GDriveSync for Android
I'll post a full review in due course. However, in the meantime, I have a #1 top priority update request please :) I need an option so that during an Upload Only operation, when the app has confirmed that the file has been uploaded successfully, it then automatically deletes the local file. No rush, but this week sometime would be good. Thanks
No access to SD card on Moto X Style, Android 6.0.1. Without it this app is not very useful. Also keeps creating the same backup folder on Drive, sometimes copying all the files again, sometimes some of them.
It is syncing even hidden files also. It would be better if there in an option which excludes files names starts with .
It's working nice for me and do the job what I expected.
Not working
Description
Sync does work, but I have a few folders I set to upload only and I discovered it was not syncing but actually re-uploading every time, so I ended up with four copies of each file after a few days. No good. Just using now for one folder of files that I clean out regularly.
I wanted to backup all Whatsapp data but the app changed the timestamps on all pictures. Now in my Google Photo stream everything is listed as if it was filed, but today in a random order. Thank you very much!
Waste of time! Just when I needed it failed me. Don't bother. All these freaking backup apps... oh it's simple to back up!!! its the RESTORING part they can't do for crap.
Great apps. All other apps have limited folders to sync and limited filesize to sync. This one has no limit.
Update. Still has bugs but mire theb good enough for 1 way sync. (Backup).. The list of folders on my gdrive shown by this app arent actually the same as the folders on my gdrive but if I create the new folder in this app its fine.. The export settings file should go in its own folder not on the root of the SD card so you can setup a back up of the settings for this app.
Great, all the others have file size limitations but this one works brilliantly for all files. Also very simple to use.
No access to SD card on Moto X Style, Android 6.0.1. Without it this app is not very useful.
Had no problems. Backed up Dropbox, and Gdrive no problem.
Now I have no data because this app transferred 1.7GB in one day :(:(:(
Need more options like: 1) Include/exclude specific Wi-Fi networks for sync. 2) Exclude specific folders inside chosen folder.
Interface needs work, only the free version really syncs on wifi only. Pro will burn up data fast--do not use Pro. Syncs all my Helium backup app to Gdrive.
Improvement needed on user interface.
of files uploaded yesterday, though "change file" is selected method. Shows todays date and time on file uploaded yesterday with time spent on similar to initial upload.6
Doesn't work properly. I originally gave this 4 stars, but within a week of using it: it started creating duplicate folders in my GoogleDrive. I now have a dozen instances of all my files in my google drive, each with more files than the last. It appears to create a new folder every time it recognizes changes instead of put the delta inside the same folder.
App does what it says and in my eyes is the best and simplest Google drive sync app but it cannot 2way sync to my SD card. With root access it could and I would be willing to buy the pro version for it.
must download it
Says it uploaded my video but gdrive but it's not there. 2 hours and it still hasn't uploaded it
Wifi only option is pure rubbish. 400mb background data and monthly plan went bye bye.
Interface of out of date. Cannot sync to external SD card, only syncs from external SD card.
THIS APP ONLY WORKS ONE-WAY. YOU CAN ONLY USE THIS APP TO BACKUP YOUR FILES FROM YOUR PHONE TO GOOGLE DRIVE AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. HOW CAN THEY EVEN PUT THE WORD "SYNC" IN THE APP NAME?
Initially couldn't get two-way sync but un- then re-installing now allows syncing to internal memory only, attempting to use external SD Card allows uploading only. "Autosync for Google Drive" does read and write to my SD card. Impressed that developer replied and was willing to help me troubleshoot the problem.
EDIT: Just found out my complaint is due to an OS restriction, so i am giving this app 5 stars dive they cannot help my complaint. /EDIT I saw in the comments that version 2.1 allows you to sync to an SD Card, but it still does not work for me. After creating the sync folder with the target folder on my SD card, the only option is to upload from it - no download or two way sync is available. Please fix and this will be a 5 star app!
This app saved me a ton of work when I lost my SD card. Instead of having to recreate an important database, I just copied the auto-synced file from my gdrive, very glad I have it.
Easy sync between phone folder and GoogleDrive folder. Ideal for photo cloud storage. It would be perfect with Tasker plugin integration.
Perfect for syncing the files with Google drive
Does everything I need. Good job.
It is more useful if the app can view image downloaded in galler app
Gdrive is great for freeing up my phone
No auto sync in this version
Useless app
I have a ton of really large mp4 video files along with several thousand songs that I've been trying to upload to Google Drive. it does alright with most of the music, but when it came to the videos, it wouldn't upload any of them, just created the folder they were in. I needed this app because it goes just the right speed that the people I live with can watch Netflix at the same time as I'm uploading to my drive. If I use Chrome with windows, it utilizes the entire bandwidth and no one can do anything. It also stops syncing if I swipe it away whereas if I swipe a music app away it still plays my music. A pause button would be nice as well as possibly caching the Google Drive folder structure so that if I restart my computer, it does not have to re-check the folder structure again. Over all it is a nice app with great potential, but as all apps, it does needs some work. I'm running this app on Android x86 on my computer in place of Windows or Linux. The whole system is nearly instant.
I downloaded and used this for the first time a few weeks ago. Seemed to work pretty well although I was a little concerned with what seemed like a large number of file backup failures. It also took an awfully long time but I figured that was due to U/L'ing all of the files to G-Drive on the initial sync. App has been updated twice since I used it last. Upon opening and running the app today it seemed very quick to check the local folders/files but it took forever to check the Google Drive files in the backup folder. It was so bad I initially killed it the first time after 10 minutes but decided to just let it run this time and it did finally start uploading. Not sure why it should take so long to check the files on Google Drive but maybe that's just the way it is. True test would be to try and restore everything from a backup. Has anyone done this yet?
Good App

Works great on my Mi Max
