'Click to Symbols' app allows fastly inserting lots of different special chars to your messages everywhere. Just open the app and select a symbol - it will be automatically copied to the clipboard. App can be attached to the system bar or to the search key. Simeji is also supported. Less clicks, more convenient!
P.S.: there's also a huge char tables, you can enable it in the settings. Some chars in these tables aren't supported by all Android phones. Some custom ROMs, such as MIUI, can display its.

wifey and i run a page on facebook and we use hashtags when posting. she loves using stars and symbols and this is the perfect app for doing just that. the only thing keeping this app from 5 stars is the fact that there's a constant notification in the pulldown menu for the app to select an icon.

Has more symbols than you get on s3. Easy to use but they need to extend the range of symbols hence only 3☆
