Whoever designed it needs a pay raise! After going through a ton of media players this was the easiest and nicest to look at. Pretty much foolproof and can stream from nas drives directly to my Chromecast or TV. There is just 1 feature I would LOVE to see, a feature no other player has. I would like it to search through the media folders and then get description and reviews from online. This would be a killer feature. Anyway, really high quality app!

This is a great add-on for my Windows based Mezzmo server. My second TV is not a smart TV and I needed a solution to watch my digital files stored on the PC. The cheapest solution that I found is the Chromecast dongle. This app is perfect for my needs just select your Chromecast dongle under the Device tab and under Server tab select your media server. I now get to enjoy my digital files on my second TV and video playback is flawless. My tests were undertaken with the 15 day trail version (fully functional) I will be purchasing the paid version.

I was hoping this app would be good enough to become my Chromecast caster of choice, but the interface is just meh. Beyond simply playing video, it would have been great if there was an instant replay button (back 10 seconds) and a skip forward button (30 seconds), which is kind of necessary when my phone or tablet is acting as the TV remote. In fact, out of all the Chromecast-compatible apps that I've sampled, I think Mezzmo is the only one that doesn't have these basic transport buttons. Maybe version 3 could concentrate a bit on making it more user friendly.

No transcoding to renderer

This is the best app ever because it works on my samsung blu ray player and its too bad that i can't use it on my Apple tv

Paid for server on PC. Now have to pay more money for this!! Cannot even find my LG TV with this app. The pc server finds all devices including macs and ifon on the network. Even moto xoom. But this android app only found the integra av audio processor. Not evn my pc. This app does not work and Conceiva wants $$ for it???? Reply to conceiva: My TV is a DMR. Its a LGsmartTV. If the pc server can find the LG why not this app. Like I said, the pc server app finds the LGTV and registers it as a device. Win7 and Macs can play video files TO it. I can browse mezzmo server and play video files from LGTV. Y not this android app?? 2nd reply to Conceiva: My LG TV is a DMR. New version does not work either. Why does the pc based server find and registers the LG TV but not this app??3rd reply to Concieva: the phone is on the same subnet as the all the devices on the LAN. I can browse the mezzmo server no issues. Like I say it finds the Integra AV recvr but not the LGTV.Update: current version is working. I have already paid for server. Conceiva wants more $$$ for this.Thinking of switching to Plex. At least the server is free then don't mind paying for the client.

Unable to view photos from my media server (TP-Link WDR3500).

streams nearly every format of video (i.e. mp4) from my pc through my xbox360. My recorded phone videos are upside down though. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I'm over it. This is pretty much a remote control to edit playlist. HDMI cords and adapters are not needed. Yay! Works well with the S4 Active. Will I be able to search with the licensed version? Not a deal breaker, but it will be a major plus.

Figured out that you can't pick the app to play the video. For some reason I wasn't getting the message that I should be using a video player. Kind of confusing that mezzmo a choice but ends up choosing it as default makes the app not properly work.

It may do similar things to other apps but generally does them better. Compliments the desktop version well.

Nice idea but the interface is cluttered and the progress bar on the now playing screen is far too small to work with long films. This app should use material design.

Looks great, lovely interface. Will not play from synology ds214play to a Panasonic viera TV. will play from the generic built in software, but not from mezzmo

I have my media server running mezzmo already. This app makes it easy to push mkvs to chromecast and push my mp3s to xbox one.

As said before it works like a dream (Windows PC hosting mezzmo server with Samsung Smart TV and Galaxy Note 3). Great UI.

Im using Mezzmo on my desktop PC which is excellent so I tried Mezzmo Android also. I think it works pretty well and the interface is nice although not as smooth as Bubbleupnp. Still, when using Mezzmo on desktop and when transcoding media, Mezzmo Android is the better choice as its most compatible and plays everything. One problem I found: Whenever I pause any video that is playing in the Mezzmo Android app, and then after pausing it click on "play" again to continue I always get a "no device selected" message. So I have to go to device section again, refresh, then the device (Chromecast in this case) shows again and its already selected. Then when I go back to now playing and click "play" again it works. Seems to be a bug. Please fix.

Subtitles of supported media files by Chromecast don't work, I can't seem to find the way to force the transcoding of those files.

First of all, I think for those of us that bought the server, we shouldn't have to pay for this app too. Second, there are other UPNP apps that are just as good and are free. Bubble, UPNPlayer to name a couple. Come on mezzmo, get with the program. A Johnny come lately can't expect to win this way.

Not sure I understand the app, can only see local content and Plex server but not Mezzmo server on same network.

i am using Mezzmo server for last 4 years and pretty happy. i downloaded the trial version and tried, it worked fine. Bit unjustified that first you have to buy Mezzmo server than again buy this app. No doubt this is good app but some other good options are available like plex, Servio Etc.

I'm a Mezzmo Fan, I am running a licensed Mezzmo Server. This app is responsive and looks good, ensure that you update your Mezzmo Server to the latest update to make it compatible with this app.

I have finally found an extremely capable and competent dev. The Mezzmo team is the bomb!! I have tried all the most popular media servers. None of them even come close to Mezzmo's capabilities. Plex and especially Twonky are a joke by comparison. As a matter of fact, if Western Digital continues to use Twonky in their drives I will be finding some new cloud drives. Additionally, I use Mezzmo for Windows. So far, there's nothing I have not been able to do with it. Best $$$ I have ever spent on apps.
