This app is getting worse and worse, behaves more and more strangely and annoyingly. Too bad , this Yahoo is no"that" Yahoo anymore. I wonder If they ever test this app before release each update. If there is another choice, I would abandon it. With Google Finance had continued because they know how to build good app

Good app. I use Robinhood as the broker and track on this mobile app. When I chart on the website itself and save my list, it's nice to have it sync to the app. Also tried out the link account option. It works but be wary with Robinhood. It does take about a 5 min delay to post your sale or purchase. It does sync your holdings well but of course it can't sync everything from Robinhood.

Bad for stock graph. I want to be able to tap and see the price as number on given data. Only number it tells me if what its at now. I'm not interest end in guess the price from last year +/- $20

Really enjoy yahoo finance itself, but coupled with the trashy advertising and promotional articles, I can't stomach it. Downloaded Google finance instead. Downloaded for the second time when an ad promised cryptocurrency charts. Wasn't able to pull up find the xrp to follow. Uninstalled. No luck with the app :

It does a basic job, could b better. Just the whole of yesterday the app couldnt let me look at the stock listings. Very sick! I finally had to open a mobile browser to look at individual stock performances.

F70%
by F####:

I sometimes notice it very slow when updating stock prices. This is usually for smaller stocks, but annoying nonetheless. For example after refreshing, it'll still display old prices which I can see are wrong with other apps Also, the constant garbage for Motley Fool clogging up the newsfeed is awful.

K70%
by K####:

I like this app because it provides me quick access to my latest stock prices and the charts that show the history of the stock. I can also add new stocks very easily. I struggle with deleting stocks from my list but I think I will learn how to do it soon.

The app is very good but there are two things that need attention. First, the portrait and landscape 3 month stock charts show different dates (landscape is correct). Second, having a "my portfolio" chart would be a very useful addition. Thanks for an otherwise very useful app!

Robinhood account not linking and no response from feedback. Very disappointing for me. Response to previous review was timely and problem was fixed. Now I'm back to enjoying the app like before.

K70%

The app is great, but I don't like the ad's. So many targeted at the stereotypical male, no matter how many times I tell the app to stop showing them.

K70%

Awesome app! Love the real-time quotes in $ and/or %, as well as the news feeds. Great user interface! Only thing is that Dow should be on the left not in the middle.

K70%
by K####:

It's a solid app for stock info. The edge app version is not working though. Keeps saying server error. That was my best way of quickly tracking my stocks. Please fix. Thanks.

Thank you for toning down both the political rhetoric and the video only commentaries. This is rapidly returning to a very useful tool for both amateur and professional stock enthusiasts. Good job. Thank you for listening.

I70%
by I####:

Doesnt update the stock values when the stockmarkets open just keeps the figure from last night anx only changes to the new figure once the stockmarket has shut again. Absolutely useless finance app that only updates the figures after the stock markets have closed. And no alarms either to tell you when it has dropped. So it doesnt the stock figures only once the markets closed And on top of that you cant have alarms set to let you know when the share price has fallen and when you look that the price it tells you the previous close. DONT DOWNLOAD WASTE OF TIME!!!

Good app to watch market news and get stock updates. Have had issues when I try to look at the holdings within my portfolio, this causes app failure and I have had to redownload.

Need to restructure layout to make it more agile and interactive. Few features appears to be cosmetic and irrelevant.... Overall functionalities are good. Will rate 3 out of 5

K70%
by K####:

App is okay. Displays many of the features found on full website however contains several bugs that he'd to be fixed. In order to bite my portfolio dearie I first have to go to my watchlist, then I'll be able to see the portfolio I wanted to see in the first place. Also, sometimes it gets stuck in landscape mode for no reason and I have to back out of whatever I'm doing to get it because to portrait mode. Would also love a way to see some of my custom views that I've set up on the full website.

it used to be much better before. now you don't know what your screen shows. for example, if you ask for most active shares, you get something like BRCD, which was most active on a day several months ago

L70%

This version 3.16.0 is the worst version so far. The precious top space is taken up by selection bars.

