Groundwire for Android
I have tested the app for a while now. Other apps like csipsimple or bria has have better audio quality
Suddenly reads contacts when in background.
After to many hours trying and reviewing all the major sip apps, i've found this to be my 2nd equal sip phone app, Test phone is a Zenfone 3 running Android 7. Two accounts registered, used in a small business environment, interface is one of the best, good call quality, reliable but in priority order if it wants t be the best. 1] ringtone is timing out, i think it's not looping back to the start of tone 2] be able to switch off missed call notification. Now what i have found that makes this app work on the Zenfone 3, switch off battery optimization in settings for this app makes it reliable, even when using push. to switch off the video function on the call screen, move all the video codecs into disabled, to get the proximity sensor to work, check remember audio route in sound settings, and on the dialer screen when making a call choose receiver by pressing on the speaker image on the left side, no matter what app you use, make sure your codecs match you provider / pbx, this makes a huge difference to call quality, review updated 9/5/17
Excellent app. The best among 20 softphones tested in a period of 6 years, although on the expensive side. Push notifications work perfectly on both iOS and Android. By far the best Bluetooth support around. Highly customizable with nice new interface and better settings. However latest update makes it impossible to switch off vibration on ringing even when general setting is off on android 6.0.1. On android 7.0 I had to set vibration intensity to zero in order to get around this problem. Also when the app is closed it also exits and so no incoming calls may be received. Bugs that need to be fixed. Still gets 5 stars easily.
The best app period. Gr8 job! Especially the push notifications. Dont understand why I cant chose my own ringtone & theme. Seems pretty standard on other apps. But its cool. This app rocks! Request: Since there is push notifications, can there be an option to close the app after a call. Don't really need it to stay open. Wish it could also switch from Wi-Fi to Lte without disconnecting and vice versa.
The push notifications work well and this is the make-or-break feature of this particular softphone client. I'd be giving it a five star rating if SIP handover was implemented, like other products on the App Store - such as Grandstream Wave. For now, when moving between Wifi and mobile data networks, ongoing SIP calls are dropped. This handover mobility is the one missing feature that would make this a truly brilliant mobile SIP client.
I can't hear nothing on Android 7.0. Please fix it
ask for me
Bluetooth not working with this app. It was okay before on my note 3.
I've been using Groundwire for some time, and am quite satisfied! Can you add the 'External Provosioning' feature like that of the iOS version? Of course, making other web services available will be very much appreciated!
I like the concept behind the push incoming calls, but the voice quality is not on par with other VOIP apps, and the GUI needs a major upgrade.
Freezes with headphones
Stable
Poor audio quality.waste of money
Very bad quality of voice
Fantastic
But you have to understand how to set up an account which is not predefined. Love the variety of options to configure. Developers, please add to the list of voip providers also BGOPEN. NET. thank you; EDIT: why no more support for Google Voice?
Very quality sound, great support

Bluetooth not working with this app. It was okay before on my note 3.
Once set up you cannot go back to settings. Probably it would require a hardware options button. Note4 Lollipop.
Please check the bt audio routing asap. On my Galaxy Note 2 + Samsung HM1500 it does not work any more.
on samsung galaxy s3
A new update yet still the same old lousy design.. This app used to be the best in SIP communication, now not so good. One of the simple things that needs to be updated is the menu key on 4.3 and above which I've emailed then about long time ago. And the design is very old which should be updated. Call quality isn't as good as I used before. Finally there should be away that I get the app which I paid for on play store for free on amazon store since they're both Android?
Although handling outgoing calls is set to never, it still tries to handle native outgoing calls and force closes. It was a great app, fix this soon.
Groundwire + SIP enables me to free myself from mobile networks outrageous charges
Really time for a Material Design refresh to the interface. Menu key and sometimes cryptic methods of performing actions, like deleting a SIP account, should be revised. As should last image showing version number in Play Store. Also, the ability to disable the confirmation exit dialog box via one time checkbox should exist, especially for those who have push notifications enabled. From a functionality perspective, this is though the best SIP client out there.
The phone works very well, as advertised. However even though it is not running it causes a error every time I use my mobile phone to make a call. Unfortunately once I'm connected on my mobile I cannot hangup or do anything else on my phone until I clear the error.
after updating android to 4.4.2 new version close every time while receiving call on gsm
Works well on Samsung Galaxy Note II, Sony Xperia LT26i, Samsung Galaxy SIII, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Sony Xperia Z1, but crashes on Samsung Galaxy SII Plus. As a notice to developers: in previous versions it was more comfortable to see if app fails to connect to SIP server (I mean green and red icons in Android status bar). It looks nice, but not clear to understand instantly if there is any problem. I think implementing option to switch between old-style and new-style icons would be great.
I have to say I've tried a lot of the SIP phones in market and I was a little hesitant... well... a lot hesitant to try this one because of the reviews & price. I think it has more features and is better suited on Apple's iOS than Android. But I gotta admit I was surprised. The one issue that stopped me from using a great open source softphone like Csipsimple was the deep sleep thing that occurs with Android phones. Every time my phone went into deep sleep with CSS I missed incoming calls. So I decid
This is the best voip application that I ever used. I have heavily used VOIP for a few years and this app is the best available. The support team helped me very quickly to solve a bug. I have been able to use the recording features, conference call and call forward. This is rock solid. I can manage my 2 VOIP lines from 2 countries in one place, and even make a conference call with people from two countries to another using my 2 lines, all within my phone.
On wifi networks over vpn. It doesn't work. No incoming voice! A bug I was told by the support that should be solved! A bug also in contacts search you can not choose from the pre-searched drop box. all else works ok
i am using this app on my verizonwireless razr maxx for a while and i liked it the most. but recently i upgraded my razr maxx from gingerbread to ice cream sandwich and after that i am facing difficulty in placing calls. no incoming or outgoing audio.....make sure the app works before paying....
My worst app ever. Very horrible and lying staff. Have sent two messages to them about the ddysfunctional App for almost a month now and no reply or help.
Works really good on iphone but often fails to register on android. Just get the free version. No advantages here.
Particularly happy that this has ZRTP support. It's an extra fee, but well worth it.
The latest version crashes when making a GSM call. Still no easy way to disable. Turning of push notifications does not stop incoming calls, have to uninstall to stop working. Hope it gets better in the future but at the moment it's not at it's best. Anyway I have uninstalled it for now and am looking for an alternative.
I buy this version, but it havent custom ringtone selection. I refund it and now buy acrobits softphone who have custom ringtone select. For this app one star.

Callthrough and callback services cannot be configured on my Samsung s8. The menus there are garbled and unclickable.
