This used to be great but Android nougat has ruined it

Cannot find current location. Requires manual typing of location in user unfriendly fashion

It seems to have broken with Android 7, but I can't find another that does everything it does.

Good app. But only problem is to need some update, that date and upcoming festival or event change outomatically every day.

I like the app. For some reason it doesn't work on galaxy S7 edge. The widget is there, but text doesn't show correctly when I tap the icon. I blame this on the phone, but would like some help getting that fixed.

E70%
by E####:

This is the best hebrew calendar out there. It is the only one that I have found that works correctly. By that I mean that the date changes at sunset which is what the jewish calendar goes by (Lunar Calendar). The app is perfect in my opinion.

M70%
by M####:

For whatever reason the widget doesn't display the information properly when clicking in the widget to bring up the menu (the menu that gives you options to select the parsha or calendar). I am using galaxy S8 and not sure if the phone settings are making the text all go to one side...making it unreadable. This is English text not Hebrew. Please fix UPDATE: giving 5 stars. The issue was with the phones font size display. I increased the size and it shows correctly now.

I'm glad I installed it. Small and unobtrusive, just doing what it needs to do. Thank you!

please take it off. a calend ar app does not need phone state and identity! once you do that I will give you 5 stars.

I used it for years. But this old school design is bothering me. This widget was great for low definition display but in 2016 it looks ugly. I had never understand what actually changed after couple of updates

Please give us a 1x2 option with the date and the parsha, but without the persistent reminder of how far away we are from the next holiday. The 1x1 option does not provide enough information, and the 1x3 option is too wide. I would love to give this widget a five star rating, but I am annoyed by the fact that I have to be reminded every day for the next seven weeks about erev Rosh Hashana. (A different Google User) I sent this as an email to the developer's address at least ten days ago (don't know how it got into the ratings), and haven't had a response. Helloooo! Are you out there?

X70%

Probably because it constantly tries to get GPS location instead of estimated location. Don't know why it needs to be that precise though.

Love this app, but since my phone upgraded to kitkat it had some problems. Now it is working again. Thank you for such a great and useful application.

X70%

I love the simplicity and all the little features it has. It is especially nice that it lists upcoming holidays and all the important times of day (ie sunrise, sunset, candle lighting, main prayer times, etc.).

I've used it for years but now it appears I must have one of the devices on which it doesn't work (Nexus 5 Lollipop?) The widget only gives directions but doesn't display as it used to. I would love to have it back again!

This used to be real good for me? It worked well on my old S1 but now the sunset time isn't working..! The Location isn't picking up to.. manual or automatic. It's a good app, but messing up now.

I have been using this for several years, but recently the clock settings are not correct - the zmanim are reading 7 hours offset from the real time, as if I'm still in the US, trying to figure out what time it is in Israel.

It is a handy way to see current date and upcoming events and candle lighting... All on the home screen, without opening an app. It also provides pretty ready acres to s list of upcoming yomim tovim, daf, and Zmanim fit the day. However, the Zmanim ate listed in random order (sof Zman tfila after chatzos?!), and the widget is very bulky with no adjustment possible. HebDate is better overall than HebCal, but I still use HebCal as well for home screen and quick access to the info mentioned above.

I use this all the time to quickly see the Hebrew date and check praying / shabbat candle-lighting time. We use this on trips around the world. Finds our location via GPS when needed. Times are accurate. Definitely recommended.

Useful application, but something wrong with power consumption. On my Nexus 5 with ART engine activated it consumes two times more then a screen.

Put Israeli Holidays on it and I will add that fifth star
