Huge improvement from before. My cameras used to only record 5 frames of an event, but now they record 10 seconds of video, which was a pleasant surprise. For those of you having issues, make sure you update the firmware for each camera and also try restarting your phone. Everything has been working great on my Galaxy S6.

Cameras worked good until recent update. Can not connect remotely and no live view or control of cameras. If you are looking at buying these I would continue to check the reviews here and their Facebook page to see if they get it together and fix their issues first. Att the moment I would say but something else or I'll sell you mine.

Functionality with the cameras and basic app are great. But........that's were it ends. After a app update, my indoor camera no longer detects motion and saves pictures of that motion. Basically rendered my indoor camera useless. I'd love a refund since the whole reason I bought the camera no longer functions, but it still can be viewed live through the app. And to top it off, when I tried to email support, I never received a response or even an acknowledgement. Save your money and buy cameras with better support!

I added 2 more cameras to my house. The first 2 worked great, but now I don't get alerts on any of them. Sometimes I look at events and there's a motion alert that I never knew about but when I try to play the video, it's blank. I've changed my mode settings about 50 times to try fixing it. Still doesn't alert me :( I'm very unhappy!! What's the point of it if I don't get alerts????!!!!

It worked great before the update. After the update the camera foes not work as soon as I am not on the same wifi as the camera. It will not work on my cellphone data plan. Please fix whatever you changed and rollback to the old app. There was nothing wrong with the old app and it worked perfectly. I almost bought more cameras to expand the family but I think I will buy the Amazon Canary now

I guess I'll have to junk this system. I did the update and now all my cams try to load but say establishing secure video channel then goes to connection timed out and never pulls up a video feed. My recommendation for future customers is go to a different company. Total waste of money. I can not reach anyone from customer support. Looks like a shady outfit.

This is light years ahead of that crappy Funlux app or Meshare! So far so good! Full 10 seconds of video for each alert, free 30 day cloud trial, low cost monthly subscription options available! The others no longer have any cloud services. My cameras are useful again!

I have this app on my android phone and it worked great until last night. Now I can't see a thing remotely. I have ZSight loaded on my ipad and its working fine but I dont have that with me all the time. The update needs an update. 8/23/17 Installed update. Now only able to see 1 camera out of 8 now . Will NOT be installing update on my tablet. Need to be able to view all cameras.

I have a 8 camera set up, before the update I received push notifications which is why I purchased the cameras In the first place, however after the upgrade I had to delete the old app reinstall the new app and now will have to subscribe to cloud services of 10 dollar month or 100 dollars a year for one camera for one camera. I have 8 cameras so do the math if I have to subscribe all 8 that's $80 a month or $800 a year . This is not fair even the $5 plan would be $40 a month for 8 and nearly $500 a year. This is unreasonable.

Worked great until the update. Would have given this app 5 stars but the app update ruined it. I can't view all my cameras. Switched to Zsight app. Let's me see the cameras but this app worked better before the update. Hopefully a fix soon so I can switch back. If no fix, I'm switching camera system. What's the point of having cameras and not able to view them!?!?!

Don't update!!! Bought these cameras after our house was broken into, had glitches but was a good security system. Updated today and now it's one thing after the next. What is the point of alerts if either I don't get them or it says no clip available for that time. It's practically worthless now for security if I'm not watching all the cameras live, all the time.

DO NOT UPDATE!! The new update is horrible. I cannot view half my cameras and the alerts are not viewable. Why you push out an update that wasn't ready Zmodo? Fix this now!!! Update. The alerts are finally working. However the night modes no longer work properly. The settings will not correct this issues as Zmodo support said they would. Some of my cameras are constantly switching between the two modes. I'm worried that this is going to damage my cameras. FIX THIS ZMODO!!!

After update one camera works. I had to remove, reset, and re-add. However, the motion and sound detection isn't working. So it is basically useless. The other camera said failed firmware update and now I think it is toast. I was thinking of getting several more, now I am starting to think these are junk. If it isn't fixed soon there is $80 down the drain.

Firmware updates to the cameras just hang in mid-update. App sends me alerts, but nothing in the alerts section so I can't see the actual alert. Main screen shows the generic images, not any snapshots from my cameras. Also, 3 of my cameras have spotty performance at best, in spite of the 12000ft range of my wifi extender. Really disappointed in the entire system.

I bought these cameras for my home and if this is the only app I can use I'm screwed!!!! It's terrible my cameras won't load 80% of the time and when they do they take FOREVER!!!! trying to watch any playback is damn near impossible it just sick bad. It's only good for watching live feed and that's if it'll work right to do so Idk why I even have them hopefully there's another way to use them

Horrible horrible horrible and useless update. How long will this useless update take to get fixed? How many complaints does it take to get it right??? The previous application before was excellent thumbs-up up. This new update now has me searching to spend unnecessary time & possibly money for other competitors camera and application. Once again. Worthless update as of 8/17/17!!!

Zmodo SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Didn't think it could get any worse but zmodo suprised me again. A 10yr could do better than these guys. They have no clue! Nothing ever works! After last update and new firmware, night vision is now about 25% of what it was. It sucks so bad now! Video quality is worse too. Not sure why on that one. Customer support is bad as I've ever seen. They obviously have no clue because every update makes it worse. Here is an idea, try testing updates before you release them! Wish I could go back to old update, at least it worked occasionally. I would give ZERO rating if I could. Absolute junk!!!!!!!!!!

