Don't want the NHL App...If I wanted that app I might have installed it. This stinks!!

If I wanted the NHL app I would have downloaded that. This "update" is terrible; they even removed the sound of the horn for when goals are scored! The other app was so well done, why in a million years would you change it? The old app was JLA, and this app is a hot n ready mess.

Would rate it negative stars, if I could. This was a very bad move by the NHL. It seems like all of the team apps have been hijacked by the NHL app. Bruins & Sharks app were DESTROYED too. All now default to the underwhelming NHL app. They went from GREAT to JUNK in one simple update. We'll be uninstalling this & NHL app till they give us back our old apps.

Loved the old app, only Red Wings updates. The NHL takeover is terrible. I really don't care that Edmonton's 4th line center had grilled cheese for breakfast. Also, the got rid of the horn sound from the Joe. Please bring back the old app!

I loved this app. Like all true fans. If I gave 2 s***s about other team news I would have downloaded an nhl app or went to TSN. Then went to update and BOOM! Hijacked by the nhl. Guess I can free up space on my phone for mlive maybe. DELETE

So not only does it not load easily but the NHL has entirely removed my one joy... the goal sirens from the Joe. This thing is garbage and serves as nothing more than bait for NHL streaming services now.

It was great pre update, no this app is useless and not what I originally intended, not to mention the single greatest part about this app was the JLA horn. I am deleting this app, but never the Red Wings from my heart (and phone). Back to the ESPN app. 10/2/2016

Nhl do you want fans or not. Team owners speak up the NHL ruined a good thing for us loyal fans. Oh my god they are stupid. Guess what no team website or app. Fans are going to miss watching games and lose interest. Cant find game schedule or team news easily, viewers decline, revenue declines. Your always trying to increase viewers, not with a move like this.

Like everyone else, I hate that the awesome Red Wings app is now a glorified shortcut to the NHL app. No more awesome notification sounds and I need to use the terrible NHL app. I'd give this 0 stars if I could.

This new update is the stupidest thing ever. The old app was SO much better. I don't care about the other teams. ALL OF US OBVIOUSLY WANT THE OLD APP BACK!

Miss my red wing0s app. This one is not what i had and enjoyed last season. If i cared for nhl app i would have gotten it. I actually remember passing over before downloading red wings mobile. This sucks

I hate this new NHL crap. Give back my red wings app I miss my goal buzzer. Now I can't tell if I got a text or if the game started! If I cared to know about other teams I would downloaded the NHL app. I want it back now! I demand it!

I couldn't help but notice that most of the 5 star ratings were for older versions, and most of the newest reviews were 1 star. I didn't have the older version that everyone seems to think was better, but if my 1 star rating can help bring back the older version that wasn't basically the NHL app with different colors, then I will do my part.

If I wanted to use the NHL app on a frequent basis i would have. The old app was useful and showed Redwings only content. Also, with the App update/grade there is no more scoreboard widget.....Again....I have the NHL for the OTHER games.

The new app launches the NHL app. Last year the Redwings app was easy to navigate. Now you have the NHL site not the Redwings site. This is a giant leap backwards. Hard to navagate, have to go through the BS of Nava gating through the other games and teams. Love the Wings but i am deleting this waste of an app.

Was a great well organized app when was for just the Redwings. Now that the NHL has sold out to MLB tv first Web based app was ruined now the mobile app is too. Is poorly organized hard to find things notifications are generic; loved goal horn on the old app for a Detroit goal. Going to delete and go elsewhere for Redwings information

After the update, it's not even an app anymore. When I could open it, it would just send me to the NHL app. Now I can't even open it. I loved this app sooo much because it gave me everything Red Wings that I needed and wanted. Now it's useless. Unfortunately I'm deleting this app now. Today is a sad day.

I hate the NHL app. I want the "hey hey hockeytown" at the start of a game and the JLA horn on goals. I want to easily see Red Wings info, not league-wide. This app was nearly perfect. Now, it's garbage. Look at how the ratings have changed since your "upgrade" and bring back the app we all loved!

It is just a launcher for the NHL app now. All the things you loved about the former versions ("Hey Hey, Hockeytown!", the JLA goal horn, the specialized stats) have been stripped. I didn't need a glorified shortcut to the NHL app. If you have the NHL app, you don't need this.

