Settle Up - Group Expenses

Very useful on trips or simply in everyday life. Fantastic new redesign!

It was hard getting used to the new UI, but I feel it is good now. The previous purchases have been included in the basic plan for those who bought premium before the change in payment method, so I find that honest and commendable. As to whether the app does what it is meant to do, the answer is a resounding yes.

Ever since I updated the app few days back..I am unable to sign in via google.. It shows "Can't connect to our servers. Try again later". Tried reinstalling the app but still facing the same issue. Can anyone help?

Older version was better than this. I don't know what is the problem of creators ? Why they forcefully want to accept this new version? Did many mails but not get any sort of solution. At last yesterday, app did not sync transactions from last one week. Improve it otherwise lose it.

Great app. But monthly subscription to add colors and add photocopy of bills is ridiculous.

The Old version of App had better user friendly interface. The New version is slow and it is not in sync with each of the members. The expenses are not getting reflected in other member's app even after 5,6 hours. Please fix these bugs. The earlier version had an option to split the expenses with 1/2/3. .weights. And it was easier to add the amount spent by each person in a transaction. Please bring the features of Old version back.

The bubbles you use to show expenses is not at all helpful, it's confusing...remove it.. use tabs in every group & please use softer colors (like google color pallets) rest is all good... & These are just not my problems, many people don't like it !! This is the best app, just don't fix what isn't broken !! Good luck!

I think there is no admin access for the group..in that case anyone in the group can manipulate the expenses.. I think it's not a correct way... Provide the admin access for the group expenses..so that only admin should give the access to the group members who should enter the expenses details

Loved the old version, it was simple, used with without any problems for years. The update really messed up everything, in the end our overview completely got messed up, and we ended up totally confused about the amount owed. If you want to avoid this do yourself a favour, and download something else... Sad.

I have been using this app for several years. Now, however, it suddenly requires a sign in and I dont see why everything should be connected to my fb or google account or why I need to create a new account for this. Considering uninstall.. edit: they apparently recommend the creation of a new login, which as I previously wrote is unnecessary and I still dont see why I should not have the option to opt out if I do not care about backup of the data(since I dont need it).

This app is one of the go to apps of you are looking for a simple and clean trip expense planner. Hassle free and very easy to use. Better than splitwise for people looking for easier alternative. Will never lose the track of expenses again. Thank you.

After finally using SettleUp with its new design a bit more, I agree with the complaints I read about the new design. The old layout was much easier to use in many aspects and made better use of screen space. One example of that is the option to split an expense by weight/amount. The layout allows only one group member to be displayed at the same time, resulting in a lot of scrolling and no way to see everything at once. Trying to show all expenses leads to more clicking as every month needs to be expanded manually again, which seems a bit counter intuitive to me. Description says that the app is usable offline but that doesn't apply to creating a new group. For that, you need to be online which seems unnecessarily restrictive - if expenses themselves can be synced after you're online again, why not new groups, as well? Equally restrictive - you can't enter expenses when there is only one member in the "group". Instead you're suggested to install another app. That said, the features themselves are good, it's mostly just the design and the above mentioned restrictions that I'm unhappy with. Unless I find a similar app I'll probably continue using it, hoping for some changes in the future.

Should be a search and filter option Wish there was option to move or copy expense from one group to another. I noted multiple expenses in wrong group by mistake and the only way out was to redo it in the correct group and delete from old one. Also, how about adding mode of payment? cash card etc.?? In my groups page the plus icon is wrongly placed. I am unable to see the move icon for last group in list. I can't even change currency..

It has a paid version which costs crazy lot ... they give a trial version whrr i entered my data and now the free version comes with loads of advertisement where i hardly get to see the expense .... fed up with this app

App is good but it is not showing each individual person total amount, and every time that home screen circles are going off, and when I click on add button at the bottom it is asking me to install wallet even after installing it same thing happen.

Please fix this the issue immediately... I'm running Android 6.0 and the app is updated 2hrs ago. Seems to close as soon as I open.

Used this app on a 2 week trip with friends and it worked really well. Much better than holding onto receipts and bank statements and forgetting who paid for whom. Would recommend!

Not refreshing my account and theres no way of doing it..please fix this

No longer syncing with other group members, i.e. when other group members add expense, I can no longer see it

Best group payment settle app on the market. it has all the fetures you need to register payments, transfers etc. love it!

Why do I have to have 3 people in group to be able to record an expense?

Can't use it if you don't sign up with your email.

Use it as a house at uni for food, drinks, house expenses, tickets etc. Not sure what we did before this app, it is absolutely perfect. Simple to use but has many features that make keeping track of group expenses easy.

The app is not working properly the expenses which i am updating in my account is not getting displayed in my friend account and vice versa

Interface is more good now. But the ability to use the app offline is no more. Hope there shall be option to use the app without any account.

This was a fantastic ledger between friends where you could easily keep a running debt between parties. Since the recent refresh you now need two groups to support txs both ways between two people, essentially breaking the app. I hope they revert it soon

2 star for advertisements. Paid subscriptions are just a money gouges, like micro transactions for games.

It was all good until they made this update. (From the legacy design to this messy one.) Now the groups are not synching. It says it will sync when online. But my phone is always online! New payments added by people don't show up on my phone nor on others phones. Just when you thought you found a good app. Bam! It gets destroyed :D

This app used to be useful but since it was updated the groups are out of sync. My app shows someone owes me 1000 dollars and their app shows I owe them 80. This app has one very small purpose and completely fails in it's only use. Do not waste your time or money. There are other apps that work. It's not a good sign when a popular app that does simple arithmatic has a major release that can no longer function at all. Sloppy programming and not worth any trust.

Please revert back to previous version. The app is needed to split expenses not for praising your design abilities. Previous version was much simpler and user friendly, easy to use. Alike this one. Full of complications.
