Man! Bought the Smooth Q to use with my S7 edge Android. Where are all the nice features that come with the IOS version?! Please update this app for Android so I don't have to return this nice gimbal. Plus fix many of the features that currently do not work great, like the following/tracking mode and add the 4k video option. This is one of the main reasons I purchased this unit. Three stars in hopes they will update the app.

I just purchased a smooth 3. I did extensive research but obviously not enough. The device hasn't arrived yet but there is no 4k support? You don't understand the importance of this even if you don't upload the final video many will record in 4k then downsample to ensure the very best quality. Think about it this your flagship professional model and it doesn't support the highest resolution.

Only thing good from the app is the ability for fine tuning and control the smooth Q gimbal with 2nd phone/tablet. Missing the time lapse feature from android app is a big negative. Camera in app does not work when recording with Sony XZs. Right now I only use the gimbal and my phone camera. Could have been something awesome.

Using galaxy s7 edge. I'm having issues with real time battery display, shows 100% but blue light flashing shows battery around 25%. Bluetooth connection shows device connected however can't always pair or won't find device. Camera app needs alot of work to get 5 stars. On a positive note, the smooth q device works great with little practice, though it would be nice if it was water resistant and if you could charge your phone while in landscape mode.

Im using lg g6, there's no crash so far, but there are few quirks: *Focus tag mode doesn't really work all that well, it somehow tag invisible things and follow it around or just stay still. *More features such as in iphone, it is much more feature packed. *Battery doesn't change at all, its already been 3 days, but still 100%. *Calibration is quite confusing and tutorial is all in chinese. So yeah. Hopefully there will be further improvement as the gimbal is really good for its price.

Doesn't work properly, zoom button doesn't work and record button won't work either after connected to Bluetooth. Tracking also doesn't work and sometimes crashed out of the application. Was hoping to have these features to work with the Android 7 but failed to do so. All the features that worked with IOS doesn't work with Android. Gimbal is awesome even without this broken app.

Like others have said, I bought this gimbal in hopes of having the option for motion time lapse. I am very disappointed that the iOS version gets the features I need. Really anticipating an update here to add the features everyone wants.

1. No 4K video support, 2.Bad BY connection, 3. No time-lapse feature, 4. No panarama feature, 5. Object tracking feature is crashing, 6. A lot of bugs using calibration features and more. Please, fix all problems with the application, try to improve it and make much better. All users will say you THANKS.

The Q is a great gimbal at an unbeatable price. This app for Android really needs attention to bring it up to the iphone version The gimbal can be used with filmic pro or open camera or even the android native camera software. The only time i use this is to change settings and calibration. I hope that Zhiyun updates this soon but do not let that stop you from getting this great piece of kit.

Tracking keeps crashing the camera app & Bluetooth drops off. Not really usable at this stage. Camera in video seems to drop frame. I get better results with default or open camera but neither have gimbal features

Apps lacks in many, sometime got problem esp the bluetooth connection on off, slow movement tracking and many. Yet confusing with zhiyun play & zhiyun assistant. Why not combine both? - redmi note 4 user.

This app really is bad. It sucks. I have tried 3 different phone and it doesn't work in any if them. Pure trash. Gimbal is almost useless without it. Going back to the store to bay a different gimbal.

Installed this on huawei p9 and it works like a charm with my new rider.m. I particularly appreciate the ability to fine tune dead zones, angular speeds etc. No dumbing down here! Thats essential stuff for pro work and thats why I chose zhiyun. I'd give it 5 stars if it had the ability to create and maybe even record movements. With this ability this little gizmos potential would be truly staggering.

This app is useless for the most part. The iOS counterpart is superior to the Android version which makes no sense! I have thd gimbal M which works with small camera, gopro, and smartphone. App does not support face track which is a problem for smartphone use! Please make this app match its iOS counterpart!

Will not pair with my Zhiyun crane gimball. Way to invasive for required permissions. It wants to access all file and control calls from my phone before it can be used. Great hardware. Worst app I've used.

Bought the smooth q after watching all the videos and it turns out this app has no features, and the features it does have don't work properly. There is no panoramic mode, no slow timelapse, the recorder doesn't always record when you press the record button, the video has horrible frame rate issues, face/object tracking has a mind of it's own and the actual app itself which shows the battery level is always at 100%... I've used the gimbal for 4 hours, I'm pretty sure the battery isn't at 100%. Real let down

This app still needs a lot of work. I wish there's a landscape mode when in default screen or when changing the settings. Currently, the only thing that i use this app for is to fine tune gimbal rotation settings. Talking about the camera, I just use the default phone camera (S8) which has far better manual settings and supports higher video quality.

