ID3Fixer for Android
I spent quite a long time fine tuning the tags on my music on my computer before copying the songs onto my mobile device. To my dismay, the ID3 tags were all screwed up (apparently this is a common issue). I installed this app, selected all my music, and it automatically restored all of the tags! I had ~800 songs, and they were fixed in under a minute, with perfect accuracy as far as I can tell so far! I'm very impressed, and relieved that all my work wasn't for nothing.
Easy to use, but says has been successful when it hasn't. Have tried repeatedly but all the songs are still in the unknown artist folder. When the music was stored on my phone's internal menu the id3 tags were all perfect. Very disappointed.
Will not work on files on external SD card, otherwise, works well. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that, rather than giving an error, the app reports it's successful in fixing the files on SD card, while in fact it is not. You can move files temporarily, fix them, then move them back. Still, supremely useful app, as long as you realize this limitation, and deserves 4 stars.
Inconvenient 'Lack' of list toggle.I have just over 8000 songs on my phone and on occasion I need to correct id3 tags. This used to be the best one available. But there's no longer a scroll bar to skip to the end of lists. And having 8k+ of songs it takes ages to manually scroll to the end of the list so I can work on new additions. Why was it removed. I wanted to comment before I uninstall it. Because of that reason alone we are all removing it (App Developers group too). It's just very inconvenient. It's a pity.
Fixed all the weird transfers. I don't get why music apps don't allow editing straight from there. Can't add album art and everything, or even edit the titles. I had that while using ASUS and it was so convenient, switched to LG and remembered why I hated music apps in other brands.
Hassle. Some lists aren't alphabetical - pretty dumb, especially for a text-driven app. Appears to lack batch rename and ability to combine albums. Uninstalled.
Changed songs info but still kept them in "unknown artist" folder. Still have artist name and song title under "song title" tag. Library is still a mess.
Easy enough to use and select the files I want to fix. The app reports a success upon completion, but when I check the files back through my media player they are still untagged.
Very nice app, does all that is advertised. But please, please! Add support for modern Android 5+ file access framework. Without that support the results cannot be saved to mp3 files directly, only to Android database, which is useless when you use your device as flash storage frequently, the database recreates every time.
Great App. I always have the problem where m4a files show up as 'unknown artist' on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I have tried many applications in an attempt to edit the tags, but to no avail. This app fixed this issue. First time it did not work though the wizard mode. Second attempt through the classic mode it worked. Very happy !
Fixed all my songs' ID3 tags flawlessly! Amazing app, extremely satisfied! The Android album art glitch is annoying, but understandable that it's a system glitch and can't be resolved.
Awesome app! Helped me fixed the tags which were not getting recognized in my Android device but were there in my PC. I have a very large music library and this app saved me!
This is the worst GUI of any app I've ever used. Also...it simply doesn't work
I can edit all the song info one track at a time but the app will not place the song under the correct artist in my music player. Flawed app only gets 3 because I could fix the song and album names
I select what I want to fix, and the character set, and in the preview it shows the correct text, but when trying to save it always fails.
Can not input any info. Fix button should be renamed failed button. Absolutely useless.
Pretty UI but not intuitive and shouldn't have to choose a charset and doesn't work, at least not on sd card didn't change the tag at all, deleted
I think something happened to my mp3 files because suddenly it cannot be read by my music players, only file managers does, even the tags are lost, after using the app all information are here again and my music player can recognize my mp3s , THANKS MAN!
That was my problem - for about 90% of my music files, even though I had only moved my SD card from my old phone. This app fixed all but 3 files.
I downloaded this app to update the unknown artists on my Android. App updates the artist's name on the SD card, but I have to use the "Fix Android database only..." option. The "Fix tags in music files permanently..." does not work, howerver.
Thanks developer I'M facing a problem of empty tag field from 7 to 8 months but you really solve my problem today thanks.
Does absolutely nothing! Everytime you go to edit tags it fails!
App not supporting file extension like FLAC, ALAC & DTS file format. Do the need full in next update
I had hundreds of non-English characters in the ID tags of my Android music collection. This app resolved them all in easy batches. Nice interface with a few options
I was finally able to sort out the ID3 tags for songs on my device that for no clear reason were classed as 'Unknown', this fixed that, which no other music tag editor was able to do for me.
Thanks!!! For ages I've had one album fir which my phone could not recognise the tags, but PC and tag edit apps could, this fixed it!!!!
Completely un intuitive. Poorly organized menus. App decided to edit all unselected files in a directory, instead of the single one selected. Promptly deleted this app.
... with one design flaw - it seems to replace "Album Artist" tag content with "Album" and thus mixing up albums with the same name but from different artists. Can you please fix it? Ability to edit Album Artist would be even better as well as alphabetical sorting option. Thank you!
Hassle. Some lists aren't alphabetical - pretty dumb, especially for a text-driven app. Appears to lack batch rename and ability to combine albums. Uninstalled.
Just change the app so that we can fix the songs on our SD card. S4 did it, why not S5
在android5.0下,不能写sdcard. I need access to write external SD card in lollipop.
This works. It's easy it's free and it fixes it in your music app (ex. Google play music) must have
It was a little confusing at first, but it works great.
It only rename the file's name, doesn't the ID3.
Help me to fix the problem that google music fails to display Japanese
Had two songs in an album where the special character in the album title was replaced by a wrong character so the songs were showing up in a separate album. I wasn't able to fix it using the "fix tags in music files permanently" option, only the option to fix android database worked. The issue might be that my music is on an external SD and Lollipop has some security restrictions.
The only ID3 tagger that was able to fix my tag issues.
All my music became unknown artist and unknown album after a system update. The wizard function quickly restored all the information on my phones database solving my problem, highly recommended.
Not sure why people are saying it's unintuitive - it's the opposite! the "wizard" option worked exceptionally well and fixed all my songs which were displaying "unknown" as the artist. The only slightly confusing bit is choosing a target charset - but just scroll down and there's the obvious option. great app.

The app is very easy to use and great! I recommend to use UTF-8 target encoding because this is standard and it will work on all operating systems. But there are few moments with Android as always :) App cannot access SD card on Android version 5 and above. So you first of all need to move your music (which you want to fix) to Internal storage, then apply fix and move it back to SD card finally. Enjoy! Thanks to developers! Google Play Music app finally shows everything properly after applying this fix :)
