use different classes. ..or is it possible at all here
Hello developer, I'd like to know why the progress of this app was discontinued. I really wanted you to know that I've been using this for long not only for short/brief document but for complex TeX document too. My long association with this app has helped me A LOT and I have more than 300MB worth files in the /android/data/cz.latexeditor/ directory mostly downloaded from the CTAN archives + gaining experience with LaTEX. Please continue with this app.
The editor seamless links the editing and compiling process. It would be great if some simple command (cut/paste/etc) were included, and some simple setting control (font size/screen color/etc) were included.

still needs to deal with pie security issues, which are old news at this point. makes me wonder if this is still maintained. in any case i can't run it on lollypop. bummer.
Does not compile. The application is not supported in Lollipop 5.1, due to PIE (position independent executables) check. It'd be great if you can compile an updated version with the latest SDK, for Android 4.1+. Thanks.
It is a simple offline text editor with latex compiler/typeseter to pdf. The compiler could digest majority of most common latex commands. However, it appears that upgrade of tablet to Lolipop had broken some compilation assumptio, so that typesetting step returns following error message: "error: only the position independent executables (PIE) are supported". Now it is uninstalled.
Exporting to other formats did not work!
Doesn't work . Says it only supports pie executables work. Please fix it
Nice application very helpful for quick learning, but it crashes while coping text to clipboard all the time ... hope you solve this issue.
This is a very helpful tool. A point to improve would be document tree recognition with input or include commands.
Well rounded and good for writing LaTeX docs on the go!
"Missing pdftex is encountered again" error showing. How could I resolve?
I originally said "Now works on 5.*" Wrong: now it says error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported.
Using nexus 7 with 5.1.1, it cannot typeset, but can edit just fine. Even documents from Dropbox app.
Plz provide a proper help on how to run the written material and generate PDF
Finally. Works so well.
How to download the packages?
Really well done. The equation plugin is a great tool as well. Thanks.
