HTML Source Code Viewer for Android
The app can work like a single-tab browser, but when you browse and slide to the source-code tab, it doesn't show the source code of the current page (which it should) but instead the source code of the original page (the page that you type the URL). With that function, this app would be perfect for 5 stars
View source for resources on tap rather than open in browser. Illogical otherwise. Most resources aren't likely to be suitable for viewing in browser and... It's a source viewing app... So.. unless I missed something...? (Seriously, did I?)
If im viewing source for a site, its not easy to go back and change site. Change source should be in the header of the app or click a button or something.
The app is ad free and it serves exactly what you need for to view in a webpage. There is a search button is very useful as well as the codes appear with a numbering system and colours just like modern browser "view source" . I am happy with it. Full marks. Thank u developer(s) .
Preview shows me the page but the source shows a page not found source. Waste of 10 minutes of my life i will never get back
Someone cannot copy the source code, please do that so I will be able to copy the source code for any site I input, then I will give you 5star music
On the first URL I tried put in, it wouldn't give me any source code and instead gave me an error message stating that I appeared to be a bot. I'll have to find another app for source code.
I think far too much but the Droid is oid made in the likeness of Dio. Radio Ra Radium Ra 88 HH Hate Hate
There was no code shown. Obviously the site contains code! Useless, does nothing!
Looking for an app like this. It's fast and very useful, but there should be an option to save the resources js and css files to the device. And also to copy the html code to paste it for later use.
It can't format anything, it just gives you a dump of text source code. I need an app that will help me debug my website because it is doing something different in mobile than it does on desktop so I can't debug on desktop. And it retrieves desktop version on website instead of mobile version. Should have an option to get both like most browsers do.
But does some stupid things and has some glaring omissions. IE zooms in stupidly when you want to select text or code so you cannot orient your page view. Is good for viewing only and very limited. UPDATE : Some apologies for my previous review I realise now this is only a viewer and NOT an editor
Works great, Ive seen no flaws, and is worth 5 star. But I have not found a way to easily copy or select portions of the code, which is why I needed this app. I hope it will be added in the future
The selection of the code is very heavy. Add also a way to save the viewed code and the page.
I have created a html viewer like this. And because of one thing, correctly no response of code to site POST and GET actions. So I cant access something without login, but I cant login on the code. Because of no sync of code and site I must have searched apps. This is totally the same thing...
I would like to be able to select and copy text from all text. Right now it dosen't work. Using a samsung galaxy S6
Failed to view https encrypted page with invalid cert. This was my use case, so for me not usable. Uninstalling. Why there is np option to allow this? Found out that android chrome supports view-source:URL.
If im viewing source for a site, its not easy to go back and change site. Change source should be in the header of the app or click a button or something.
I either retrieve forbidden text (from publicly accessible pages) or it crashes.
Preview shows me the page but the source shows a page not found source. Waste of 10 minutes of my life i will never get back
Bad functions. I cant copy from the viewer. I need to copy video urls
Nothing but good things to say about this app. It does one thing and does it well.
Apparently localhost is not a valid URL. Does something wonky to the URL... I have a page that previews okay, but the source is for a 404 page. Crashes a lot.
Shows all source including source of scripts. However you can't copy the code or save it.
Now this is cool, i know its a source viewer but how about inspecting elements and seeing how the page looks across diff mobile devices??? That'll be great too. I'ld love that functionality on this app.
Crashes sometimes.
Starts to process the page and then just freezes and becomes unresponsive...
Zooms in on code so you can't read it. Very slow. Can't navigate around. Sorry, very poor app.
Use the word of the day off tomorrow and you can do that to me a pic of you and your family members,
Its nice that it shows complete code, but do give option to COPY the code texts, so that we can try them all one by one, else nice work!
Generally, this *seems* like a nicely designed utility, with decent aesthetics, etc. But it is actually too minimalistic, as it lacks basic functionality such as the ability to select and copy text from the code view.
I can view source in chrome mobile by prefixing a URL with view-source: , so I don't need an app to do that. What I need is the ability to search by xpath and CSS selectors - which for some reason chrome mobile doesn't have. And neither does any android app, including this one. Which just boggles the mind. Also, could use a UX refresh.
Its a great app but One improvement would be to allow the app code to stay loaded when you switch between apps cause if is very annoying when you have to rewait and rescroll back through code when you have to switch apps especially when it's thousands of lines of code.If you fix this you get 5 stars
Works great, Ive seen no flaws, and is worth 5 star. But I have not found a way to easily copy or select portions of the code, which is why I needed this app. I hope it will be added in the future
Does not support HTTPS. LoL!!!! HTML Viewer by Yogev I way more useful and support http / HTTPS / web view capabilities

I have a wordpress site and this app will only show the log in page. After i log in from previw tap and then refresh the source tab still shows login page while preview loads backend page... this bug should be fixed
Because, it can also have uploading feature. Which is not there.
It is exactly what I need but it could use an actual browser

Very pleased and works great. I specifically like that it needs no special permissions. Now the suggestion. In my profession I sometimes look at the rendered page and then the code. While I don't expect a working browser, it would be nice for the APP to remember the code in my last view so if I bounce from browser or preview within the APP back to source it doesn't refresh the code each time.
