At the time of my review the login server, mandatory for using the app, is probably down. I almost never download this kind of apps. The reason for which I don't rate it 1 star is that I understand the devs reasoning which stand behind such a decision. While the lessons/courses provided are very well made, those are pretty basic. You won't learn any programming language here but it consitutes an excellent starting point.

This is a fantastic app. Its perfect as a supplementary program to reinforce knowledge you are already studying. It could be a primary learning source but I believe it's best to learn code through writing. There are some quizzes which require written code. Mainly though it's multiple choice and placing things in order. I really enjoy it, but I am reinforcing not learning for the first time. It really is a great app though.

This app is amazing! I couldn't figure out WHAT I wanted to do with my life and on a whim I thought about coding. It's a challenge, but nothing you can't handle if you try hard enough. This app is so helpful and interactive I only wish there was a highlighting and notes function. I'd definitely recommend this.

Pros : -Clean & Simple to use -Beginner Friendly. -A lot of courses . -Feels like a game . Cons : -Courses cover the absolute basics and not much else. -The app won't let you complete all the courses in a short time period (unless you pay). -The reward system. Add more advanced lessons and lower the price of the courses (46 USD is ridiculously high for the amount of info it covers)

Brilliant Content, App needs work! I cannot stress how great the content in the app is. It is well written, dead simple, perfect for beginners and those who want to review their knowledge. This helps me to revise for my upcoming computer science exam so much! I did not give it 5 stars, however for a few reasons. Firstly, the UI is a little counter intuitive in terms of navigation and slightly buggy sometimes - moving between lessons and topics should be improved. Secondly, although this is more of a feature request, the app could have offline access. I recently found myself out of data and therefore, without access to the lessons. Other than that - amazing application - something that I was long looking for. Great work, Zenva!

I love how the courses are taught. But, if you want to finish them in a short amount of time you'll either have to pay or watch countless ads which is a shameful way to make money on an education app. I've only been about to do 4 courses so far without paying. I'd also love to see more advanced courses.

Excellent app to learn on. I would expect this to become either a paid app or to depend heavily on in app purchases though, just basing myself on the in app currency idea and point reward system it uses...if it stays within an understandable and approachable price range it would still be worth the investment. Have not used it long enough to know how much the true cost of it is, so far it has been free.

I70%
by I####:

Great design and functionality. Only problems I have: not enough content for regular quizes to test yourself; you'd have to watch like 10 minutes of ads to get enough in app currency to unlock one course section (CHRIST!!); And the code challenges could be a bit tougher. But it's the best programming education apps or education apps in general for phones I've seen yet!

I have tried a ton coding apps, it kills the passage of time and helps keep the my mind fresh, anyways although this app looks like a childs game, it is a very user friendly GUI. This apps' simplicity breaks down coding into the simplest of terms, with fun and easy to understand lessons which is great! Courses are programmed as games, you complete the lessons and achieve points to buy or unlock higher levels. The whole design throughout the lessons help drive the entire point of each lesson, not getting too far ahead too fast. This app won me over. Good job! Also if your new to programming you can never go wrong learning the basics throughly.

It is a great app with amazing didactic but... Still teaching python 2 concepts as we can see in the loops section. The python community says "friends don't let friends use python 2" so it is not nice to keep propagating outdated coding techniques. Can you update you text to python 3, please?

This app is great for learning to code! The only issue I have is with the coin system. I can only continue a course once a day, due to not purchasing coins. I would gladly pay for a full paid version of this application in order to not need coins to continue learning. Otherwise, great app!

Z70%
by Z####:

Excellent but I dislike that I have to be online to practice courses I already unlocked. Also I should be able to skim through the courses I have completed in case I need to review something in the middle of a course. Please check the SoloLearn app to understand your deficiencies. Keep up the great work!

F70%
by F####:

Brilliant app. Maybe not as thorough as solo learn but arguably more valuable for novice learners as its design and feel are brilliant. The majority of code learning environments are dull and immediately off putting. Well done for solving this ????

F70%
by F####:

Would have rated higher if I could connect to the servers... Haven't been able to use the app for a day because the server seems to be down. Too bad :(

E70%
by E####:

This APP IS THE BEST ('5stars!') FOR BEGINNERS AND ADVANCE... If I had to spend money on the tokens I will.... Lessons are targeted at the right angles for understanding.

J70%
by J####:

Decent app overall. Some minor grammatical errors in the text throughout but nothing too terrible and the actual course learning seems to be correct which is more important anyway. Fairly basic beginner stuff without much interactivity but seems good for initial learning. Very short though, courses are maybe 30-60mins worth of material each. Also I think the weird monster characters are hideous abominations but that's just aesthetics...

