l était une fois une maman cane très gentille qui venait de pondre des œufs. C’était l’été, maman cane, assise là sur son nid, couvait consciencieusement ses canetons.

Pourtant elle commençait à en avoir assez, car cela durait depuis quelque temps déjà. Soudain les oeufs craquèrent et les oisillons brisèrent leur coquille en sortant la tête l’un après l’autre.

Cependant, un oeuf ne voulait pas se percer ; c’était le plus gros d’entre tous. La cane soupira et se résigna à attendre. Elle se recoucha pour tenir cet oeuf bien au chaud sous son ventre.
