Le Festival Cidre et Dragon a pour but de faire découvrir les univers de la Fantasy et les mondes de l'imaginaire au grand public. Conformément à la volonté du Raid Tolkien, qui est l'âme de cet évènement, l'entrée à ce festival est gratuite et ouverte à tous (sauf quelques activités ou animations, telles que le concert, le tir-à-l'arc, la participation au GN (jeu de rôle Grandeur Nature)...).