Just recently buying smooth q, believe it or not, the app from the apple produxt is super much better than android. I hope developer will bring the fuction as soon as possible. Androis user please hold on buying Zhiyun Gimbal. The app in android kind of lousy

This will not open. Very poor for a purchased product support app. Tried downloading it numerous places.. none of them open or work. Little bit dodgy. Time to take my product back

Terrible in comparison to the iOS "ZY Play" app for Apple. Not only is it missing features like time lapse and panorama, the app doesn't even take advantage of Samsung's Galaxy S7 4k capabilities. Where's the android support?

**ZY Play for ios only, but not with android?? Why? Just bought the smooth Q, run with this assistant app always crashed. Disappointed!!!! ***I really wonder if the manufacturer read these comments at all, no response ever even people are rating here!

Absolute junk! The hardware is great and good value as well, but the app lets it down severely with crashes galore! It looks like another instance where the iOS app is given priority while the Android version is unstable and lacking functionality.

Bought this to use with my Note 5 and it's a shame to see that many of the features such as the time lapse that is on the iOS app is not on the Android app. Please Zhiyun if you're reading this please update so both apps are on par with each other. Also not being able to film in 4k is quite a downer also. I'm trusting Zhiyun will read this and take into consideration the other reviews stating the same thing

PLEASE...PLEASE update this Android app with all of the feathers of new Zhiyun 4K videoing IOS Apple app (why don't you?) The very poor Android version app maximum video resolution is only 1080p! There is also better tracking and more feathers on the new IOS version app which are sadly missing on Android app. I have just bought a Smooth-Q and I'm now thinking of taking it back because of this very poor Android app. UPDATE THIS APP TO THE NEW IOS VERSION AND YOU WILL SELL MORE GURU STABILIZERS!

This app still needs a lot of work to improve. Please align the features and functionalities with iOS. The following are a list of improvements: 1. Auto connect to gimbal when the bluetooth is on 2. Fix the camera mode crashing when selecting an object to follow 3. No time-lapse 4. Please allow other camera apps to use the bluetooth to take photo and video.

Bluetooth does not conntect properly App works in moto g3 but crashes in micromax yureka. No timelapse feature. Poor tracking feature

I'm really confused why there are so many absolutely awful reviews of this software. I I was pretty nervous when I installed it because these awful reviews. My experience has been pretty good. It's not a perfect software but it does allow me to control the gimbal much better than without. Overall I'm very satisfied with this stabilizer and the software. I wish I could use the native camera to shoot but that's a small issue.

The apps is undercooked! Not even half better than iOS version. 1. Apps regularly not working well. Follow pan mode is just not that good. 2. Android app version using step zoom. iOS version is more smooth zoom. Pleaseeeeee fix this! 3. No time lapse option on android version. Really..? 4. Stabilisation is that as good as iOS version too! Safe to say, all the nice thing we saw on YouTube's review are just coming for iOS phones. For us, half baked, border line working apps. Get a grip dev team! Please fix this. Like right now!

Android ZTE zMAX phone useless the app doesn't even open it crashes each and every time I'm so disappointed I really want to use this thing... I recently returned a mavic pro-drone because of the same issue and these Chinese companies just don't give a damn they could care less! I hate the fact that if you're not a Apple user you seem to lose out on a lot of product functionality across the board

Compared to the IOS app, this app literally makes the device castrated. If you cant provide same level of service to Android users at least provide a disclosure the app is not fully supporting the device functions. In 2017 there's no excuse for such a difference in app quality between is and andriod so you can only assume Zhiyun disparage its Android users! Sad!

Fix Bluetooth . Who knows what it is like when it doesn't work . Crap. ZA v1.5 or v1.6 a waste of time for android v 6.0.1 they seen to be more worried about its appearance than its function. finally it works . after a ph update then reinstalled the software.

It has poor Features, just photo and video, it did not have panorama, time lapse, 360 function. Please Improved the App for Android..

The Q works fine and I have recorded great video, however features that the app controls are poor and it crashes way to much. Fix the app and you will have a 5 star product.

Terrible! Developer doesn't care about android users. This app has minimal features for Android - iOS has all the features!

Android version crippled compared to iOS app. Please give this more attention.

Im Using LG V10 for this App. This are my Problems; 1. bluetooth always disconnects 2. No timeplase features. 3. Object tracking is crashing 4. No panorama 5. No manual video settings

Where are the features advertised on the web site? Time lapse, slow motion and more all missing. Very disappointing app for such a cool piece of hardware.

Kinda useless. Battery meter always shows 100%. Crashes most of the time. The follow me feature doesn't follow you at all. Zoom in android while recording of is painful.

Definately do not need to access my phone to make calls you need to remove that ermission I will not usw this app because of that. Too invasive.

1. Why does app need access to my phone? (If I don't allow it. It won't open) Please fix this. 2. Why does it need access to my location in order to conect to gimbal bluetooth?? Hope zhiyun fix the persuasions
