Yale Look for Android
Cannot view events since 6th Nov 2017. Only notification is received. Now i cannot answer when door is pressed too. Is there a problem with the yale cloud service? Please fix it immediately. The events are saved to sd card just not able to view remote when notifications is received. My friend who has the same viewer also face the same problem. Update 11 Dec 2017: Was able to view events after 15 Nov.
Yale Lock really sucks! Thought this is a good brand but it really sucks. I got 3 items from Yale. 1) Yale Lock. - tried afew times to pair it, it doesnt work. - after that, able to pair but no recording received even there is notifications shown. 2) Yale Gate Lock. - the fingerprint is not good. scan it so many times, it will say fingerprint not registered or just unable to unlock. As for the wooden door, currently not an issue yet.
Almost forgot, most annoying issue is that the app constantly prompts you to log back in! Not ideal when you're receiving a doorbell ring notification ???? and you miss out on who was at the door???? smFH
Just installed the app and the door viewer itself. Tried a few times to connect the viewer to my home wifi using a Google Pixel XL. In the end, managed to connect with Nexus 5. Setting for the device: there is no option for the on-screen duration once the physical button (screen module) is pressed. And the annoying notification when that button is pressed. There is no distinction for the notification for which button is pressed, whether if it's the doorbell button or the screen module button.
it worked ok for about two weeks, then suddenly no image recording sent to the app though there were notifications. tried reinstalling the app, reset the viewer device, but failed all times adding the device to this app, all I got was a pop up message that the app could hear the device but no event downloaded. app still could not have device added. PLEASE fix the problem. update : managed to add device to the app, ,but could not download or record event in the app, pls fix the problem.
Very bad. I have added a device and still, it is not found on my app.... Kindly assist as when there is doorbell ring or motion I get alerts but I cannot customise the settings
It seems to me that there's a limit in the no. of recordings the app can display. Over time i realized that I'm no longer able to view the recent recordings in the app, even though I'm sure that they are recorded and saved in the SD card. Only when I delete old recordings, then the newer recordings will start to appear in the app. Please fix. I've barely used 0.5GB of my SD card, with only about a week's worth of recordings and the problem happens
Tried to set up the camera software all night. Never worked. Never saw the network to connect to. I had two distinct red and blue lights for pairing when I first put the battery in. After that a redish blue light. Crappy software and setup. The connection on the camera and viewer is crappy too. This will be my first return to Amazon and my review there will be the same!!! After note:This product was rushed to market and was not thoroughly tested prior to offering it for sale. I found that to get back online after the battery is removed you have to uninstall and reinstall the app. too many flaws to be on the market.
When device is offline, there is nothing in Settings/Network to activate or reconnect the smartphone to the door viewer. Is this app the latest? If not please improve on it to make it user-friendly so that we do not have to reset it each time it goes offline suddenly. In resetting all earlier recordings are lost.
Server keeps downtime. Work awhile then now down again.. not worth getting
Almost all of the settings require application restart. Camera calibration should atleast be live. Motion capture should have a schedule. The device is overall ok but the software is a total let down.
It would be nice if you could activate the camera from your phone for a live image (peace of mind, security check, etc.). Only pushing the button inside or doorbell outside or motion activates.
Had a hard time trying to add the device to the app. Super lousy device and software. Recently I receive notifications but no recording. Super bad experience
Totally disappointed with this product, keep on having issues to connect the wifi to the unit! Follow the instructions on the menu and it's not work!
Since January 2018, we did not received notification. We have been told by Yale Lock in Facebook to uninstall, reset the machine and installed back. It still cannot work, keep mentioning waiting on your first event and the device keep blinking pink. We should have get other brand instead of Yale.
Was working for a while and then notification stopped. Try to reset app a few times but can't get it to work. Email to Yale twice, no reply. Still waiting.
Please improve the apps by allow user to view their door step through the mobile anytime. In my case, most of time unable answering fast while the bell is pressed.
Easy to set up and easy to use. Price and result are reasonable.
Poor app performance, no custom notification sounds, doesnt record long enough, randomly signs me out for no reason, terrible UX

During my first install set up i was be able to see my look device in my account but it suddenly missing. Now, i have been trying for 2 days trying to add the device but no success. My husband sent email to feed back but until now no reply Update on 1feb2018: I sent an email to tech support 6 days ago. No reply till now.
