ColorTRUE for Android
I lost my money buying the expensive i1 Display pro, because even though it says it is supported, ColorTrue only works if you buy it from x rite directly, it won't work if you buy it from an OEM. Why don't you say this in the software description?! X rite create software that won't work with their own hardware so I might as well buy a spider 4 instead. At least datacolor make software that works with their hardware.
Took several tries to get the calibration to complete. Now I can't even open ColorTRUE as it just crashes. Fail!
I bought an adapter in order to use this Android app with my ColorMunki Display, and it will not recognize my calibration device. I am very disappointed even though I love ColorMunki for my desktop. I really wanted to use this!
App is non-functional on my LG G5 running Nougat. Very disappointing given that accurate mobile device calibration was advertised as a product feature. I even paid for a USB-C adapter to allow me to connect my brand new i1 Display Pro.
Ouuch.. Contrary to X-Rite claims the I1 Display Pro is not recognized on Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. App stalls at initialization and button for proceed/exit is even unresponsive to X = exit. Never had any problems with USB OTG for my other devises: Oscilloscope, USB Microscope, USB DAC headset, harddrives etc. Happy with the I1 on the desktop system but this app clearly lacks maturity.
After picking a photo the app crashes. Would also really like to see video support, but any functionality would be an improvement at this point.
It never worked on my Galaxy Note 3 with my Color Display from x-rite. It just shows a black screen with the remaining time left for calibration and it stays like that forever. It's really sad that a company as big as X-rite can't get software engineers who actually know what they are doing.
Worked on my Huawei Honor 7. I had to connect and disconnect a couple of times before it found the i1 Display? One Step occasionally found the calibrator around the application and it seems to have worked.
Color calibrated profiles have to be functioning at system level, period. Not only via a couple 3rd party apps that have nothing to do with actual image editing. Until xrite gets this supported by Google directly in the OS. There is no reason for professional photographers to even bother with this app.
I have i1display pro and the color from laptop and colortrue is different so much, on colortrue, they just increase the red of the picture no matter what. I also hope you in upcoming update the color calibration affect in all apps without have to open color true galery like other apps that increase contrast, temp of our mobile display
Crashes when trying to launch the gallery on Android N 7.0 + Nexus 6.
Does not work with Samsung s7 edge. Works on Pixel C tablet using i1 Display pro
Go get an otg cable calibrate all your mobile devices. Now colors look spot on! Glad X-rite did this move!
I cannot get it to finish a calibration cycle.
Is there going to be an update so that it will work on android devices with the color munki smile ....says that it works with ipad and color munki smile....WHY NOT ANDROID
I have a ZTE Axon 7 and the app works as advertised. Just wish it had system wide capabilities.
Connect a color Munk and shuts down
LG devices are shown as being compatible but it does not seem to work with this combination
Very good on my IP6+ but can't use in mate 8 and SONY
most of the download consists of a video advert for the device. not much fun, i don't see why there cannot be a default setting for sRGB, which most/all modern display devices are factory-calibrated to, which would at least give users a chance to get started with previewing different printer output-profiles
will consider a better review id I ever get it to run but x-rites documentation is pathetic. Video say connect via wireless BUT....not the case for Android. Have been bitterly disappointed with poor documentation in general from x-rite and this is just another case of it. after wasting a ton of time trying to get it sorted have still not been able to get it to run EDIT - after watching the video (says wifi) reading on here that galaxy devices are supported, and google apps saying its compatible with my device....it isn't. Galaxy minis don't support OTG USB connection, and as it turns out wifi is just for apple, this doesn't work. shame it doesn't work on galaxy mini but I can live with an app that isn't supported by phone. Hate that it's a trip through numerous different and conflicting documentations to find that out.
I love the idea. however you need to support the photo version, even if an extra cable that has on external power supply connection .
The idea is great however at the moment only the ColorTRUE gallery still supports it a year after its launch. It would be nice system level. The app also is very slow to render an image, it shouldn't take a few seconds to render an image file with a color profile. I also have issues with the aspect ratio sometimes the photos appear squished when rotating the phone forcing you to rotate again before it corrects itself. Needs a lot of work still. Phone used was a Note 4
Repeatedly crashes on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (android 5.0) at the black patch while connected by OTG cable to i1 Display Pro. Disappointed again - still no calibration; nor on Galaxy Tab 4 I tried. Only good news is the OTG cable is useful with other apps that actually work when connecting a camera, keyboard, memory card reader, usb hub, etc. UPDATE: Build 1.0.5(2432) failed too - freezes @ black patch with no error message, showing "9 minutes remaining" until cancelled after 20-30 minutes.
Good idea but when I plug in my device the application stops working! Not impressed at all.
I already had the device for my work in digital publishing, so getting this app was a no-brainer
Crashes when ever I click on the gallery icon on the start screen. Nexus 5, Android 6.0 edit: reinstalled google photos and it works now.
Need to support more devices my new Motorola Droid Turbo is not supported, please add more devices
Please expand device support. Sony has even a white balance setting
Video is misleading. Shows that the ColorMunki Smile is compatible, but it absolutely is not. A reason for my original purchase was in my believing it would work for both my PC and Android device. Was hoping this issue would have been resolved this past summer, but it hasn't been. I feel misled.
Does not work on Z3 compact. Freezes in the middle of the test. Tried with i1 Display pro. Really disappointed.
I'm sorry but my i1 Pro 2 plugged into my Mac book Pro and is not being seen.
Works perfectly with Samsung Galaxy Tab S with AMOLED display. Looks brilliant! On top of the display remains a grey transparent bar covering the picture which is annoying. I could not find out how to remove it. Unfortunately I could not calibrate my Sony Xperia Z3 compact. The process always freezes after some minutes.
Works great on the S6 running 5.1.1. No hassles, colour difference is visible.
Never finishes calibrating. Stops on blue most of the time .
Kind of useless if the app just stops during calibration. Using an i1 Pro which is recognised and starts calibration, but then about 2/3 through just stops progressing so it's no use. At least it was free
With the latest update the app now works great on both my galaxy tablet and phone. Thanks for fixing it!
Needs Colormunki Smile support.
Very very useful app, I do have a request. It would be more useful if the app went into gallery tab as a default once device has been calibrated otherwise excellent.

I have an I1 Display Pro, but this app was unable to complete the calibration with it. It stops somewhere in the middle and no matter how much I wait it does not finish calibrating.
