Zak Powers is a psychotherapist operating from his own Clinic in Dublin City centre. He comes to you with 16 years experience in private practice. The majority of clients who present themselves for therapy have been referred by their G.P or psychiatrist. Although Zak also accepts clients who have decided for themselves to attend therapy. As a mental health professional he has worked in, and consulted for a number of industries, including both the public and private health care system in Ireland. In addition to his work in private practice, Zak has given a number of presentations to private companies over the years. Presentations which include topics such as stress management, C.B.T, weight loss, phobias, OCD, and addictive behaviour. Zak has trained and qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychotherapy with Middlesex University, London. He is also professionally trained and certified in suicide intervention and is an affiliate of the faculty of Cinical Health Psychology at the British Psychological Society. He is also a full member of the International Society for Interpersonal Psychotherapy and the Psychologist Protection Society Trust. Zak takes care of his own mental health with regular therapy and his work is supervised on an ongoing basis He has worked as a motivational therapist with both national and world champions in their particular fields of sport and he continues to educate himself as he grows as a therapist.
