This application is only for Mediatek chipsets like MT6589/MT6592!
Mediatek has changed EPO URL to new and in older ROMs EPO stop working.
This app has new URL address for download and allows you set your own in future.
This app download latest EPO files from Mediatek servers and put them to system folder. It should be GPS fix faster than before.
- Required Busybox installed (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox)
- Required ROOTed phone
- Required Internet connection
HOWTO:
- Enable all types in GPS Settings
- Disable Auto Download in Location Based Service > EPO
- In Location Based Service you can enable A-GPS
- Update EPO in this app
- Check expiration date in Location Based Service > EPO
If it still does not work, reboot phone.
If you have wifi connection or mobile data, you can use: YGPS > Information and click on AGPS Restart for faster GPS Fix.

I was not satisfied with my GPS on MTK based phone .Few days ago I have informed about this app from my friend . After installing this app my GPS is working properly . But I have a little problem yet , that is, if my wifi remain off then its not fixing the location . After turning on the wifi it fixes the location properly and quickly , if then I turn off the wifi it still works . So for first fixing location it needs wifi, if I turn off wifi after fixing it works properly :) . Do you have any idea why my first fixing not work without wifi ?

My GPS wouldn't work and even a phone repair shop believed it was a hardware issue. After much research and trying another similar app that didn't solve my problem, this one seems to finally be a steady and permanent fix. I check it several times a day and so far I'm able to find and fix on satellites, and use my navigation app. I LOVE my Umi eMax phone, but the GPS was useless until now. Thanks so much for making my phone complete :)
