tramTRACKER for Android
Used to display arrival times for the whole journey, now it cuts short (86 line)
*high battery use when not in use. *does not advise if trams are cancelled. *application should be integrated with PTV application rather than having 2 applications to check public transport journey routes and delays. *there have been times at stations whereby tram waiting periods have shown as 20 minutes though the actual tram is there waiting at the front of the station. Makes it difficult to decide as to whether to ruin for the tram or take another route. Please fix.
This app used to work pretty well, now if I'm lucky enough to get past the home screen, all I see is loading please wait. I also Uninstalled and reinstalled as I thought that would fix it and I've now lost all my favourites
It would be more useful spending the time walking to a tram stop and seeing the live timetable. The app doesn't load at work. What happened Yarra trams? This app used to be so good and very useful
Not sure what has happened but as of late this app has stopped working. The app is stuck with Loading. Please Wait message on the home screen. Dissapointing that neither the actual service or this app is reliable
"Real time" data is highly inaccurate. Makes it very hard to plan trips. Surely wireless systems would allow for more accurate data capture!?
Terrible app - completely inaccurate times, you're better off not using it, just go to your nearest tram stop and hope for the best. Not surprising that a terrible public transport network like Melbourne has equally poor apps.
Absolutely useless, don't even bother with this one. I've used on 2 different models and 2 different service providers and it's useless on both.
I think this app is pretty good - I'm guessing this draws from the information that the operations centre gets from the trams themselves? It can be a bit buggy on startup every so often, but usually loads (mine defaults to nearby stops, 'nuff said) Perhaps if there was a way to have the service changes like the ones on the Twitter feed as push notifications on the phone itself, and having the option for the widget to display the nearest stop would be awesome! :)
It is no longer a useful apps. It did not keep itself up-to-date with Android OS. It cannot get installed. On some OS where it gets installed it runs no more
Everytime i go into the app to see how long my tram has, it shows me a different figure (despite it being all within a few seconds). 10 minutes to 5 minutea to 3 minutes to 6 minutes.... very inaccurate!
Did work well but a recent update causes it to take an extremely long time to load team times if at all. Current version is useless
I can't even open it. It crashes every time. I tried installing it multiple times, but it's just so buggy.
Came here for a holiday and didnt know where to go. Thankfully tramTRACKER helped me!
Slow and keeps showing loading please wait.
Used to work okay but now just sits on the loading screen for hours - completely useless.
Did you delete the 'Add to Favourites' option?! Proving so hard to do that simple task.
Very hard to understand. Overwhelming interface. Which direction will the tram be going? Unpleasant to use.
App crashes half the time, keeps saying the phone GPS is inaccurate.
No App will work if tram doesn't operate on time
Does not show live tram tracking
Not accurate or even close
After watching the youtube video review of the tramtracker i was very excited to install it and so was my wife
By the time you finish waiting for the timetable to load you've probably already missed your tram (as is what happened to me this morning).
This is a must have for traveling around Melbourne.
Why does this app now require the 'identity' permission? Won't be updating
All I see is loading, it no longer loads tram stops nearby.
No move to SD card option?
Great app-very accurate
Completely inaccurate.
Completely inaccurate
Horribly innacurate
Tramtracker
Decent
New tramtracker keeps the 4 year old Cupcake user interface with the slide-up drawer yet brings in annoying ads (they have tracking URLs, they are ads) Then it repeatedly bugs you to do the tutorial endlessly. Good thing I saved the old APK!
I used Tramtracker for years but recently they sneakily introduced adds plus it started to auto run in the background (without me launching... like it's become malware) and on top of that it's now crashing all the time. I've now switched to the PTV app which is MUCH better - has journey planner, all forms of public transport, all trams nearby in the next 5 mins and no sneaky adds. Strongly recommend the PTV app instead of this. Goodbye Tramtracker you blew it!
This app can be useful for showing nearby stops and some tram info but real time info needs improvement as often shows wrong timings or trams that have just left
Haven't had a problem with this yet, Give it another year if it's still good you can have my 5 stars
It keeps telling me the tram i catch in the morning is running extremely early so i run down to the stop, when i get there and check again it says i have to wait another 12 minutes or somthing before it comes. It also has saved a tram stop i rarely use as the go to one when opening the app when i catch the tram going the other way on the other side of the road. You also cant rename tram stops or un add them to your favourites

For me this app is really useful, since when I'm getting ready I know what time exactly I need to go out and get the tram. Have potential to be better and maybe integrate Train and busses schedules.
