Yahoo Weather

I really like this app, it works well and it's easy to use and understand - and also gives multiple whether systems of different countries, which is really very useful to me. I've only given 4 stars because it doesn't work offline, but in actual fact it deserves 5 stars. Please fix it to work offline also and i promise you'll always get 5 stars from me then. My only complaint is that this app doesn't work offline, can you please make it to work off line please. And also, I am sick of it constantly asking for location, and you please just let it accept the location it is told and stop demanding my location all the time, thank you.

Been using this app for about 3 years on iOS and Android. It's one of the most accurate I've used, and it has just enough details. I also like the weather animations when it rains or snows, sunlight. I don't mind the ads, they take up very little space and aren't intrusive. You can also use it as a widget. Very dependable weather reports.

This is my favorite weather app. ..not just the very accurate temperature and rain predictions, but the sun rise and set arch, I never miss one.. and the moon phases has become a necessity.. and the wind, I look at it before I shake my rugs. Great App!

OK here is why you only get one star - the app only works in PORTRAIT !!!! Alot of people have tablets and keep them in landscape mode all the time especially if you have an external keyboard. I have not found any other app that does nor open in landscape,,, just this one !!! Once this is fixed I'll be happy to re-star my review.

Really good free app but the ads are mostly scams like "get rich quick" and such. It is a shame as the app otherwise is super. Too bad Yahoo allows that. Please get an honest ad network instead.

The app gives a lot of information but it has its share of bugs. The top drawer kind of notification goes off sometimes and reappears in 5 seconds or so. It does change its position too. Good part is, it doesn't feel like it's eating a lot of battery. Details are good and nice to see.

The app isn't updated enough doesn't give true weather. When special alerts are given you read them then delete they keep popping back up which is ridiculous

This app would be okay if it wasn't for the ad that appears under your finger when the app opens as you try to scroll up. I've unintentionally clicked on that ad multiple times. I'm sure that registers as a "click-through" even though I immediately reverse my way out of it. This is a dirty trick as it provides your advertising customer with false information while simultaneously PISSING ME OFF!

A little disappointed that the font for the main temperature number is chunky instead of light like in the screenshots here and on iOS. Not sure if its the system font i'm using, or just some Andriod convention, but it would be nice to have the OPTION of using a light font (as shown). Also wish the widgets had more options like completely removing the background, etc.

Until last week you would have a 5 ???? due to accuracy and awesome photos. Now? 1 ????. My current location is off and so is my temp and weather. Why is this so hard? And why did it change? ????

Pretty accurate weather forecasts within the 24 hour range. Shame that the photos don't rotate into landscape mode anymore. Why's that?

Radar map doesn't work. It's the main thing I look for in a weather app. I will go back to using AccuWeather's app for now and try Yahoo again in a few months. See if they can fix the problem... UPDATE: 1 year later from my original review, still hate it. I mainly use AccuWeather but have this on my phone still and check it often to see if it's improved. It hasn't. Radar doesn't even show hurricane Irma. It's still the worst.

I wish it was more animated like clouds moving. It seems pretty accurate. Everyone dislikes ads but what you get for frer

The pix are supposed to match the location, I thought: pretty sure there are no mountains in Louisiana. The temp isn't always quite accurate. Otherwise, it's the best weather app I've found.

Years later still no animated radar. Disgusting ad featuring a finger covered in vaseline meant to resemble an erect penis. Not exactly the kind of images that I want to see when using a weather app whose advantage over others is its beautiful photos. Doesn't allow feedback without a Yahoo ID, hence this review.

Nice app, sadly the accuracy has deteriorated recently. Showing the same weather as the next town, 20 miles away. The 1500ft difference puts us in a different climate zone. Accuweather gets it right, this app not. Bi...

Visually beautiful. However the weather data has inconsistencies that will need to be addressed. Wd be good if the slides on city data is in a loop rather than one-way. And a home button for quick return.

I like the look of this app and the temperatures are usually accurate. Unfortunately it fails to forecast snow in my area - not a good thing!

Very useful app I can use for checking weather, temperature, sun rise, sun set time, hourly weather forecast. After I try many other weather apps which have so many annoying popup ad, I like Yahoo weather app because it has what I need.

Pretty poor. You cannot click on the next day or later days and get an overview of the weather. Very basic

The APP is awesome!! It gives all the information needed and even more! The only down side is that it has ads :(. Please take off those annoying ads Yahoo!

Its not as it used to be. Becoming worse every update. Most of the time it fails to give u the update. Will get rid of it if the next update doesn't fix this problem.

The plus side: I really like the pictures of each location, and that they change regularly. It's fun to follow different places around the world at a glance. The negatives: you cannot get any detailed information about the forecast in the future. You can only see the high and low temperature and the icon of clouds. I need to know the expected wind to plan for outings and clothing to send with my child for school. So unfortunately I glance at this app for fun to follow places far away, but use the Google weather app as my everyday go to even though it isn't as nice to look at.

I like this app however would like to see separate options for wind speed and pressure settings ie. Knots wind speed, viz in km pressure in millibars. Temperature in C . Currently not able to select them individually

Visually beautiful. Sadly, the hourly forecasts often contradicts the daily. The hourly can show no rain right through to the next day, while the daily shows thunderstorms. You never know what is correct.

Very less accuracy, it is showing thunderstorms and rain at my current locatuon for last 2 days.. but its partially cloudy. ios weather prediction is much better.

Prettiest weather app, I love the changing photos for most locations. I also like the general design of the app, widgets, and appreciate weather-related info. HOWEVER the forecasts tend towards INACCURATE!

Only app i found that has world time AND weather. Complete weather forecasts. Very convenient for me even though im not a traveler. 2 thumbs up, 2 toes up as well!

If I had to choose between Yahoo Weather or The Weather Channel, in my opinion I chosed Yahoo weather. Because one it has the same thing as The Weather Channel app, second most importantly it doesn't take up space on your phone or battery either. Any app not taking up space on your phone is a good thing. Always room for improvement too.

Love this app. Extremely helpful. I have multiple family in multiple states. I do all things Yahoo. Never had a problem as of yet. Been using it for almost 18 years. I used to be a professional driver and used it in my truck. Thanks Yahoo Weather People

I have a few locations stored that show the weather in the widget but when I open the app, it doesn't show the weather. Please fix it. It gets super irritating, super quick. Edit: App works like a charm now. Love the simplistic interface and the background pictures.

Today it was raining since 9pm it's still raining and now it's 1:46am but haven't shown rain in Chandigarh. Need to work on it

I enjoy the accuracy and ease of this app. Only drawback that I find is a lack of information when I'm looking at the coming days, but I suppose they can only know so much.

i do really like the yahoo weather. temps are off at times and maybe a little more info. not too many ads which is great. much better than the sucko weather channel.

Updated review: 3 1/2 stars This app has improved alot more since my last review in 2014. However, it could still be better...Especially if it #1 had *Radar animation* like some other weather apps do AND it would be higher rated if it can be #2 **viewed in Landscape **as well. The pictures are beautiful though.

This is definitely the most attractive weather app out there, but it is also full of well presented information. I especially like the breakdown of probability of rain for different parts of the day and hour by hour.

WHAT THE F happened to being able to edit my locations list order. Fire whomever is redoing this app. It's getting worse.

Best weather app ever, I stay up to.date on weather where my family live in numerous locations around the globe. It was also.very helpful during hurricane Harvey, I was on the path of the hurricane but kept informed on wind and rain changes during the storm.

Seems pretty accurate with the weather forecast. I like the wind speed. I have tried different Apps, this is the best one so far. Last thing, it's free. Thanks for the free app.
