About iBharat
FICCI’s “i-Bharat” initiative was started in 2014, as a series of annual conferences to engage government and the private sector in exchanging views and deliberate upon achieving India’s positive transformation through effective implementation of ICT at the domestic level. This year the prime focus of the event shall be on “promoting Governance through IT, and using IT as a tool for India’s Socio-Economic Transformation”.
i-Bharat aims to surface important policies and regulatory issues and investment barriers. It is a collective effort to look for solutions and implementations. i-Bharat offers a platform to private sector and representative from different states of India to interact with each other and with peers of different horizontals of multiple sectors to discuss about mutual benefits, relationship. The conference will be addressed by senior officials from the Government, Industry Leaders and Investors, who will discuss the role and scope Digital Technologies for Smart Cities, Digital Transformation in Urban Development, Connected Government, challenges being faced, and to find the solutions, towards an ICT-driven transformation in the state. Focus of the event shall also be on promoting further investments and enhancing participation of the technology industry in bringing development in higher education and healthcare, convenient transportation facilities and generation of employment opportunities in states. It also looks forward for transforming the traditional method of governance to e-governance to achieve a holistic level or compliance and transparency.
