TxtArchive SMS Backup

Used to work well but lately has had problems. Can't export individual conversations and missing messages in exported files.

Works ok. They disabled ability to delete specific txt after archived. Also archives messages not sent or drafts

So, I archived to email, but never received the email. Changed email address. Ditto. Archived to Simm card. How do I get the data??? No instructions on app. UPDATE the developer emailed me immediately and we worked through the issues. However at the end of the day, while the information is exported it is a very rudimentary text format.

Worked great! Wouldnt update phone bc would delete texts. Custody problems. Was able to save txts and time stamps and update phone! Awesome!

Countless attempts have been made to contact a representative to resolve an issue pertaining to the forwarding of the archived data to my email. To date, I have yet to receive a courtesy call back to address the matter.

I have had this app for years. It will no longer export my text to email.

It does not show all the conversation in the text Half the texts are missing Don't buy. I want my money back

Hooray they fixed it! I can now save my text messages just the way I always wanted. THANK YOU!!

Just tried to restore from SD card backup did not work, when I changed phone, did not work totally worthless, Do not buy!!!

I needed to keep track of my son's fathers craziness for court, this app is more than I needed.. love it!

This is an awesome app for sending your texts to email for court. It is very easy. In less than 5 minutes, 1100 texts were sent to my email inbox

ZillCE responded to my problem of date/time archives being out of order on my Droid X. They created update v2.2.1 which solved my problem. Great app.

But ever since going to JB it crashes, it opens fine but once I click archive it blows up... PLEASE FIX!

Terrible app... I used it to back up ny texts because I had to reset my phone and not one of them were in my archive when I went back into it...... Do not waste your money on the paid version it's crap!!

Easy to use. Sends organized text data to an email account for review or archive. That's what works for me.

Allows you to keep your text messages in a safe database on your phone so that you can clear out your text inbox. Also allows you to easily send your texts to your email. The email keeps them in date and time order. You can transfer the texts for one individual contact or do them all at once. Excellent option when you have to keep documentation of text messages! I've used this app a long time, simple easy to use and easily transfer file to my computer. Thumbs up and just fixed so I could add to my new phone. :)

Apparently the developer gave up on trying to keep this app working. Don't buy it.

Apparently no one is even monitoring this app anymore. Crashes every time I open it and simply choose "inbox." The app is not functional.

Its a life saver. Man I got relief when I able to save my x text. Thanks alot for this app.

If you're in a legal situation such as divorce, custody, child support, harassment, etc, and you need evidence to help your case with courts or with police. Then this app is for you. User friendly on my Galaxy Note.

Hi, This app, does some of what I expected however honestly I'm disappointed, a true archiving application should have options such as "Archive Everything over X days old" or "Keep last X messages" however this application is an all or nothing approach. Meaning you can archive everything or nothing, there's no ability to archive selected contacts. Incredibly the application doesn't appear to delete the messages from your SMS Inbox once you've archived them (I can't be certain as I've not run it through to the end as I don't want 13,500 text messages to disappear). I'll give you my scenario then you can understand, I have 13,500 text messages, that I'd like to keep, but it's seriously slowing my phone down, what I'd like to do is keep recent ones on the phone and then archive everything over say 90 days so the phone isn't reduced to a crawl. To make this a proper archiving app you need to do the following: 1. Allow Archiving of selected contacts - Surely an easy first step and delete the messages when archived 2. Archiving filters as above (over 90 days, etc) Hopefully these features are coming in a future release! Cheers

I wish I would have found this app 24 hours ago... i would have saved myself much frustration trying to figure out a way to easily save and email texts msgs to myself. I'm a veterinarian and have a new smart phone (LG Mytouch Slide) and have been communicating with clients by text msgs. I need to keep record of conversation for legal reasons and to keep chart up today, there was NO way to do it on my phone... even called Tmobile for info, they said msgs could not be printed out... tried copy/pasting msgs, but had to do one at a time and some msgs in a thread would not copy... in desperation i searched the android market and found this app. Just downloaded and installed and tested it out..... AMAZING!!!! All my msg threads from the past month were automatically in my inbox, easily archived and emailed to myself.... WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Tried LOTS of SMS archive apps this one is the BEST, even has a time fix in options. Super simple and accurate times on incoming SMS! Big fan of app!

I think as long as you understand what this program is and what it does ~ you will be very happy with it! It's not meant for backing up and importing your texts when you are updating your phone, etc. It is meant to strictly archive / send you a copy (or store on SD card) messages you need to save for whatever reason. It does an excellent and tidy job of doing just what it says it will - I am very happy with it. No I don't work for the dev LOL but Ive seen some if the confusion about what this program is for

This app is the whole reason I got a smartphone. For those of us who need to save texts as part of a client or customer file, this is perfect. It's so easy to use. It archives your texts to a .txt file that you can email to yourself or save to your phone's memory card. When you access it on your computer, just select the whole document, copy, and paste into Word, and voila! Your texts are saved by contact and then by date! No more transcribing your texts! I love this app!

Works like it says. Will send a copy to your email then you can print! Even has time and date stamp on every message! Wish it worked for blackberry!

This is by far my favorite app! Is there anyway to archive the bigger messages that come in as a picture message that you have to download? That would be awesome!

For a paid app, I would expect to see a scheduler, and options for how many SMS are backed up. This app is too simple for a paid app. At least advertise some intents for Apps like Tasker to schedule auto-archive handled by this App. A little disappointed, but it's a great start.

Are you guys going to add a feature so people can backup directly to drop box?
