My SMS Reader is an application that allows you listen to your text messages (SMS) at the time you received them.
It is also possible to listen to all messages you have sent and received.
Like common SMS apps, messages are grouped in conversations. This allows you to have the experience of listening a text message conversation as if you were listening to a real conversation.
Besides, this app allows you to select the gender of your contacts so you can listen to a male or female voice as appropriate.
If you prefer, when a new message is received, you can read it automatically or by pressing a play button shown in the “Message Received” pop up window, it shows the message, the contact who sent it and a button to start playing the message.

Firstly, your male voice is actually a female voice. Secondly, it doesn't say the sender's name, so I sometimes get freaked out when I receive a love text from my gf right after my boss texts me something. But this app does a good job at saying what's written, even slang and made up words. Made me laugh for days.

Bottom message is blocked by a useless ad. You can't close the ad or get around it. Don't waste your time with this one.

I realize that nothing is perfect, and there is always room for improvement, but I am really disappointed. It is a great app all the way around except for it not puling the name out of the contact and either reading it or at least displaying the name. How many phone numbers do you remember? In a pinch, I might not even remember mine! Ha Ha. I think that one change would make this a first rate app.
