Music Folder Player (original)

It's nice to have a music app that plays files from a folder instead of based on mp3 tags. This is a boon for audiobook listeners like myself. Bonus: The developer even added audio book controls...thanks! Even though the app has some on screen instructions, the layout and usability was not intuitive. It took me a while, and still taking me some time, to get used to setting up playlists or just playing a song without putting it in a playlist. Folder navigation, for example... the "up folder" button is on the menu bar instead of next to the folder browser. At first it only showed me 4 folders, but I soon realized that these are the only folders I have music files in. This may be why some people complained about not reading an SD card.

I'm impressed about the functionality and clean interface of this app. For me,it's one of the best folder player out there, and I've tried quite a lot. For some reason, folder players tend to be cluttered and difficult to use. Not the case here. Some things that need fixing or improving: - The search function does not work. - I can´t use the controls from my Bluetooth headphones, so it´s quite annoying having to open the telephone to pause/go to previous/next, etc. - It would be great to import playlist files created with other tools.

all in all it's great, but it has a couple of bugs. since I upgraded to the full version sometimes it doesn't see all folders or songs. and offline it sometimes "forgets it is the full version" which is a little annoying if I need to save a playlist in that moment. fix please!!!! :)

Has many of the options stock players should have had in the first place. Other Apps from this developer are great too!

I like how simple and neat it is. It has very atractive design, but I don't like that it doesn't pause the music when you get a call, it's annoying to listen to the music (even if it's at a lower volume) and the phone call at the same time...

Its new to me cause I don't mess..with electronics;but I love,music @everything can be use for sumthin

Does the one thing i wanted it to do, which was the ability to add items(single tracks and/or folders) to a currently playing list but seems to discard most of thr things i like in a music app and for me that's bluetooth control from the car, tried with two and it still didn't just do it right, can't pause, forward or skip tracks, shut down or pause the music when its no longer playing through bluetooth in the car... I guess it the one thing i wanted in an app though... Lol

Have reinstalled player on new ROM and it doesn't upgrade to full version. Have emailed the developer but no reply. Edit: has updated now, so I am happy!

I like it world this is a very nice guy and even if you go somewhere is still play music

Works well, sounds great... Been with this app for months now & I really like it *suggestions: •that you are capable to Bluetooth straight out of the app itself •whatever music you download/obtain to add to your app folder/playlist, gets saved on there & is not able to be removed/deleted if it's accidentally removed from phones download or other areas (that it truly links & saves music to app/folders within it & not be deleted, unless done manually)

Its not playing music, only notification noises. Want a better rating? help me please

It locates the album art of most all the music plays... I recommend this app and say "great" to the developer, I could give it a 5 ***** but 4 is cool

Garbage, would only allow me to search internal (phone) storage although I have an SD card and also an OTG cable with thumb drive with media files on them. Uninstalled.

The GUI design is minimalist and elegant .....but not until you try searching for folders and songs , confusion sets in .Similar players simply shows you the music folders and list out all tracks in plain view . Then you choose your track and tap play .Thats it done .Not with this app - you need a degree in computer science to figure what , where, why and how and more.

This is a good player if your default/stock MP3 player doesn't have the option to play music from specified folders. I was especially pleased to see the audio book nav buttons to easily go back a few seconds in the track, but the button doesn't show up on the widget. The light and dark themes look nice, but the widgets didn't have this option either. It has the option to download album art from Google Images but no lyrics. It could use an "ignore folder" in the folder list. Thanks for appgratis promo!

Good job with visuals. App looks very nice but there are problems with navigation within the app. When playing a single song there is no easy way to go back to parent folder. When playing a play list songs are not listed, although there is enough screen estate.

Pause on headphone button does not work when player runs in background. Also playing doesn't pause during a phone call.

It works perfectly on my Huawei tablet.Strange to relate,like I am hearing celetial music from Heaven.Great.Keep the furnace burning.Hmm,speechless.

But the most important things about this player is that it doesn't have widgets, please build widgets for this player please.... I meant different sizes of widgets..

it would be nice if I could use my mediaserver as source

At least so far ihv not got any apps work so accurate like it for My Galaxy,but yet ,it crash every second ..ihv sent a bug report hoping you guys will fixed it Sonny

I like this music player especially the sleep timer. I wish I knew how to just edit a playlist.

Okay Its perfect. I just had to learn the user interface. To any and all this is better than what ever music player you have. There is nothing better than being able to access your music the way you put it on your phone with such a beautiful and simple interface.

Don't know why users ranks this apps to minimum *, In my opinion it's truly treat for playing mp3 song's because of sync visuals and too easy shuffles options but only annoying thing that it's continues to play songs after picking up calls.

This is the kind of music app that I'm looking for! You can play songs in your folder, and you can even shuffle them in any particular order. Great app..

Every action is interrupted by ads. I understand the necessity if having ads, but the way it was done in this app seems particularly tasteless.

I think there are a few kinks as far as ease of use and the delay between songs, but the app is generally great. I got it free from AppGratis, but I probably would not have paid for the app.
