Messaging Metro Beta

I would gladly pay for a full version of this app, granted it included a "default messaging" setting. Description not clear how much donations need to be or whether you need to donate more than once to get more features. Next feature needs to be a way to make this is my default messaging system. Looking forward to developments!

I donated after about two minutes of playing around with the app, but then I realized that it doesn't actually work and hasn't been supported in almost one year exactly, which is a real bummer. Aesthetically, the app is seriously perfect. The description isn't kidding when it says attention has been paid to every detail. It is fast. It is beautiful. It is perfect. The options are great, the pop-up feature is great, the whole thing is great. The only problem is that it can't handle MMS, can't be set as the default SMS app, and can't send SMS texts. It can receive them, just not send. It's a huge, huge bummer. I'm not bummed that I donated; I'm just bummed that it's sooooo close. I really hope the developer updates it to at least be able to send texts.

OK so I am updating my review...I think it looks great! That's it...I can not get the messaging to work at all! I did notice there's no way to attach anything either, nor a problem when you can't even text! Still have to use hangouts

This app is really nice and clean looking but it would be better if you could make it support picture messaging and also when someone sends me a message I most of the time get the message three to four times and they only send it once. I know it has nothing to do with my phone because it doesn't do it with the message system my phone came with.

Quite a shame. Paid for this because it promised updates, but it doesn't work on Android 4.4 on my Samsung Galaxy S4! Developer isn't fixing the issue either, and no mention of it anywhere! You're warned: don't be ripped off.

How come most of the basic functions need to be paid? Even the pop-up notifier needs donation. Update came, I thought we can get to avail some free basic functions but then none. Other than that, this is my favorite sms app. I just hope in the next update, we can have some of those basic functions for free...

I honestly have very little problems with this app. Pros: 1. super responsive on Galaxy s4 2. full screen mode is awesome 3. system notifications all seem to work, I believe the popup works as well but I think its very particular in that you must not be in the app at the time and also not have any other app open but have not paid enough attention to be sure 4. fade animation, font sizes, font types, and bubble colors all work well 5. messages appear in order of most recent with correct timestamps Cons 1. not a huge fan of having to donate in order to unlock features, although I only donated like 2.99 in order to unlock system notifications. 2. not MMS support All in all, this is a beautiful UI, responsive, pretty customizable and I understand that more work has to go into it to make it work hence the donations. Keep up the good work, cant wait for version 1.0!!

I have the same problem with other apps like this. I can't send nor receive messages. And I would love to support the developer but I can't if app doesn't work.

Offering this as a free app but putting message notifications behind a paywall is a very nickel-and-dime move. Notifications should be an available feature from the get go. Unfortunately, it's a really well made app. I'm sorry to see the developer restrict features like this.

Nice looking (windows phone style) but very, very limited features unless you give the dev 2.99£, 6.99 or 14.99. As it's not been updated for THREE years, I don't think so.

If you make apps as a hobby, do this for free. Take $3 and do absolutely nothing with the app for so long. Criminal. Don't bother, this will remain in beta forever.

I love this app, and how close it is to wp, but not being able to set as my default app and the lack of MMS is stupid. Also, having to pay for simple features is ridiculous! It seems like this app is abandoned, because it doesn't even work on KitKat, much less lollipop.

App seems good until you try doing anything with it like deleting old convos and you can't to you donate to th producer and then you can do what you want. Smallest donation is to buy him a $2.99 beer. Fix this.

This is a very good app., visual is good. The missing thing is the possibility to read the recipients list when you send to multiple contacts a message. Maybe the developer will think about fixing it

Seriously, this is a gorgeous app that is completely ruined by a greedy developer. Three OBVIOUS enhancements even the free version should have: MMS support, delete options, and defaulting. (And not allowing someone to default your app for free is a quick way to lose them as a consumer... If they RELY on you and use you CONSTANTLY, then they'll end up paying eventually.)

This app has a lot of potentials. It is smoother than Messaging 7. Please exit the beta stage already. And pls... be fair. Let us have the features that we need. DELETE.... BACKGROUND.... ACCENT COLORS... this app is a surefire if you'd only listen to us.

great and responsive Dev! If anything his responsiveness is worth 5 stars alone. Great app if you have trouble with the the time in your message boxes download SMS time fix... worked like a charm for me :)

Need to fix the problem with messages being duplicated. And why can't I send pictures in that app? Also duplicate messages. Fix please.

I understand you worked hard on the App, but what is the point in locking all the features for a donation. If you're doing THAT bad, you need a different hobby jack.

I wanted to give this developer a try but sadly you have to "donate" to make even basic changes.

1. WHEN more than one messages arrive, and we tap on the notifications it leads us to the defaul messaging app. 2. Please free all settings. Otherwise, sooperb app, highly appriciated.

you should let us use the other features. atleast the changing of the bubble color. It is great but you should have let us explore evry part of your work.

Perfection, it is capable for all needs that I have for a SMS app. Most importantly, it is so smooth, much better than the ones I used.

Finish the product, then ask to get paid. I would love to pay for this when it's done, but the restrictions in this version just makes it ridiculous and unusable. Will monitor your progress.

Was my trusted messaging up, and now it's completely broken with the new update. Donated a while ago and feel a bit conned as they promised updates. Come on...

This app is great don't get me wrong...but you can't change hardly any options unless you 'donate' £2.99...for a messaging app? You must be crazy! 0.69p yeah sure, but £2.99?? Ferren, this app is great but I don't think you know how donations work, you cannot force people to donate. Either make it a paid app or give it for free with an option to donate out of support not for getting more features!

Beautiful app. Downloaded today and also donated today to get the extra features. Glad to contribute as this app is one of the most polished looking ones in the Play Store. Crossing my fingers that the MMS feature appears soon. Once that happens, this app would be golden!

Liked the look, the simplicity and the animation. Didn't like being forced to "donate" in order to get something as simple as changing a color scheme, but did it anyway. So yes, now I can change options, but that's it. The pop-up is screwed up, I can't send a text and it won't allow for being made the default app. Seriously, what did I spend money on? Spent the two hours I could have used for a refund trying to get this to work. I know better and still got screwed. DON'T PAY FOR THIS APP... RESEARCH!!

Have a Galaxy Note 3 themed in Windows Phone style. This would have been a perfect texting app but it stopped sending texts. It stopped working even after a donation .

I recently got the Motorola Droid Ultra through Verizon and now I am unable to send messages... They just clear when I hit the send button. Sad panda...

It could have been really great but why would there be a free version if you have to dontate for everything?
