Zhiyun Camera for Android
Basic control, more features will get 5 stars. Most important feature it lacks is the ability to control or disable AF during video shooting, and fix exposure compensation, WB and other parameters needed for a truely solid performer. There are other apps that do so, but lose the remote triggering of the camera.
I'll move this to a 5 when my nexus 6p starts working better. There is no option to stop or configure autofocus. So, while you're shooting video it's always focusing (this is really annoying and bad for filming). Lastly, the front facing camera video comes in upside down. I can fix this in post but it would be better if I didn't have to adjust the orientation. For now I'll use the gimbal with the standard android camera app. Edit: The facial detection feature seems to do nothing. I assume it's likely because of the infinite auto focus issue.
What doesn't it have the option to choose 4k? I need to video in this option. Is there a bug or update issue? Please solve asap.
The app keeps on refocus very time I move the phone, making the video very bad!!!
Keeps hunting for focus... Absolutely unusable
Useless app for my galaxy S7 close to zero features, and doesn't allow for 4k filming. May as well use the default camera app.
I use it with the smooth 2 and everytime I connect it to the smooth 2 it crashes.
Another useless app which is unable to connect to the gimbal
I gave it 5 star because i purchased a zhiyun smooth 2 and i loved it! But the problem is that we need a rotating time lapse mode! Please. Thanks
I have two phones, an Nexus 4 ,and an Nexus 6p. The image is good on my Nexus 4 but on my Nexus 6p , when I switch to front camera, the image is update down, and I cannot change the ISO settings either, but no problem on my Nexus 4. Both are running Android 6.
The preview of the video looks fine ... However the saved video is inverted. Also no support for timelapse or motion timelapses.
Missing option to save photo and video to SD card..
Front camera upside down...
Really good quality app. Keep up the good work! I love the support team, Rose is the best!
New version improve iso and white balance setting already, good job!!

Not sure if I am missing something but I don't have an option to select 4K under the resolution settings of my Samsung s7, whereas I can on an iPhone. Please enlighten me if I have overlooked something. I need to shoot at 4K, so this app seems useless for my purposes. Also, the focusing is not smooth and it jumps from object to object. I prefer to use the native camera software of the Samsung s7 I am using - at least I can get my 4K footage.
