POETIC BRNO

The POETIC BRNO mobile application is a tool enabling users to experience poetry in the streets of Brno. The application provides an interactive map, using which it is possible to find the nearest place with which a poem is associated, from your current location. – The point of this tool is to show how much poetic potential there is in this city. It also shows how many poets of different times and styles dedicated their verses to Brno, its sights and locations. This map shows poets writing in Czech and German, those with their lives and work closely tied to Brno as well as those who sometimes only passed through this city. This project includes both authors already deceased and those who are still living. We want, by means of the interactive map, to mark these places and, as a result, associate particuar poems with them.
