UPnPlay

I've installed and uninstalled most of the upnp/dlna apps on the play store and this is by far the best one for audio. The only other app that has come close is dlna player by ginkgosoft. As regards to the user interface of UPnPlay, at first I wasn't keen on it as it seemed somewhat dated but the more I've used this app the more I've grown to like it. I would like to thank the developer for a wonderful app and one which I would be happy to purchase if necessary.

The UI is quite clunky and confusing, especially now on Marshmallow, BUT. This app gets the job done, with no frills and no pretence. All the features I need are there, including downloading. Now, keep the logic and give a a layer of material design and I'll buy!

The first player I installed on my old phone years ago and one of the few apps I install whenever I get a new device. Very capable media player, the author adds new features with each release. Kudos for keeping it free software too.

The playlist isn't working. I click the plus sign and/or long press on a song and select add to queue but it doesn't. When I select another song though it always says 'overwrite playlist??' ...

This app is awesome, but the the left touch area activates as I'm browsing the external renderer's playlist, jolting the volume up to a high value and damaging my ears. Please add an option to disable the volume slider touch area. 5 stars for this

Works brilliantly. Tried other similar apps but this one just works and does a great job. Slightly clunky UI but that's a minor quibble. Excellent stuff.

Lots of 408 errors or it cannot find the file that I know it's there but this app say nope

The UI still exactly the same as when I first using this app in 2013 or maybe even 2012. The apps itself works perfectly but please update your UI

Every time I start playing something I get error messages but in a few seconds it usually manages to play regardless. Except when it doesn't. I'd welcome a "memory" feature that would resume podcasts where I left them off.

I have soundmate M2 WiFi player it works very well

This app works much better than the Cambridge CXN streamer installed version.

Some strangenesses in the interface, but overall pretty good

...allow for better UX and I am happy to pay for it.

I have never understood why pre-buffering the next track is made to seem so hard, it seems flawless here!

All most all formats of video play how ever .mp4 is not supported on the app. The same plays well on the TV. Pls add support for this format of videos.

Finally an app that does exactly what it says it does! Discovers devices quickly with no pop up ads. An absloute joy to use. Thanks

The only one of many I've tried that actually sees all my available media services!

I suggest the dev'r work on memory mgmt. End user has little control. Seems to work after low memory warning, so stop complaining!

Its the only UPnP controller I could get track advancing to work with my cheap WiFi Audio receiver. Bubbleupnp just would not track advance automatically. Nice and small as well. The UI takes some getting used to. Like to find out where playlists are stored and where they are exported to. Can't get any local renderer to work at the moment(but that's not my main objective)

My app of choice, but only one niggle - volume slider is too easy and so often I just blast it to full volume. Otherwise the best - chooses my NAS OK and my amp fast

After trying several DNLA streaming apps without success, I came across this one and gave it a try. I'm very impressed with this app so far. No crashes. No lagging. Fast connection to my servers and multiple devices. So glad I found you. Definitely the best upnp/streaming/casting app out there without doubt.

User interface seems easily confused. At one point I had to Uninstaller and reinstall because the play button stopped working and even disappeared. Usable after I got the hang of it.

This app looks like it's from Android 2.3. But it gets the job done without issue.

I have a Kodi (aka XBMC) media player - Loaded the VLC app and this one onto my phone - Now I can play music and video from media centre on phone and control the media center from the phone - easy - effortless. Just go to sort out transcoding and a I can get streaming to my Sony TVs from this one app. Great little app. Many thanks.

Does everything that it should and one of the better ones out there. Would give it 5 stars if the UI was better. It's very confusing! Dev PLEASE work on the UI!!

Would love to have a random play option. I just want to randomly play songs from any folder.

Although some formats are not accepted and the UI is quite cumbersome, it does the job.
