Microphone Guard (Mute&Block) for Android
Really wanted to like this but it does not seem to work. Google voice assistant always manages to bypass the app. Not sure if the app is bad or google engineers have managed to circumvent any attempt at blocking microphone access. False sense of security as of this version.
A spyware app that i use detected a recording by microphone guard while the app was enabled. (Update, i found out why it says detected recording. It records to block other apps from recording i think i can trust this app more then others)
Totally doesn't work. I've had the app set to mute everything and google still listens. Say 'okay google'
This app doesnt work on my phone. Lenovo android 6
Nope, I dont have any of those 'Okay Google'
Was working ok, after last Samsung update whitelist stopped working. Specifically Bluetooth is always muted no matter what.
This app, when enabled, triggers considerable power consumption while phone is in sleeping mode. ZTE Grand X Z933.
Giving less stars cause the app is asking permission to sound recording. ..need to know why..when i denied the permission its says microphone blocking failed. ..why this app needs sound recording. ...
Wasn't working before but working now
Time waste downloading this.
Network Accounts
Version3.2
Instead of just muting the mic, this app seems to disable it, causing apps to crash or fail to launch when recording video.
This app does not work properly to secure. It may be that google keeps obscuring settings with their spying updates. Needs more work to secure app so that it can better secure microphone.
First this app seems to work great but why does This app have record audio, sdcard read write and full internet access along with reading your phone identity and what devices are on your network. All of this together makes this app appear to be a spy app! Which is what your trying to prevent in the first place???.
This works part of the time on a Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet, but not always. It has never worked on Lenovo Tab2 10.1 inch, with Lollipop OS. I wish it did.
This really works for any thing no joke✌✌✌✌✌
i love it
if screen on - off function is activated, mic turn mic on and off, way to late.. i use push to talk ptt, but if i turn screen on, can't transmit, couse i have to wait for 30'' for the mic to unmute.. i wish could be more instant. please fix this and i will give 5stars.
I went into my recorder and the app worked but after playing my recordings nothing was picked up. I'll bet a lot of snoops are angry now.
Unable to turn mic on again uninstalling
Nope, I dont have any of those 'Okay Google'
Wasn't working before but working now
Working for me. Android 4.4.2.
It's very useful.
Does not mute my mic while on a phone call. I need to be able to record conference calls and not hear my background noise. Why is that so hard?
I need to stop the microphone then I feel but this app has no chance an absolute waste of time to download it must have be written by very very silly people.
Works very well, I have les issues
What I need now is a matching app for the camera. Thanks.
It didn't work at all!!! Uninstalling
Don't work
For some reason it turns off after a few short mins. This does not work. Samsung s 6.
It seems that it is not working. I can still record with the recorder.
Works fantastic. Checked it works with Elixer 2 app.
What I need now is a matching app for the camera. Thanks.
THOSE WHO DO NOT HOW TO CHECK IF IT WORKS, SIMPLY GO TO DEFAULT SOUND RECORDING AND SIMPLY SEE THAT IT DISABLES IT. THUS WORKS OK!
Won't stay on in the background.
Well done!
Doesn't do what I wanted which was to mute the mic while video recording, instead while trying to video record it generates error message saying 'CAN'T VIDEO RECORD WHILE ANOTHER APP IS RECORDING SOUND'

I just learned smartphones really have 2 microphones, and I love that this one stands guard over the one that isn't used for phone calls! I've noticed its battery usage has increased since installing certain apps. That tells me it's doing its job to hold down the fort. Well done. Only thing possibly better would be a physical kill switch. In a future update I would really like to be able to see Which apps are accessing my microphone, or trying to.
