cShot for Android
The cShot app is used to report incidents of gunshots being heard from a distance. By getting multiple reports geographically spread out it is then possible to triangulate the location of the gunshot (or at least get a estimate).
A shot heard incident is created by simply opening the cShot application, selecting the number of shots heard, give a estimate of the approximate distance of the shot, point the mobile device in the direction where the shot was fired (heard from) and press the save button.
The user will see the bearing change as the device is rotated like a compass. The needle on the mini compass will point to true North (declination adjusted). The user can also (optionally) provide a description with any additional information before tapping the save icon.
