Tracking Tool for Pokemon GO for Android
Makes hunting down a random "Sighting" much less frustrating, while staying legit. I definitely recommend this if you're a non-city player. Found my top Snorlax using it, saving time by getting 3 points on the map to narrow the search area, instead of trying to hit every known spawn location in range before it despawned. Works best when at least 0.5 miles away from the nearest Pokestop, so that your "Sightings" don't get pushed out by "Nearby". Only issues I've had: wish I could lower the opacity of the circles and hexes to better navigate an unfamiliar area, and have a smaller tools overlay.
I think this app hasn't updated since sightings last changed. I think they are using a 200 yard circle, but the game shows pokemon in a 400 yard circle. Other than that I like it. Its better than nothing for sure, and that's all Niantic has left us with.
It's not going to spoon-feed you the location of pokémon. However, it is a great tracking tool for visualizing the information in the "sightings" tab; making it fairly easy to narrow down a pokémon's location before it de-spawns. It's great, too, because it doesn't feel like the spirit of the game is being broken by cheating. It also functions as a personal map of pokéstops/gyms/spawns that you've been to, if you mark them on the map.
To dispay only the portion of the original circle once new circles are added. In short, don't draw another circle on top, just subtract from the original one.
Tutorial could be a bit less specific with the whole '5 hexagons or less' thing. Besides that no complaints. GPS works and the overlay is a huge help.
I love the tracking tool. Very helpful. However, seeing circles on top of circles is hard. Especially if you do not have a classic 3 circle case. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Please subtract the red circles and leave only the intersections of green circles. Thank you!
App is hanging after latest update - have sent error feedback - kindly rectify ELSE 5 STARS !
Excellent app! Tracking the way it was meant to be done. Only thing that would make it better would be a heater to keep the user warm in the winter. lol
...and it makes you wonder why this simple feature is not already implemented in pokemon go.
This tracker was amazing. But it has become unusable with the Nearby System.
Really very useful. Dev keeps updating the app. Would happily pay $$ for this.
Very laggy wouldn't let me click anything
Love the app makes tracking super simple
Works perfectly. I can track myself but this really helps. Highly recommended
HUD is cluttered and too confusing to navigate
Do not download this app
Don't waste your time.
Doesn't Track...waste of time

COOL!!
I'm level 30 and have 137 Pokémon in my Pokédex. I have never used a scanner. I can triangulate without an app in wide open spaces but using this app is so much easier, especially in built up areas. If it appears in my sightings, I can catch it 90% of the time with this app. It takes a bit of time to learn to use it but it is time well spent. My name is Tiddlyflop, and I endorse this app :-)
So far, this is the BEST tracking tool I've used, hands down! My only gripe is that there's no overlay for placing "seen" and "not seen" points on the map, so I need to exit the app every time. >_
I can't remove nests it makes another nest instead. Plus make it so you can delete nests, gyms, poke stops from anywhere & make a favorite location for stuff you can have as many as you want & delete it. Also finish the overlay.
I noticed a couple bugs in the previous version of this app and the developer worked with me to figure out what was wrong and fixed them very timely with this new update.
Only fails when I walk too slow and can't find it before it despawn. Found three starters just today.
Actually works, helped me catch them all :)
Would be great to have an option where red circles hides blue so you only see the blue bits.
This makes no sense
I don't get how you see the pokemon!!!
I've been working on an app like this, and I see you've got some of the same ideas. Mad props pulling it off! I've never made a phone app before, but each one of these I see encourages me to try even if I'm slow at it, this feature-packed one especially. Thanks for the motivation and, of course, the handy tool! Great work.
Pokemon in the Sightings window don't just tease me any more! Using the Tracking Tool has made it possible for me to find that sneaky charmander I see in Sightings: the app draws overlapping circles on a map, and shows me exactly where the pokemon can and can't be. The app is pretty simple to use once you get past the tutorial text. Click one of two buttons ("I see it", "I don't see it"), walk farther, then click the buttons again. I also like that I can mark Pokestops and gyms (and even nests if I ever find one) on the map: I can see which pokestops are within the Sightings range. Unfortunately, my phone doesn't have enough memory/RAM to use the best feature of the Tracking Tool: a map and button overlay so you can track without leaving Pokemon GO. With a low memory phone, I have to wait for the apps to reload every time I switch. (Or convince a buddy to come along and run the Tracking Tool for me!)
Overall, great app! But some more options might be useful: 1) Add option to fix position & click through. 2) Add option to choose size of overlay and have it remember size and position. 3) Make the timer start when you set the first mark, or at least let us start/stop/reset on demand. 4) Let us disable the intro message on start. I'd pay lots for these!!!
Locate mons with ease and no cheating. Map integration is convenient but feature marks on the overlay would be nice (i.e. stops and gyms added by user).
Simply and effective. It is hard for the first time. When you understand it is easy. Unfortunately, its keyboard is disturb so much. Please make it smaller.
Super usefull. Now if only it would show up only when I open pogo. Great job though man. Love it.
Uses basic geometry that I *could* remember on my own if I was still in my 20s. Saves some time and brain power.
Wont even open
Awesome UI, good overlay.
Prior to downloading this app I had my own method of tracking Pokemon after they updated the sightings list. That was way more complicated and not as reliable but then I came across this app and Oh my god has it made my life easier!! I catch my Pokemon 9/10 times now it's so helpful, 4/5 because where this app is incredible it still needs some work but still great in its current state. If I could I'd buy an ad free version!

I would prefer an increased transparency on the capture & exclude circles that appear on the map. Currently multiple overlapping circles obscure the map they are overlaid with. I would also prefer if the green hexagons were smaller to increase the resolution on the area where a Pokémon could actually be