Z70%
by Z####:

Great app to dip your toes in. Does a good job of quickly introducing the various elements and how you can use them. My only criticism would be in the use of colours (vivid for navigation and dull for success???!!!) and in the navigation (unnecessary going back and forth). But really, that's more nit-picking

H70%
by H####:

Pros: nice content for beginners. Cons: can't skip lessons, you have to suffer the boring HTML, CSS, Basic JS lesson to go to React tutorial. The designers intentional designed the point system to run out of coins so they can monetize. To greedy

Z70%
by Z####:

The app is lovely, especially good for children. Yes, it has spelling mistakes (I believe the creator is not a native speaker or close), but it's free, so I try to report any mistakes if I see them. The guy who wrote that the app is "childish and unprofessional" is just a boring old man who thinks professionalism is about appearances and not about actual performance.

D70%
by D####:

I love the content, but I don't like the logo. I think it's too much, maybe you can just put the octopus as the logo and take out the rest (red gradient, multiple tab, etc). -just a suggestion.-

Z70%
by Z####:

Started using it without making an account and lessons were pretty good, despite there not being quite enough coins to do more than 1 or 2 lessons a day. I finally decided I liked it enough to make an account, but after doing so it DELETED all my progress on 2 of my courses and un-enrolled me from them! Making it worse is I don't even have enough coins to re-enroll and unlock those lessons! I wish I never made an account, and I am so glad I didn't start buying coins.

E70%
by E####:

The app covers only very basic content. I would have preferred that it had way more information. I've tried the html module and I can't say it was extensive enough, lacking the majority of the tags, the attributes and the section

U70%
by U####:

The only issue is the coins.. For watching ad also your giving very low coins.. Can you please increase it. And also add share button in your app so that it will be easy to share the Google play link with friends and also easy suggest to friends..

K70%
by K####:

So far material is basic. Might get better later on, however is super slow to advance without paying. Can only do 1 very short lesson a day with coin system unless you watch adds. Need to watch 10 adds to get enough coins to do another lesson and most of the time the adds won't play, so you can't get more coins... would be better as a paid app, rather than a poorly implemented freemium model.

I backed this on kickstarter and find it's a great way to keep my knowledge up in between actual programming sessions. I don't have a lot of time to program every day or in the week, so this app helps me maintain the knowledge and think in programming terms when I can't sit down at the computer. Currently working on the c# basics in the game development course, but am interested in the other courses available!

X70%

It's a good app, but there's a lot of misspellings. I also think it looks very childish and unprofessional with cartoons.

Z70%

The app is great I have tried many of learning coding app this one is good and fast make the lessons faster and easy to learn and remember only one thing I hope is to make coins easy to get one coins for watching an ad is not fair we want to learn coding please we need more coins and courses to be available thank you

Z70%

I haven't gone very far but from what I've seen this is an excellent teaching method. Gives basic ideas before jumping into syntax and more complicated information.

I've tried at least five or so learn to code apps and Codemurai is my favorite of them all. The instructions are clear and concise and leave out details that might be overwhelming for a complete beginner and the developers have done a really good job at "gamifying" learning - it is actually a fun app to learn with!

S70%

I love this so much! Using this app to learn JS. The design is fun, fresh, and makes me want to keep learning. The courses are easy to be learnt and memorized. As a visual learner, pictures are a must—and this is the best programming app I've ever had. I might consider to buy the coin packs later to support the dev. Great job there! :D

Z70%

I liked the app overall, but I must say I was quite disappointed with the fact that you're only taught the VERY basics. I would've at least liked to find out there is another similar app with more info than this one or smth like that..

First of all, daily reward 25 coin don't work more often than not and don't recognize a new day connection when it start where you were left off, secondly lesson are super short and you need also to have previous experience, it's like a refresher... It would be better with a pay model, not buying coin like a supercell game.It would also take way too much time, without paying. Lesson are not even on the app but pulled'from the server. Also they implement view of ads for a mere amount of coins, utterly ridiculous.I wanted to love this app.

Z70%
by Z####:

I'm just beginning to use this app, but it is wonderful. I write code on a regular basis for work and personal use already, but this app explains coding better than I personally can explain to others. Plus it has great visual and interactive diagrams that make it easier to pick up for people new (or rusty) to coding. I'm definitely going to recommend this to my friends. Keep up the great work.

The bright/neon green color bar at the bottom hurts the eyes. Makes one nauseous. Consider picking better colors

Having to slow down to wait for coins means having to use a competing learning tool during the downtime. Fantastic lessons though!

Z70%

Many learning apps out there but this one is imo the best one. Great supplemental app for those learning to program. Easy, understandable and not too gimmicky. Though I wouldn't recommend just this app for learning, it's great for review. Great job!

O70%

Definitely could do eith more lessons or possibly harder problems to type out the whole program. Lessons are well written though. Easy to understand.

Z70%
by Z####:

Another great app to learn how to code. But, the coin is the problem hehe

Z70%
by Z####:

Great app! Would love more questions with randomised order so when you back to practice you don't always get the same question. Prevents the user from memorising answers. This is great though!

Z70%
by Z####:

Tutorial is good but add an option to skip the courses which we already know. Conduct a test for skipping ahead and if the user is able to answer the questions, he is allowed to skip ahead!
