Update Monitor provides websites change monitoring and instant notifications on your phone's status bar. You can choose to check a website for general updates, or you can choose to receive notification only when the site contains a specific word or phrase. This app works in "silent mode", while you use your phone to do other stuff, also (if you want) the monitor starts automatically when you turn on the phone.
In FREE version you can't:
-handle unlimited websites
-save and load website's list
-choose interval between checks (30 secs to 6 hours)
-remove ads

Couldn't see the controls properly. Rarely have I seen such a poorly designed interface. So bad that I couldn't be bothered to try and work out how to use this, so can't comment on whether it works or not.

Does not accept a URL with a port number. Light text on white background is barely readable.

It wouldn't accept a https:// site. Apparently, doesn't support password-protected sites.
