Messages for Gear Fit

I read some reviews and decided to give this a shot. In the end I'm pretty unhappy I paid $1.99 for the app, I had to reset my device because the download has been sending me duplicate messages that I can't respond back to. It had a large lag time. I deleted it already off my phone because I don't think it's quite useful. I'm sorry but it's not as I had expected.

The ap installed quick and work. Little freeze sometimes when you use the keyboard. But finally its ok. For direct replying from received message I dont know if this Working

So this is my updated review. As of 3/30. The text app is basic, it's not t9, it uses predictive text instead. Anyone that was around when t9 came out knows what the real t9 is. Predictive text is still okay. Still really hard to text long sentences/even short. It should already capitalize the beginning of your sentence.

I have everything downloaded but can not figure out how to get it to work on my gear fit to send messages. Everything on my gear fit is exactly as it was on factory settings after downloading. How do I get it to b able to type messages n not just send quick texts.

PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK! READ REVIEWS FIRST! I had ALL the issues everyone else had. Screen on fit freezing, issues typing, Bluetooth dropping, received some messages but not all, and it would restart my fit. All within the first day. And all issues I didn't have prior to install. (Forgot to mention I have the Gear fit not the fit2 and Samsung Note 4) Uninstalled the next day, emailed Google and Zero labs for refund. Google said they couldn't issue me a refund and to contact Zero labs. Emailed Zero labs twice NO response. Buyer beware.

Can I get a refund? This app only worked the first 2 times and now says cannot connect. I am deleteing. Don't waste your money.

I enjoy being able to text from my watch especially when I'm at work and can't have my actual phone out of visible. But I have a really hard time getting the ok delete etc buttons that are on the edges of the screen to acknowledge that I've pressed them. I don't know if this is lag bc sometimes it acts like I've hit them x# of times once it goes,or if it's the sensitivity of the watch touch screen

Great idea but it let me send one text and now it wont open at all. Its a waste of money

Can't compose messages from watch only quick response. If keyboard come up would be happy with it

Doesn't even work when you need it to and slow as hell. Waste of money if you ask me.

It would be better if when you receive a text you can hit reply. Instead you have to exit the text then go your apps to view messages and then hit reply. Am I missing something?

It may only be because i am not using a Samsung phone but sometimes the program will crash after receiving a text or if i have to close it while composing a text on the watch. I am using an lg g3. I would like to see better compatibility with my device maybe? And also i would like to see notifications on the watch when receiving texts from programs like go sms pro as the stock sms program crashes when using the gear fit manager and watch.

Everything on your gearfit is displaying correctly even this app until I pick a recipient then the screen inverts . My gearfit is worn and setup to be on my right wrist.

I love the idea of this but I HATE that anything I send on the watch does not show up on the watch or the phone anywhere. That bugs me more than anything. Please fix. Otherwise it is a very good little gear fit app.

Does what it is suppose to do to, however, it would be even better if it had a "delete old message" option. Also, it would be great if the app would bring up the current message received instead of me trying to scroll through pages before seeing it. I have a Note 3. *** 4/14 Update - I see my "new" messages first now! YAY! Also, if I receive a single message viewed "vertically" (which is how I like mine set up) it gets cut off and can't be seen unless I switch it to "horizontal." Please fix. Thanks!

I love this app! Being able to respond and even compose text messages from my watch is very convenient! My only complaint is that the keyboard sometimes does not register my input. This makes it a chore at times to type out a message. However, when it works it is very easy and simple to use. 4 out of 5 stars for me. If you can fix the input recognition than a perfect 5 stars!!! Thanks for your hard work!

I was a bit skeptical of buying this app at first. But it seems to work fine, especially for the small screen on the gear fit. I did experience the same screen lock up and bluetooth disconect that others talked about. However, after i put it in vertical view and took my time typing, i haven't had a single issue. It's nice to send a quick text from my wrist. It appears that the idea for typing a text is 'slow is smooth and smooth is fast'

When I'm trying to use my gear fit messaging app the screen flips the other way.... Please try to fix this bug...

I love it when it works but recently it pops up unable to connect to phone. I then have to turn off Bluetooth then turn it back on even the the unit itself shows its connected the whole time.

It's a little annoying that you can't reply right when you get a notification of a text, but it's really helpful when I'm working to keep in touch with everyone. The quick replies are easy to set up and exactly what I wanted. I have the Gear Fit & Galaxy Note 4.

I don't get it? I thought it was an app so you can send messages from your gear fit watch instead of having to touch your phone. Please help me as the set up instructions are not clear and as far as i can see it does nothing for $4.05

It has a problem on my phone, it doesn't recognise my messaging app pressing the top-right corner of the app...

I have tried to open this on the watch and it won't connect. I've tried changing the display to horizontal like some suggest. Everything else connects fine, just not this app. It's crap. Can i get a refund?

Hi, this is a good app if it works. I just purchased it yesterday and it worked like a champ. Then today, I do receive my messages via the regular messaging app but not this one. Says no connection. Can you please correct or I will be asking for a refund. Thank you

I have the Gear Fit and a Samsung Note 5. I have had the connected app for a week. So far there have been no issues. I like how I can make changes to quick responses and predict text. Yes it stinks to have to to T9 text,but hey it's a small screen at least it gives you the option to make your own message.

I like the app but it goes upside (in vertical view) when adding contact to send message out. Kind of annoying.

It is not responding to my phone out of 10 times only once will work

It's very handy when you don't have your phone handy. I wish this was the native popup notification so we could reply from the notification. Thanks dev!

I have been charged twice for this app and want a refund immediately you have stolen money...on a brighter note the app is good and works well hence the star rating

Only complaint is you can't respond to group messages and my family and I group text a lot. Kind of a let down

I just made the down load. And staring to under Stan how it work and the gear just capt teling devise disconnected and then it conecting and disconnecting. I was in a call and it just made me mad because I could not stay in the call.

I just purchased mine, and i already love it. I like more of the fact that when i am recieving a call i can glance at my watch rather than fish for my phone either in my pocket or in my holster so i can decide whether or not to answer And to quickly reply to a text thats important, its the Best :) i never thought i would like a gaget like this nearly as much as i do. It is Awesome ♡

It works well...the description says T9 input I thought this meant you wouldn't be required to multi tap to compose a message T9 doesn't seem to be available but I highly recommend making it more predictive! However its a convenient app and seems to be stable and reliable.

Great app. Glad it has a keyboard option so if my quick replies don't say what I want, I can easily type a reply out. Just wish there was a notification for this app rather than my default app on my phone. Would make the keyboard option quicker to get to... Overall, worth $1.99.

This app does exactly what it's supposed to so kudos! The only complaint I have is the lack of punctuation such as parentheses or semicolons.

I paid $2.99 for this stupid app and it wont even send messages.....

If u take ur time when putting the text message in, its ok. I had it about a week now and had to shut down my phone and restart it 2 times. Sometimes the ok button gets stuck when ur ready to send ur message. I wish u could just speak into the gear fit watch and it type it for u, that would make this app a lot better!

It can get the job done if you don't have your cell on ya and you want to respond to another text.
