Lumafit is an interactive fitness coach designed to get you fit.
The system combines a sleekly designed ear worn sensor together with our coaching app designed for android smartphones and tablets.
The Lumafit program takes you through the same steps as a real personal trainer.
The first step is a fitness assessment to gauge your baseline fitness. Lumafit then recommends the schedule and type of workouts that work for you. I can't really tell if the awfulness of the experience with lumafit comes from how bad the hardware is (doubt it), how bad this software is, or how bad my phone handles bluetooth connection. But if nothing else, this is a perfect example of a company shooting themselves in the foot by developing a walled garden for their earclip, making it effectively a pile of steaming garbage. The clip was supposed to be a standard health monitoring device to be used with every android app that wants it. Instead, it will surely be smashed against the wall next time when their software simply stops counting, or keeps reporting "bad form" (f%$king mountain climbers...), or REFUSES TO FREAKING PAUSE THE WORKOUT IF IT CANNOT FIND THE DATA NETWORK.

At the last part (sprint part0, the device somehow could not detect and keep track for me. Is there a bug ? Anyone encounter the same issue.

I use Lumafit alongside Runkeeper and the stats couldn't be more apart. I've just finished a 8 km run at a pace of 4:55 per km and Lumafit tels me that I've burned 11 calories... Seriously... Lumafit is a disappointment, it is far from what they've promoted in their indigogo campaign

Havent been able to pair the sensor. Pairs with the phone but app wont pick up. No response from support either

Other than the odd over the ear wearing everything seems to be great. I am a beginner and love the fact that I can design my own small workout session, that gives me a push to go for it.

I really love the concept of the sensor and app combo. The problem is it seems that the heart rate monitor doesn't calculate properly at all times. I watched my HR jump from 87 to 170 back and forth a couple times during my workout. Once the accuracy improves I will happily adjust my review.

The app is actually pretty good on Android apart from a few design tweaks needed scaling etc (looks too big on HD screen in settings) could do with refinements here and there but I'm sure the good people at Lumafit will update this in due course!

Fitness Assessment makes you do Jumping Jacks Twice and then Crashes. For an App that was supposed to be finalised and tested.. This is horrendous...
