The tool works and it helped me, simply ensure that the backup file is in your MemoPad app folder. I moved mine from SD to phone memory and it worked

This is a great app! When changing phones last year I was unaware of this app, so I emailed each memo to my own email address, then painstakingly copied each email into its own memo file. Even though this app can't write to your SD card with Kitkat, that's not a problem at all. All you have to do is bring up the menu in the app and select Change Directory. Then select /storage/emulated/0. Select the option to Export to SD Card. Go to the My Files default app for viewing your files. Go to Device storage and open the MemoPad folder. The csv file is in that directory and is named with the date and time of the backup. From there you can move the file to your SD card by putting your finger on the file name and holding it there until a check box shows up to the left of the file name. Select the menu option (three vertical dots in the upper right) and select Move. Then you can select your SD card and the folder you want to put it in.

It should not be that hard to transfer 28kb of data between two identical phones. #motox

Since it isn't able to export to the SdCard when using Kit Kat or Lollipop, it's useless.

It does not work. Gives "failed to access SD card," and does nothing. It did same thing on my old Galaxy S3 as it does on my s5 - nothing.
