Senior Pal

Senior Pal is a mobile app that will aid senior citizens in performing their day-to-day routines by providing useful services tailored to their specific needs. Programmed for the popular Android platform, the Senior Pal app includes a total of eight handy features and is supported on a wide range of phone and tablet devices. Based on feedback from senior citizens in the Washington Metropolitan Area, each feature was designed to serve a special purpose. One key feature of the Senior Pal app is that it has built-in emergency response factors that will send a distress signal to relatives, neighbors, and/or first responders when a senior citizen encounters a life-threatening situation in which immediate medical attention is required. GPS coordinates are sent via SMS text message to allow first responders to quickly pinpoint the current location of the senior citizen. The goal of Senior Pal is to become the ultimate personal digital assistant for senior citizens across the country and help make a difference in their ways of life.
