Despite paying £40 for the wifi plug they are barely supporting this application after a year. The email confirmation service required to register or reset your password doesn't work and is unlikely to be fixed. The scheduling has never worked properly. Avoid.

Awful. If you have just bought this and are following the instructions to set it up and are now downloading this app, quick, pack it up and return it and get a refund. There are so many things wrong with this app and they are all covered by other reviewers. I had an earlier version of their wifi plug from a years ago, and it looked from their website that they had greatly improved it, so I gave them a second go and it's possibly worse than the first version. The app is unreliable and awful to use, the wifi plug often drops connection, you have to email them to register it on your own wifi network...what is that about. I have nothing positive to say about this app or the hardware that it is designed for.

What a surprise!! It's down again!

Does not finish the process and does not save the device. Android ver. 5.1.1 No communication. Neither with the plug nor with the company.i have a useless plug

Trying to add plugs is failing with error "device has not been recorded in server". Why not!?

This app is terrible. It needs an overhaul. Unfortunately it's necessary for the WiFi plugs. It's the one reason I haven't bought any more plugs :-( This app is the only way to switch devices on and you need to log into the cloud service even if you are on the same LAN as the devices. Their servers keep having issues and you can't login meaning you can't control the devices because of their service rather than you or the devices. Takes hours to resolve as well meaning the reason you get the plugs goes right out of the window. Awful.

Bought 2 plugs but can't even use them as the app doesn't even let me register. When you download the app you are requested to register by entering your e-mail address. It says "verify code has been send" (not even written in good English) but after applying 10 times there is STILL no code. Absolutely useless! Will be returning!

by far the worst app I have ever installed. Nothing works as it should. If you are reading this before a purchase then don't bother, its a neat idea and I really wanted it to work but app needs a LOT of work.

Works for me, was quite buggy but much better now. Like concept. Awaiting options to 'extend' and 'advance' to use as a heating controller! Soon I hope?

Can't even get it set up an account..this app is poor and just doesn't work.. Really not worth the effort even for a gimmick. Sadly I can't give it zero stars

Really bad interface no clue what outboud rules this gui requires from the instructions didnt sync after numerous attempts no confidence in the product will be returning

Very problematic on a nexus 5 and 7 - seek another product if you have those. Great when it works but feels unfinished - fiddly to set up, plugs occasionally fail and need re-setting up, app full of typos. Hope issues will be fixed soon.

Bought a wifi plug, set up very easy worked perfectly. Recommended! Buy the plug at wifiplug.Co.Uk few bugs in the app but nothing massively wrong

Very frustrating to set-up, not least because does not work as advertised. Device, app and documentation feels cheap. Returned for refund.

Nexus 5. For me, when I return to the app my WiFi plug doesn't show until I back out of the app and then log in again. So it seems to lose connection if left running in the background. Once I can see the device it works fine. Would be great to get some on/of widgets for the home screen. Really good tech support from the company though when you have problems.

After a bad start with the app not ready when the plugs were shipped everything now seems to be working. I had preordered the plug on the with the understanding that multiple timers and geofencing would be included from the start but that doesn't appear to be the case. Hopefully I won't have to wait to long into 2014 to have these functionalities included!

After some stumbling blocks with infrastructure being unavailable and some other teething issues with configuring each of my plugs, I'm happy to report that I can now switch my appliances/NAS devices on and off remotely and won't have to pester my wife to do it for me while I'm at work any more! :) As to my issues with configuring the plugs, the updated app (v1.2) solved most issues but my phone did still cause the automated configuration some grief as I have 'Line' (IM) installed as well and that seemed to cause the auto configuration to fail when switching between wireless profiles. Force Line to close so it no longer monitors (and complains) about lack of internet connectivity and I was able to set up 4 plugs in as many minutes. Thanks guys!

It's fair to say that this app had a difficult weekend but, fair play to the team behind Wifiplug2. They kept in touch with me, the customer, and got past some issues. I can now sit in the comfort of my lounge and control the over-zealous Christmas lights outside without having to go in the cold garage!

These guys need to get cut some slack, they instantly respond to queries. I bought a belkin and when that stopped working for 5 days not one person from belkin spoke to me after 5 emails to then. Wifiplug have been answering me straight away. I think the feedback is a bit unsupportive. Well done guys keep up the good work
