About Yale Assure Lock

**Only works with the Yale Real Living Assure Lock with Bluetooth (YRD446)**

Lose Your Keys. For Good. Secure your home with the Yale Assure Lock with

Bluetooth and you'll never have to worry again about carrying around house

keys, lending keys to the dog walker or rekeying your lock again. Using the Yale

Assure Lock app, manage access to your home right from your smart phone and

experience the ultimate convenience of locking and unlocking your home with

just a tap.

Features:

- Lock and unlock your home by twisting your phone 90-degrees and tapping the

keypad or by using your unique 4-8 digit pin code.

- For increased security, Twist & Go requires digital keys users to twist their

smartphone 90 degrees prior to touching the keypad in order to unlock. This

helps to prevent unintended unlocking that may occur with other Bluetooth locks

(i.e. if your phone is just inside your door, an intruder could tap the keypad and

enter your home.)

- Share digital keys with friends and family from wherever you are. You can

choose to set access schedules for individual keys or create permanent keys.

The app comes with 5 free digital keys. Additional keys can be purchased for

$1.99 within the app.

- Create up to 12 unique, 4-8 digit pin codes that can be used with the lock's

touchscreen keypad. These codes can easily be changed or deleted within your

app.

- Receive access notifications when a digital key user unlocks the door, even

when you're not home.

- View access history at any time to see who unlocked your home, and when,

using their digital key.

- Customize lock settings such as volume, language, auto relock time, tamper

alarms, operating mode (standard, vacation or privacy), one-touch locking and

the LED indicator.

- View battery status and receive low battery notifications.

- Personalize your app experience with photos and names for your locks and

users.

- Manage multiple homes and Assure locks, all from one app.

Upgrade Your Assure Lock with Z-Wave or ZigBee

- Integrate your Assure Lock with Bluetooth into your smart home system, such

as SmartThings, with a Yale Network Module, available at Yale2You.com.

*Features may vary based on integration platform.

What are users saying about Yale Assure Lock

H70%
by H####:

Great app and lock. Minor issue on set which i think was my mistake and then works really well. I have shared keys with my cleaner which is great!

Y70%
by Y####:

Got it working but I'm afraid it's really just not a nice app to use. Far from intuitive. Needs to be redesigned - in consultation with a large base of users. So much potential as it's a great lock!

C70%
by C####:

Useless and uninformative. As a selling feature for this expensive lock should be seamless and reliable

T70%
by T####:

Trash app. Syncs, but twist and unlock do not work. Lack of updates. Do better, Yale.

B70%
by B####:

Piece of junk. Won't register the lock. What a waste of time.

C70%
by C####:

Can't tilt phone to unlock door still.

C70%
by C####:

Non-intuitive

A70%
by A####:

Useless app. Using galaxy s6, with most updated version of app. Syncs to to lock but twist and go feature does not work. The mobile app is useless. Tech support is not helpful. Next time I will get kwikset smart lock instead. Please fix your app. Absolutely terrible.

C70%
by C####:

I've tried to used the app in the morning and I can't figure out how to make it work. I understand that I need to contact support but I think you guys need to redesign this app so not every customer have to pick up the phone for assistant unless your company has full customer service resources.

C70%
by C####:

Your lock is junk, your app is garbage. I'm removing this lock and I'm going to rent a wood chipper and this pile of poo is getting shredded. Don't tell me to contact customer support either. The lock will be beyond repair in the next couple hours. No it's not worth contacting customer support. They're probably just as useless as this highly rated app. Got a keypad installed by a local security company and I couldn't be happier. Got laughed at when they saw the Yale lock. Even they think it's useless.

W70%
by W####:

If you want to waste time like me try this out Application will show you a long animation every time you try to use it then connection will fail. When calling customer support you spend more time and they ask you to tear the product apart because what is printed on the box does not offer enough information. Did that just to confirm that the model on the box matches the hidden label. After another 20 min of removing batteries, the occlusion is the lock is faulty and I should exchange it

N70%
by N####:

Went to add a code for a new roommate and the app won't connect to the lock, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and now I can't even login. Tried resetting my password and resending confirmation email. Website days I can login, but the app just says invalid login. The lock may be decent, but the app is junk.

K70%
by K####:

Wow please make this app work. Why Can't I unlock it remotely from my phone? The twist unlock is a failure. Please fix this app

C70%
by C####:

Just awful... if the app feature is important to you, just don't bother with this.

C70%
by C####:

I honestly can not understand how this app was so badly implemented. It gives almost no control to the user. If they want to unlock the door without using a twist and go feature that doesn't even work half the time, why can't they be given the option to disable that with a warning or something? As far as I can tell the hardware seems great and it is the app itself that is GREATLY holding this already over priced product back. Hire new software developers or something to make a functional app. The fact that you had to add a tutorial on how to do the twist should be a red flag in and of itself!!! Paying for extra digital keys is a bit underhanded as well, considering how much this product already costs. I can't imagine I will ever buy more than the free ones that are given to me anyway. If it did not include the 5 free digital keys, then I more than likely would not have even given this product a chance in hell, even if I would never have used a single key. Sometimes I pass on a product out of principle. If a company is charging for things that cost them almost nothing to offer, I am hesitant to buy anything from such a company.

C70%
by C####:

Awful. Keeps force closing on Nexus 6p running Android 8.0

N70%
by N####:

This lock is garbage, won't connect to my S7

B70%
by B####:

This app will not connect to the lock.

H70%
by H####:

Doesnt work

C70%
by C####:

Never worked for me.