Why update something that didn't need to be fixed?! I already have the NHL to follow other teams, I don't need a second NHL app. The goalhorn sound was the best part of knowing your team but the biscuit in the basket! I'm terribly disappointed.

I loved this app prior to being forced into using the NHL app. The NHL app crashes repeatedly. This week my phone informed me I had 17 issues with the app. It takes up far more space then necessary. Consiatsntly drains my power, and triggers power drain alerts on my phone.

10/1/16. Thanks for selling out. If I wanted to use the NHL app, then I would use the NHL app. I liked the Red Wings app because it was strictly Red Wings. I liked the notification tones and the widget. I don't like navigating the NHL app and all the other garbage I get instead of just Red Wings. Thanks, but no thanks.

This was a great app. Five stars great, in fact. The key word is "was." I got all Red Wings news and scores without needing to root through news and scores of other teams. Just straight Red Wings. With this latest update, I get an all NHL app. This app was uninstalled. Monumental failure.

NHL sucks. How are we supposed to usw the app to upgrade tickets while at the games now? This is terrible. No point to even have this app now.

Biggest disappointment is losing the notifications when game starts, period start and ends and the sound of the famous horn when the Wings score! The new update looks nice but it doesn't give the fans what it used to. Please fix whatever needs to be done- bc I feel like NOW it's broken...

Its a free app, didnt have any expectation to this, but, even with no expectation i get let down. Loved the Hey Hey Hockeytown for a game start alert and the famous goal horn used at jla to sound off from a detroit goal. Having the widget scorebaord helped me with dates and times of the next game and for the whole season. That has all been ruined now. A complete waste of an update. Not only is this teams app ruined but all 30 teams apps are now ruined.

Why do you have to go and mess up something that was really great for your individual team?! I want my Hey Hey Hockeytown before the games and the JLA horn! Uninstalling this STUPID nhl app! Bring back the old!!

This app was amazing, even sounded the Red Wings horn on goals, NHL gobbled it up and turned it into a less-fun advertisement for NHL.tv. Please revert because this is depressing.

Thanks for screwing up something that worked just fine, only to try and force people to buy the pointless NHL app. Complete garbage!

I'm terribly disappointed in the update. I'd say it's more like a downgrade. I had everything I wanted with the original app. The sound effects are gone, my beautiful Red wings widget, the news page...all gone. I'm very unhappy

This app was wonderful as a stand-alone app. It had everything I needed, and was clean and easy to use. Now it's just a link to the NHL app, which is crap. I don't get the notifications I want, info is hard to find and mostly unhelpful, and I miss the Red Wings sound effects from the stand-alone app.

You ruined something that was once very great. I don't want an NHL app, I wanted an app specifically dedicated for the team I follow. The scoreboard widget, the most useful feature for me, is now gone. What a shame.

Hate this upgrade. We no longer get the horn when scoring or any of the other sound effects. Please bring our Red Wings hey hey hockeytown back!

App is ruined. Anything associated with NHL/Gary Butt Man is screwed up. I want the RW horn back. I would venture a guess that that the high percentage of 5 Stars were before the NHL intrusion.

As others mentioned, if I wanted the NHL app, I would have downloaded that app. Put the Red Wings app back and get rid of this horrible update!

I loved the sound bytes to let me know when the puck was being dropped, a goal was scored and the end of a period. This new format might be ok visually, but I want the sounds of The Joe back!!

All this is now is a link to the red wings section of the official NHL app, it is no longer a dedicated Red Wings app, and it no longer comes with the Red Wings widget. There is no point to this app anymore, just download the NHL app because it's the same thing.

Just launches the nhl app. Which is terrible ... no horn anymore. Sellouts. No-one will even respond to these terrible reviews

The Red Wings app used to be awesome. The NHL app is awful to say the least. Always notifying me about other teams, even though I didn't select them. Also, the app has used over 500mb of data within a week. Mind you, my phone is on wifi 80% of my day. I will be uninstalling it.

The NHL app is too cumbersome for what I need. You gave me exactly what I wanted... And now, you are gone. Shame on the NHL for destroying a perfectly good app.
