INAPH In-Breeding Check

Artificial insemination will allow use of bulls for a very long period of time. It may happen that a cow or buffalo being inseminated is close relative of a bull which is being used for AI. This will lead to inbreeding.

To avoid this, an inseminator or user can enter registered ear-tag in this application. The application will provide list of bulls which are close relative of the animal registered with this ear tag as per the information available in INAPH database. The response will be in the form of list of Father of the animal and full brothers of the animals.

The application can be used for AI technicians or AI service providers before selection of bull for insemination. Semen of the bulls displayed by the application should not be used for inseminating of animal bearing that ear tag number.
