Y-cam for Android
Brings up the live views fairly quickly, but you need a 4G or wifi connection. Works perfectly OK when I'm out and about and the location triggered motion recording works most of the time. Just the odd occasion where it fails to set/unset but the next day works OK.
The Evo started off very well. Easy to set up but then it started misbehaving and is now not working properly after just a couple of days. The cloud is impossibly slow and it just seems unreliable. SO frustrating for something that seemed so good.
Evo camera has stopped working. No live streaming from One of my cameras. Almost impossible to configure Evo cameras with the Android app.. When cameras are working web streaming is incredibly slow even though I have a 10pmb pipe at home. So disappointing as my older ycam cameras continue to work after a fashion. Looks like ycam killed their flagship camera!
New update is worse than the last (who would have thought that possible) App now freezes when accessing live stream. If you're thinking of purchasing a Y Cam product, take my advice... DON'T!! Customer service and technical support are horrendous. Also don't believe the four star reviews added by the app developer.
Wish I could give this app 0 stars! Only reason it gets one star is because it gives me notification when there is movement. But when I open the app I can see the camera view, clicking on the camera to watch recorded videos, or live view and the App immediately shuts down! I have a new Samsung phone with the latest software and the App I am using is the latest version. Over the last 3 - 4 weeks I have contacted customer support several times via email and phone messages, so far NOT a single respond from Y-Cam. The IOS version of the App works fine on my old iPhone 5. All in all, with the horrible, or non existing, customer support, and useless App. The cameras are totally unfit as security for your home!
Too unstable to use as a security solution. Location recording still only works about 25% of the time, despite recent updates. Fed up with it to be honest.
Always having problems with cameras connecting and streaming video.. I have been resetting and reinstalling on a weekly basis.. annoying and time consuming.. Will consider returning them for a refund if problems continue
DID WORK WELL. BUT now it continually provides inconsistent video. Occasionally check what's happening on the camera, it's complete luck of the draw if it connects to a live feed. I see in my activity there have been no recordings for hours where normally it records activity all the time due to lots of motion outside my property, but again it's just luck of the draw if I've received an offline notification. If I switched the camera power off and on again it starts to work again, recording activity and connecting to the live feed in a reasonable time, until the next time. This as been going on continually for weeks now. NOT A VERY GOOD OR USEFUL SECURITY PRODUCT AT THIS RATE.
Won't buy another ! This one's been back to base because of live feed not working got it back a week or two later and now motion detection not working 20% of the time we can drive out of the drive in front of the camera and it doesn't even record it. Good point is customer services do respond to emails.
Live video never starts and fails on my Galaxy S8. App crashes and has to restart. Works great on my iPhone 7+
App now crashes every time you try to view cam. Used to work great before update.
Wow, i dont know what ya'll updated but suddenly the app is running lightening quick and everything is functioning as one would expect.Galaxy S6 - thanks for fixing!
Keeps crashing on Moto X. Unusable camera. Customer service is useless. Moving on to the next. RIP Y-cam.
Working well for me. Was expecting it to not work given some of the reviews but no issues so far at 1 months use with two indoor Evo cams

Can't complain. Easy to install. Easy to config and add components as needed. From your phone access. Decent.

Great app great value
App and camera's are ok. But it takes too long to connect to live camera once alerted of a problem..can take anywhere between 10 seconds to 3 mins of trying to connect..very slow and inconsistent. It doesn't matter if ur on wifi or 4G. If this can be solved then probably 4 star..5 star if you integrate your protection system with cameras.
The app is so poor. It won't even complete setup, it's that slow. I own cameras from 3 other manufacturers which work like a dream. Thought I'd try this one for the app and the 7 days recording. It is ridiculously bad. Bought today, returning tomorrow. Seriously, how can you get consistently appaling reviews for months and not do anything about it?? Have you even tried to use your own product?
Good quality image & handles night light levels fine. However, it goes offline or the image freezes three times an hour on average, and only acknowledges it's gone offline one out of 6 times. There is also a 30-second delay, which is too long.
Really bad system all around. 20% of the time cameras can't be viewed live as the only thing I can guess is the servers used are not able to handle the load. And even when it can connect the app experience is atrocious to respond anything! Stay away from this product!!!
Camera is good. Night vision is good. Takes too long to connect - about 30 seconds. Motion detection either detects everything from rain drops if you set sensitivity high enough to detect people or nothing if you set sensitivity low enough to ignore the rain. Really could do with better motion detection algorithm and sorry out the latency... would give 5 *.
Update: bought this for peace of mind but now it's showing a blank screen so i have to travel back home I to see what's going on. Really annoyed. Earlier review -Great niggling faults and UI shortcomings. The camera keeps recording after I've got home, and - stupidly - there's no way to mass delete these pointless recordings - you have to arduously go through and delete every recording individually.
Every single day I see the red led flashing despite rock solid connections, the location never detects when I return and it never sends notifications when it detects movements. I'm now moving over to Nest Cam as I'd rather pay a subscription for a service that works than use a free service that doesn't.
Freezes some times. The Bluetooth is always broadcasting so other devices see the device at all times. Should be able to control the broadcasting via the web.
The camera triggers itself when it changes from day to night and back. Means you get two emails/push notifications a day for no reason.
App crashes a lot. Camera feed is super slow to load evev with fast internet connection.
this thing used to work ok (many updates ago), was not thrilled it used to take like 30 sec to connect if I wanted to see who was at the door....now thanks to the great app development team it doesn't connect at all or I just quit before it does...you guys should just start over, thanks for ruining it for everyone update: still doesn't connect after new update, and replying to me to waste more time to contact support is dumb....it's your development issue, not mine...the camera otherwise is working
Its ok but seems turning on infrared causes camera to detect false motion . Too long time for connecting if a motion is detected but could of cause be internet problem.
Bought two cameras. The switch over to night vision worked but doesn't switch back to colour in the morning daylight. The cameras are not able to keep up with movement on live and recorded images. Movement shows as ghosted image and is 'jerky, where a person appears to invisibly jump around the room. This shows in the recordings too. Time to connect to live viewing whether using Wi-Fi or 4G is erratic. Sometimes immediate, sometimes takes minutes or not at all. No indication as to how far away from the camera installation position you have to be for the location feature to work. Have disabled this feature as difficult to test which means dozens of videos to be deleted daily. Downloaded a test video. Cannot open on a laptop or PC. Says no media to view it?? Well, What media player does it need? Says cloud records 7-days of video but not specific. Do all videos get wiped each week or is it a rolling overwrite of the first recorded videos? So, if you are away for two weeks, Will you lose a potentially important video made in week one? Is the location feature via internet or GPS or a mixture of both?
Yes it gives you access but our could be so much better. It takes ages to connect, you cant change the schedule with the app and it pushes an alert to your phone and then does not display it!! This could be so much better
LG G4. Android 6. App crashes as soon as you run it. Clearly these guys have no idea how to support Android.
Terrible cloud performance. Unusable service. Effectively useless.
It takes too many clicks to arm or disarm. quite a few time takes forever to view camrea.
It's a useless app and camera.. worked for a day and then did not record upload when it mattered
Good camera , takes a little time to get pictures , had a slight problem with getting it in remote mode ,but it is working great now and good pictures .

The app is perfect. Your cam catches movement and records it including a few seconds beforehand. You can watch it online even with poor Internet. Set up push notification or check whenever convenient to open the app. My only problem is the movement doesn't mean heat movement like PIR do. Even bigger fly in front of the lens triggers the recording. Though I may need to work on the sensitivity again, it's adjustable. After all I do recommend it!