K70%

Was using Google finance until they ruined it. This app is great. I can search and find stocks unlike google finance which was destroyed by them

K70%
by K####:

App was good. Nice hub for articles but latest update makes it so hard to get to my watch list. Why was this change made? I wanna open app an see my watch list like before. Correct this

M70%
by M####:

The best app for shares but still needs some extra fields for portfolio like sell commissions. Tax costs and so or if you are using tfsa accounts

K70%
by K####:

The Explore Watchlists sometime don't load properly when selected, which makes the app freeze. When this happens, it take you back to the Watchlist categories. Not the worst thing but somewhat annoying.

K70%
by K####:

So much potential yet not enough effort given in this app development. When app starts it just shows watchlists names ... Can't switch to watchlist by clicking on the name. Have to click on My watchlists breadcrumb at the top, select a watchlist and only then will show the details... Very poor design. App frequently crashes when you move away from it. And those ads make the whole experience even worse.i understand the model but you are really pushing the limits here. Unfortunately despite all of this Y Finance is still the only app who aggregates information and makes it available freely to users and thus the 2 stars.

I have been using Finance features on My Yahoo since late 1990s and switch to this app was easy and obvious next step for smartphone. Very useful. Thanks

K70%
by K####:

Use to like it. Was compact format but easy to just scroll for more info. Latest layout is bloated horizontally so doesn't fit as well and forces click scroll close click scroll etc when more than one portfolio. Classic case of a confused making it"pretty" over functional

K70%
by K####:

It works perfectly on my sumsung s8. But when I try go to details view of any portfolio list on sumsung tablet Tab S the application crashes.????

K70%
by K####:

Not useful app. Developers need to understand that for any portfolio two views are important - First the performance i.e. how well it is doing (profit/loss); Second the Transactions i.e. Buy / Sell qty, date & price info. For proper info, stock split, bonus, dividends etc need to be incorporated in back end as for users it would be cumbersome. GUI can be made easier. For example, to delete list, why we need to open the list & then delete, the same can be provided outside. How to view/add/delete individual transactions ? Used Import Google portfolio feature, but then for most stocks details are not available. Looks like there is a lot of mapping issue. E.g. TATASTEEL in Google portfolio is TATASTEEL.NS in Yahoo portfolio. There is no easy option to change this also. Problem does not end here. Even total market value is shown wrong for many cases. Overall unreliable & not useful. In depth understanding of its usage needs to be studied by developers. They can check google portfolio which is near perfect but unfortunately going to close down.

I like how I get notifications for headlines on my watch lists. It's also food for quickly checking prices because you don't have to log in.

Nice app it would be nice if stocks were more up-to-date instead of the 15 or 20 minutes difference but I really like it

There is a discrepancy between the app and the online version. Using the same login, I compared one of my portfolios side by side, apples to apples, during trading and the app was 20k different than the desktop! All of the share amounts, prices and dates purchased were identical between the desktop and the app but the desktop was accurate, the app i wasn't. Also, to report this as an issue thru the app, everything about you and your phone needs to be sent. No thanks.

One of the best app for day trading. More scope to improve. This app needs lot of improvements 1.Daily gainers, losers, actives need to be shown. 2. IPO comings, trade halts, investments on stocks by institutions, Ownerships need to be shown. 3. Targets and forecast must be shown. 4. Often real time is delayed. 5. Buy, hold, sell predictions must be included. 6. Institutional and mutual fund investors of each stock must be included. 7.. More news about penny and mid cap stocks needed. 8. RSS fed on IPO' s needed. 9.. Interface interactivity need to be improved.

I like the fact that there is continually updating of the market and the ability to add multiple stocks. I wish there was a way to update dividends. I wrote the previous over two years ago but now I have noticed that Yahoo So called Journalists are taking every opportunity they can to write articles with an anti Trump bias. Keep your politics out of it and just give us the financial news!