This update is one giant step backwards for the product. There is really nothing I can find about it that is better and in fact it is nearly non functional by comparison to the previous version. Lots of wait times and wheelie-dealie circles indicating it is not connecting. The camera views are even distorted now. Time out errors. Non connection errors. No notification when a motion or doorbell activation occur many times. Can't stop the doorbell ring when it starts! The UI is much more cluttered in appaerance Summary - One giant step backwards.

Zmodo has made everyones products useless after the failed update. My cameras time out non stop since updating the app. now my home is left without the added security it once had and Zmodo isnt concerned in the least. COMPLETE FAILURE OF AN UPDATE

Not really happy with the system or app at all. It continues to show pictures on the main screen from a week ago, I changed the detection settings and it doesn't matter I still get what I got before. The update to the app doesn't change that the system itself isn't as good as I thought it would be. Very disappointed.

Worked for a few months but then it showed my cameras offline even though my router signal is very strong. I've reset both of them multiple times but but haven't had any luck getting the cameras back up and running. After reading other reviews, it doesn't seem like the company is trying to fix the problem.

The latest update has moved this app/service from a 1 star (mostly worthless, extremely unreliable) to a 4 star. Motion detection is now to a standard expected from higher priced professional surveillance systems, motion detection recording is no longer 5 still photos captured after motion but is recorded video starting BEFORE motion detection, and the graphical interface is more user friendly. Reliability will still take time to build and response time, both for notifications and navigating in the app, can still be improved. Overall good job on the update, I won't nag that you should of coded it correctly months ago, I swear. Good job, now keep it up.

It is function. Keyboard repeats characters when trying to label items. Suppose to be able to screen capture on main pictures, it sometimes works other times not so. Which makes it impossible to set area to check for movement. But basic functions work fine.

The app works relatively well for watching my camera from elsewhere. I can't get the pictures and videos to download to my phone though and the customer service within the app is shoddy at best. I can't hardly get anyone to respond to my inquiries and the one person that responded have a response that was not useful.

It worked just fine before the latest update. Now, only one camera of eight shows up. Customer support is useless. Judging by the number of bad reviews I'm thinking it may be "class action" time.

Update sucks! I can't even review my alerts anymore. As if Zmodo hasn't given me enough headache as it is! Now you want me to pay just to see a freakin alert!? This is ridiculous!

Upgraded the app a few days ago, and now takes forever to load any alert video. Used to be with the old app, I could just touch it and it would give me five frames which was enough. Now it seems to be slower and as many other reviews there are other issues. I don't need cloud service, but it seems to be they're forcing you to go that way. I think the price is too expensive per camera. I am less happy with the app now that they have changed, then I was before with the old app. The new is also not detecting two cameras. They were working fine before

The new app update works well for me. The alerts are still spotty but has improved. The firmware update to the cams has made my outdoor night vision way too dark. Is anyone else having the same problem? Their fix is exchanging them for new ones. I hav 6 of them. Sucks!

App is not opening up at all, when it does open is when yiu receive an alert that you can't even view. When alerts are received all you can see is the loading sign as nothing else appears. If you try and look at the cameras it says the signal need to be established and that it's timed out until like the third time.

With this recent update I get False notifications constantly, my cameras turn themselves off and won't turn themselves back on, and I have the inability to schedule when the alarm is on versus off. Awful awful awful. Prior to this update, everything worked beautifully

It works well until after the update. No alerts receiving from app. The time setting is wrong and I can never fix it. It is always 5 hrs different. I called customer service. They suggested to reset zmodo and re-install the app only. I try it 2 times, but the problem remain. After sale support is useless. If you have any questions, you are on your own.

Can't view all my cameras which is the whole purpose of the app. As everyone else is saying, since they updated, they app is almost useless. It only lets me see one camera, no alerts, lags often for the one camera I can see. Horrible, just horrible.

Update is still terrible. Still only able to see 1 camera rather than sometimes seeing all cameras. I think zmodo and zsight are terrible products. I would advise returning your funlux cameras and getting a refund.

Zmodo your app let us down. When away did not provide us with live feed or alerts. Useless. If you are going to tell us we had settings wrong don't bother. Could not even get app to open. Thought it was bad internet connection. But when in better area for internet it still would not open. Will be looking for more reliable and intuitive system.

This is update is awful! Very hard to use. Freezes constantly. Before the update, the app was great. If I had not already put money into cameras, I would delete the app and go with a different company. Please fix this!!!

Not impressed with this update either. Now the live view always times out. Events usually load from wherever that is, Korea? Japan? China? STILL Regret buying this but lucky I only bought one I suppose after reading some other reviews. Geeze

Ever since the upgrade of last month non of my cameras work anymore. Even when I try and reinitialize the cameras it failed every time. It this point I can not recommend the system or the company.

With the newest update I can't even establish a connection to the camera.....It's saying "Connection timed out"....before it used to connect perfectly.... How do I take back my previous 1 star rating..... I want to give it 0 stars.... useless app....uninstalling it...

Update was nice since it stopped the app from running all the time. However, the app does not work like it used to. I now want to get another system because it's not reliable as a viewer anymore. Since I added cameras to my set up the app can't seem to handle 7 camera channels.

The old version was great. After the update, my 6 indoor cameras constantly lose connection to the network, reset and can't be controlled a lot of the time. Night vision clicks on and off for several minutes under any setting at dusk and dawn and cameras freeze while trying to control them and then say they are offline. I never had any issues before for over a year. There are more features in the new app but my cameras work half the time. I hope they fix the bugs so I can use my cameras again.
