Our Blue Security Mobile App, when installed on your smartphone, pinpoints your precise location - whether you are at the beach, out jogging, or hiking in a park - the moment you activate it in an emergency. Our state-of-the-art control centre receives the signal and makes contact with you to determine the type of emergency. We can then activate a range of emergency responses, from our own armed response officers in our operational areas, to ambulance services, the SAPS and roadside assistance services.
But our app is more than just a panic alert button. It also places control of your home or business security firmly in your hands through your mobile phone, as it will receive instant notifications of activity on your alarm system whether you may be at work, home or out playing.

I have had the opportunity of having to use this app in an emergency. Although there can be an improvement on response from call center, they were able to assist and despatch required services. Setup of system can be frustrating if you do not follow the instructions to the letter.

Went through the whole schlep so I am disappointed that after getting the activation call from blue, it still does not work. 1. It cannot see that gps is in fact active. 2. Logged a technical incident via the app as advised by Linda, and one week later nobody has gotten back to be. Also CAUTION: be aware that your cell panic is deactivated once you install this app (the call agent Linda advised me so). So in fact I no longer have the cell panic. Instead I have an app that does not work as a panic button.

Installation is frustrating, I had to enter all my details twice because it get's wiped when the pop-up keyboard covers the text boxes. There is a lot to read and understand and it's not clear, but it seems that they debit your account for each user. Nothing is clear. I don't think anyone can read and understand the whole legal contract that you have to accept. After messing around with it for an hour, I just wanted to uninstall. There are other much better applications that send emergency messages. I noticed that the other Oryx application also has bad reviews and ratings.

WARNING: This is not a free app!! It does not work as advertised! There is an an "in-app purchase" requirement: After you download, install and configure it, it will not work, unless one of their consultants calls you back ... advising you that you have to pay a monthly fee (unless you are a primary contact).

As great as this idea is. It should be free for customers... Value adds are meant to pull more customers in because you offer something no one else does. Not milk more money from them.
