Studious for Android
This app is fanta-bulous (combination of fantastic and fabulous)!!! I'm in university and I've always had some difficulty remembering what days I have what and when, this helps with that!!! I love love love how it has categories for homework and tests and even to and any notes!!! Well done developers you're doing something very right!! It's is the best!!! So sad I had to remove 2 stars. But here is why. It does not have an option for adding discussion or laboratory times only lecture times.
Awesome app! It's perfect for students; very intuitive and simple. The developers know their target users well. The only thing missing is a way to sync with any desktop program (i don't care, if it's google, evernote, wunderlist, oneNote, or even your own program, i need this on my pc)
Room numbers and professors for courses, please! I'm always getting lost. :) Also, I have 3 lectures every week for each course, if the subjects had slightly more space in the opening screen, you could fit in three lines of text.
Does what it says it's going to do. Could be improved by adding an actual timetable to it so that I can see what time my classes are on as once the hours are input you have to go to edit the subject in order to see what time your classes are at. The home UI only shows the first two classes of each subject.
Having a lessons schedule really seems like it should a primary feature. I input all my courses before realizing I can't see my day-to-day schedule when I need it. This really kills it for me. Please add this as soon as possible and i'll change the review and even buy the ad-free version.
It would be even better if I could write the room numbers in, if it would mute my phone durimg all of the classes not some of them, if it had widgets, and more problem number options, also it's kinda hard to set the date because I always have to open a normal calendar to see which date my homework is due... It really helps me a lot but I want to find an app which does everything I enumerated. Love the calendar view though. Oh and I hate that you can't just check the completed homework.
I like this app for my phone because it silences my ringtone automatically during classes but I cannot sync with my tablet. Would be great if you could figure this out. Similar to Evernote which even syncs to your PC. Mostly use this for the phone feature now and still use a paper planner and Google calendar. I would definitely use the app more if I could sync and gladly give it 5 stars.
It doesn't consistently silence and unsilence my phone. When it works, it's amazing, but it only works about half the time. And whenever daylight savings changes (forward or backward) it screws up the app and things are off by an hour. I don't use a task killer and I even make sure to open the app before class to make sure it's working. Galaxy S5, Android 5.0
I love it! Just wish that there was an option to add homework assignments and exams to my Google Calendar from inside the app. EDIT: Twice now it has made mistakes such as deleting a class and showing an exact duplicate of another in its place. I restarted the app a couple times and then it went back to normal. The second time it stayed that way, so now I have to reduce my rating. I need a planner that I can depend on. Won't be using it for a while. Maybe I'll try it later to see if it ever got fixed, but for now I'm going to look for something else.
As one person commented, there is no "completed" function under the homework section. My biggest complaint is an inability to edit notes once written and the lack of sync support between devices. I get that I'm paying for an ad-free program, but why bother when the program is so basic it's not beneficial? Please update.
I like the UI and the silence feature, but I have been having troubles with the app crashing on startup. Biggest issue is that there doesn't seem to be a way to mark an assignment as complete other than the due date passing, which is automatic. What if I finish early or am late? Other than that, it is intuitive and great to use so far
I like this app. I really do. But I'm using a transformer tablet, and the calendar view always defaults to portrait mode, which makes the calendar extremely hard to use unless I take my keyboard off and rotate my tablet. There doesn't appear to be a way to view the calendar in landscape mode. The app is still nice, but I can't really use the calendar while I have the keyboard attached to enter new items in. I'm holding back on my last star for now, because of this. Please fix it! =]
Crashes frequently on my Galaxy SIII. Ringer off function is unreliable. No backup to disk or cloud function. The interface is intuitive and well designed, but the app has improved little over the last year I used it. It has great functionality when it works.
It could use a little bit of editing though. Have more than 1 reminder for tests; allow to manually check homework as complete; have page number option when making homework; don't show completed homework on calendar (unless applied in the settings menu that should also be added); allow taking pictures of assignments; allow reoccurring homework; add room number option when making classes; add sync/backup option; and add schedule exceptions. If the creators see this they'll be busy for awhile!
Love how it reminds me but it gets tedious when you are adding in info that is due on the same day every week. Please come out with a way to repeat homework (quiz due every wednesday- weekly) instead of having to input it 30 times.
I use this app primarily for the silence during class function. However, that hasn't been working properly for me. Most the time it's fine. But last few classes it has left the sound on my phone (galaxy s4). I constantly forget to silence my phone and tablet in class so it's nice that it does it for me.
Overall, a good app. Like the input, the formatting. Now it keeps crashing when I try to open it. 2 stars because I can't access my notes for the crashing and midterms are coming up. 4 stars when I can access my notes, 5 when I can sync with google account. Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
I like this app for keeping track of my homework and exam dates, but it would be far better if it gave the option to cross out completed assignments so I can easily see how much is left to do.
One bug I noted is that if you save a note with only a title and no body, the note will be erased. This got me into a bit of trouble when I lost the notes with my class locations... I shouldn't have to put in a body if all the info fits in the title! Also, I wish there were a way to view a day-by-day schedule instead of just listing all your classes. The calendar doesn't show you which classes you have either.
I have a week 1 and week 2 timetable. Please add multiple timetables (per week) Please update to more icons for subjects, the ability to choose your own colours (from colour wheel), and please change the UI for selecting times. It looks outdated and doesn't match the overall design of the app. Also the icon needs a little modernising. Thanks.
Oh. My. God. OK I've been taking notes for at least three of my classes on this app ALL semester and now that is almost time for finals it CRASHES. I thought it was temporary when it started doing it on Tuesday so I just made notes on Google Keep. But it's still doing that. It crashes immediately as soon as i try to open it. There is no option to backup my notes so I never did that from the app and now here I am. PANICKING. HELP. I even tried reporting the issue but it. Just. Doesn't. Work.
It's a great app... WHEN IT'S WORKING... I mean when I want access to my homework, I can't do it because I don't know what pages I was on, and don't have access to my notes.... As I sit here typing this, I am full of frustration, trying to figure out what my homework was....