C70%
by C####:

Great idea, a lock that does not need physical key. However, this lacks the functionality one would expect with a $200 lock. Something tells me, it's a matter of time Google comes out with a similar product that actually works with Bluetooth. So far, the lock is cool, but I can open and close the lock using my phone!.. which defeats a major purpose of having a 'smart' lock

Y70%
by Y####:

Add a lock and it seems to use up a key. I have 5 locks but they only give you 4 keys... I just want one key but use it with 5 locks.

L70%
by L####:

Been trying to link bluetooth for over an hour and no luck? Being that I am a Journeyman Instrumentation and Journeyman Electrician I know how to install and program just about anything, except this garbage....

C70%
by C####:

Don't install this after hours or on weekends when tech support is closed. So far, it simply doesn't work. The open by phone via Bluetooth just doesn't work. Keeps setting up keys but none function. Very unintuitive and frustrating.

L70%
by L####:

Very frustrating app. I successfully registered 2 of my 3 locks, but cannot get the 3rd done. The lock says, "lock registered," but the app reads "failed to register." Now the app tells me I've used all the free keys and wants me to pay for more. Bottom line is I love the locks, but find the app to be relatively useless. That's a shame because it has great potential. I haven't tried to create temporary codes for guests, etc, but based on other reviews that's not as easy as it could be either as it still requires physical entries into the keypad. I recommend the locks, but don't waste your time with the app until they improve it.

C70%
by C####:

Up from one star to three stars because the app performance is significantly better. There is no more lag between screens. However, the usefulness of the app remains questionable. For example, user code management cannot be performed entirely within the app. Yes you can define new user codes within the app. but then you have to take your phone, walk over to the lock, and mash some buttons on the lock in order for the user codes to be transmitted from the app to the lock, and even this can be unpredictable. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and you have to try several times. I could go on but I think this is enough. I would still question whether you want to buy the Bluetooth model especially if you're going to invest in making it integrate with a Smart Hub where most of these things can be accomplished without the Bluetooth model. Then you may be better off getting a previous version without Bluetooth.

C70%
by C####:

Won't even find my lock. So far, useless. I would give it 0 stars if I could. *Update* Spoke with CS at Yale. Couldn't help. Said they would call back, 5 days later never have. It finally synced to my phone out of nowhere. Now it thinks my wife is the primary key owner. App crashes when I try and transfer owner. Also, you can't lock or unlock with your phone without additional home automation hardware. Very misleading. I will be returning to Sam's and waiting for the Linus to use with Nest. Hopefully it will work. This app is terrible. Even the CS rep admitted it. Get it together Yale!

K70%
by K####:

I agree with all those who gave it a 1 star. It's a horrible app. Slow to load, to switch between wondows, won't even connect with my lock and useless to me. ( And I bought the lock presumably for the convenience of the app.) If I'd known the app sucks, I would have never gotten the lock. Some huge programmer work is required if the company wants to succeed with the competition in the market.

M70%
by M####:

App loads faster now, but not able to remove users...why?!

C70%
by C####:

Dosent work with Doorman V2

S70%
by S####:

The app is one of the worst apps I've ever seen. It takes 15 Seconds to load every single time you touch anything. It doesn't pair with the lock at all and just gives an error. It will say it's paired and then give an error and never work. If you try to remove it and re-add it then it consumes another digital key. So everytime you get an error pairing it effectively deletes one of your 5 keys. When you run out you have to pay $2.50 for more keys. The app doesn't work at all. It's a scam product.

Z70%
by Z####:

Not practical the app is too slow to use in normal everyday life the company should try to fix the app to run more smoothly I have a new phone and I still get super long wait times to do anything.

K70%
by K####:

Sloooooooooow. Completely impractical. The app takes forever and ever and ever and ever to load. So far I have not been able to get the digital key to work. It is much faster to punch in your code on the lock. If you have not bought your lock yet, save your self some money and don't buy the model with Bluetooth. Did I mention how slow and useless this app is?

S70%
by S####:

The APP is always Sloooooow, looooooooding, eooooooooorr. Hooooooorible. Completely no use. I spent more than $200 bought the Yale lock with Bluetooth, without this app, it just like one $50 digital lock. totally no use.....

H70%
by H####:

Cant get Bluetooth to work. Called support but still no luck. Also drains my battery

B70%
by B####:

App loads wayyyyyyyyyyyy too slow

U70%
by U####:

Dreadful! Incredibly slow loading on EVERY screen switch. Not easy to add/invite new users. You Shouldn't have to have the app open to unlock the door, not at all practical for every day use. Likely returning lock.

S70%
by S####:

Its a great idea if it would work. The app key works when it wants. The app disconnects all the time. These locks are expensive the app should work. Im deleting the app you don't need it. You can do everything on the deadbolt.

U70%
by U####:

Slow loading between each selection...literally 5-8 seconds every time you select something. That doesn't sound like a problem, but when you are troubleshooting, that's an eternity each time you press the wrong button or are figuring things out. More importantly, it's dreadfully designed and not intuitive. I have it all setup but still can't get it to work completely properly. I'm a tech savy guy and this is giving me a hard time. It's funny...I can't get their lock to work absolutely correctly on their own app, but I've got it working nicely with Samsung's SmartThings Hub.

S70%
by S####:

Not sure if other users are setting it up correctly, mine works great with my phone app and my Samsung Gear S2. I can't wait to receive my Samsung Gear S3 so I can test it on the new watch......
