Zymurgy for Android
Seems to be working again. It wouldn't load issues for some time, but this appears to have been rectified.
awesome beer knowledge superpowers
No longer loads issues. Just displays background graphic and title bar. SO between this being broken and Brew Guru not working at all for me, none of the AHA apps work!!
Considering that this app really does nothing besides let you read static content, is it too much to ask for landscape mode? Not only does it require portrait mode, but it does nothing to adapt the content to the device. You get full size magazine layout pages rendered in miniature on your screen. It is unusable on a phone, and a hassle on a tablet. Oh, and it crashes randomly.
It doesn't want to work anymore, none of the issues load when I open the app. I'll uninstall the app, then reinstall it, which then I have to download the issues again. Works for a few minutes then it doesn't.
It used to work but now all it does is complain that it can't validate the server. The update has fixed it and everything works again. And it has stopped working again. Just shows a blank screen.
Every time I open it crashes.
Looks like they have abandoned this app and forgot to remove it from the play store. It will no longer connect to their server.
1. takes a lot of time to load a page, although you download the magazine. 2. does not remember where you left off(bookmark) 3. can not flip the screen so you can read it horizontally
Used to work great but will no longer connect to their server.
The long-press problem seems to be fixed. Not sure about failed downloads (we haven't had a new issue of Zymurgy since my original review) or login session timeouts yet, but unless those make an unfortunate reappearance, the app seems to be working pretty well right now, even on a temperamental device like my Nook.
I love this magazine. The app also worked great until recently. The search function no longer works. This destroys the value of what was a fantastic app. Please fix!
This app has two features, the ability to read a digital version of the magazine and a search button. I can search through a particular magazine ok, but trying to search through past editions doesn't seem to work. Being able to mark an article as a favorite would be a welcome addition.
The app won't run on my BlackBerry Q10, although it has been patched to run Android apps and runs dozens of others without problems.

Unable to search articles, which is the whole point.
Used to be great. Without search it is just the same as the print issue.
But not for actually reading the magazine since it crashes immediately when you try to open one.
I'm a relatively new Brewer and always looking for interesting articles and new information. This magazine has that, in spades. What it lacks is a UI that makes it, in any way, readable on a mobile device (perhaps with the exception of a 10 inch tablet). I have tried this app on both my phone and nexus 7 tablet and the layout is really bad on both. I'd suggest the developers look at some other magazine apps and take some hints about designing an app for magazine reading on a mobile device.
I am having a terrible time getting issues to download. I have to try several times to get it to work
I keep getting a "cannot open document" error message on my galaxy s6 when I select a magazine to read.
Would like to see more from this app beyond the magazine. This could be a great platform if developed more.
I'm a new Brewer,so new to magazine and app and cannot compare to older versions. I would love to see two improvements: better screen size adaption and return to the page of the magazine where I last stopped reading.

It's great to be able to search all issues, but within the past few months search results don't correctly indicate the topic (recipe, etc) or go directly to page. It works on iPad, but not Samsung G3 or G5.

After the last fix, you can't search articles anymore. This is a major hindrance to looking up recipes
I can now actually load issues and read them on my Nexus 7 (2012). A great feature would be active links in the issues - for the table of contents, links to web pages in article and ads, etc - but it's great to finally have access to all the old issues.
Recent updates have fixed the crashes I was seeing, but pressing the search key on my keyboard doesn't seem to do anything.
Would love to have search work. On the iPad version it is awesome. Just picked up a nexus 9 running 5.0.2 and can't seem to search. Nothing happens when I got the search key except only showing the most recent page of magazines. Lame
So far so good. Reloaded with 1.6 and it now works with Android 4.4.4.
Program is usable now. Great work devs.
It still need work. The layout isn't that great. Thanks for fixing it. App icon is an eyesore
So I like the fact I can read Zymurgy anywhere, and we all know with today's ever so gotta go lifeatyle. Being portable is great! However... It would be nice to switch to another operation without having to figure out where you left off by swiping 56 pages. If you had an option to close program, this would fix this issue, and or close this month's issue to pick another.
Have been unable to do any searches. Just sets there and blinks.
I had to delete and reinstall but now it is working. Delete and reinstall to get this working again.
All fixed with recent update.
It works!
I had to uninstall the previous version, restart my tablet then install the new version. However, it is working for me now.

I like the app BUT I would like it to store the downloads on SD card. My space is limited for storage. On the Samsung Galaxy S5 the Zymurgy app does not give the option to move it to the SD Card.