Classes haven't started for me, but I'm sure this app will save me from a lot of pain. It would be nice if I could also have reminders for when class starts, like a 5-10 minute notification reminder to get to class instead of me having to use an external app to remind me to stop working and get to my next destination.
it is really helpful for all students not to cram and be more organized .. it is amazing ... a quick suggestion tho ... please add "events" on the categories along with test ,homework and notes... also add more colors :) hoping some of suggestion on the next updates
When I go to set a reminder for a test (I didn't check if it was doing this for regular assignments) say I set it to remind me three days before it's due and click save, it automatically reverts the reminder to one day before. I imagine this would be an easy fix if you could look into it!

When I try to open the app it almost always tells me it has stopped working. It will usually open on second try but not today. I may have to find a better one if it doesn't get fixed. Samsung Galaxy S3.
Useful app. A good feature to add is to set the start and end dates of breaks so your phone doesn't silence itself on days you're not in school.
what a useless app it does what you can do on your own.if you cant remember to turn off your ringer then you probally shouldn't have a phone.if you use the ringer allot than b4 going in to the class room then you should with out thinking about it automatically turn of the ringer.and how could you forget when home work is due i don't know about college but highs school and down home work is due the next day.if its really that hard to remember do homework at school then turn it in at school then you have no home work and how do you forget when tests are due you do them at school.you cant take tests at home cause then if you wanted to you could cheat. and there is other ways of saveing notes. the onl useful part is that it helps you find your class rooms if you dont know were the are at for like if you are new.
When I looked for a good school planning app, I saw this one mentioned everywhere, raving at how good it it. And what it has, it does well. However, the fact that I cannot sync it between my tablet and my computer or phone greatly limits its to me. In a world where everything is in the cloud, this app is firmly rooted on the ground without the ability to view the same information on separate devices. Maybe that's only available on Studious+, but otherwise, I have trouble using this app the best of its ability. Edit: I see mention of a Studious+ in how one can support Studious, but that's it. Was it something that the developer closed, or what?
I find the app to be pretty useful and a great way to organize my assignments throughout the quarter. I would love the ability to sync data between multiple devices like my phone, tablet, and maybe even PC. Getting the assignments to show up in my Google calendar, and being able to mark assignments as complete would turn this into an amazing tracker. I would even be willing to pay for a premium version that had done if these additional features..
I love the functionality of this application. It is light, attractive, and helps you remember tests and assignments, so long as YOU remember to add the assignment. I would love a widget but mostly love that it silences my phone for class usually without flaw. Great for college and high-school!
Awesome app! The only thing if missing is a cloud sync for multiple devices.
I love the simplicity of this app. It makes it incredibly easy to use. Other study task trackers have too many functions and become disorganized and confusing so fast. I especially love the calendar. I've never come across anything more functional or aesthetically tasteful in a study planner app. User accounts would be a nice bonus, just to prevent loosing all our entered data. Otherwise I'm thrilled with this app! Minimalism at its finest.
Please add widget with lessons of tomorrow Please keep landscape mode when switching to calendar. Also syncing would be appreciated
It's very useful especaily at the beggining of the semester to remember and check room numbers and class times. I use it to keep track of all of my homework, however it would be very helpful to add a completed option when you finish your work, and then add a past due, and a past completed section. That would make this the best option when it comes to scheduling for classes. Overall I like this app, but there is much more that I can see it being helpful for.
This is a really good app. The only thing that would make it great is when done spending the time setting it up on a tablet or phone, if you could just transfer it over and not have to set it all up again. Very time consuming for multiple devices.
So far I like this school planning app's UI the most but there are a lot of missing feature I am waiting on, like widgets, differentiation of exams and hw in calender mode, more color options, mark as completed, maybe a separate list mode. Keep up the good work and i am anxiously waiting for updates. I hope you'll change your mind about widgets for + members only.

Love this app and how clean it is. However, I think it would get if a feature were added so that you could set a homework assignment to repeat itself for things such as weekly quizzes or weekly homework. Add this and I'll bump it up to five stars
